  • Salla was such a beautiful place, and I wish I had more time to explore the area! Both the nature and people were nice, and I would love to have relaxed there for a day or two.
I might have some of the information wrong. Oulanka National park stretched from Salla to Kuusamo municipality/ Lapland and Northern Ostrobothnia Region. I'm a bit confused about where the different places are located. I believe that The Small Bears Trail ( shown in black and white in the video) as well as Pähkänänkallio ( at the start of the video) are located in Kuusamo region and not in Salla.
Sadly my health did not improve and I had to listen to my body and take a break. Visit Lapland continued further north while I slept the next few days.
My next adventure goes to Jyväskylä where I’m meeting my Friend Julie (@julsus on instagram) where she is having her internship.
Thank you for watching and hope I see you next time! :D

I love how you captured the light in this video, absolutely beautiful scenery. These types of quiet, solitary moments of just being surrounded by nature brings back fond memories of Finland. Enjoying your videos, keep it up.

Thank you so much! it was such an amazing experience! it’s hard to show how it feels being there at 4am watching the nature waking up, so I’m glad that i could awaken some memories for you :))

    Well, you learn from mistakes.
My family's trips often r directed to even more north - north Norway, but with some 4 or 5 decades of experience we pack almost everything with us. Darkening curtains r a must if youve problems with the midnight sun, same with a mosqito proof sleep/rest spot. Finnish made Solifer mobile homes r quite good all in one option, if got enough budget. Even some winter clothing is good to carry with, 'cos coldest temps at july can b -5C ish with a brand new snowcoat, and incase of broken heater nothing is too much clothing.

Yes absolutely, I was so under prepared! I’m not from the northern part of Norway and had never experience anything like this before, so it came as a shock.
How exiting, I hadn’t camped before this, but I definitely want to go camping more often hopefully I’ll get some decades of experience as well! Thank you for the tips, I’ll keep it in mind for next year!
I absolutely learned from my mistakes. The mistakes are huge part of the journey, It is something that I won’t forget In the future!

Spend my youth in Salla. I wonder if there's diminishing returns with the life span thing.
