@@pushpatterns I can, if I use my mouse to drag them on the tracks but they are not in the directory and I can't use them as an instrument. For example if I download a bass sound, I can't use that bass as an instrument, I only have the audio sample, I can't use it in the piano roll
@@arthurbrunet2177 Yes, what you are describing are audio samples. They cannot be used as an instrument directly, but you can drag the file into simpler or sampler to play as an instrument. However, what you need are some VST plugins. There are a few available in Ableton Live, such as Drift.
hey i did everything perfectly but when i go to ableton to insert thee sound into the plug in it doesnt appear in my files but when i open my files normally i can clearly see it someone help lol
I only had them because this was a new computer when I was doing the video. Run the video and if you still can’t find the you will need to locate where the files are stored. This is in the video as well. Hope this helps
It can be confusing, but there are 3 types of plugins you can use in Live: AU, VST2, and VST3. Any of these will work, but AU plugins are apparently more efficient on Mac computers. You can use the new filters in Live 12's browser to limit the number of versions you see.
