This is a perfect device for someone that has rented a studio that will not allow a hot plate. Thanks for showing us something new.

  • @caro1591

The big downside to these devices is that you can’t batch-cook a massive pan of something and make loads of meals in one go, which is a real time-saver. I bought a Thermomix, which is pretty similar and never use it for cooking now for this reason. Also, I found it easier to make risotto in a pan. It’s great for making peanut butter etc. but I’m sure I could have found a cheaper grinder and still have had change for a Magimix. Other downside: it takes up a huge amount of space on the worktop. Sorry for being so negative. I love the work you do but I don’t want anyone to splash out a fortune without weighing up the pros and cons.

I cook a lot , and I mean a lot , I even preserve food etc . I bought a thermomix and never use it for cooking , I only use it to grind food , like Parmesan , bread crumbs etc . The bowl is far too small and even following the recipe to a T I find that sometimes things stick to the bottom, for instance whist making custard . I would not recommend buying one either

I am a retired chef and I plan on going on the road traveling through the United states as a nomad living in a RV or a van and this will use 1500 watts a power which is a little bit high but it's about the same as a instapot. This appliance would save a lot of storage and a lot of utensils appliances ETC. I might have to look into getting one of these it make my cooking easier on the road.👍🎅

Hi that sounds amazing, but something you must keep in mind these machines don't want to be moved around too much, it would cause you to have problems with your scales. It has a special transportation mode, so for someone on the go, you would have a whole procedure to follow before you move it. Enjoy your travels, sounds AWESOME.

For the price and the fact rhat it's computerized, you shouldn't have to adjust the settings so much, needs to be set it and forget it. Should also have a second pot option for rice and such. That ways things are done at the same time.

$900 plus $79 for the steamer set and extra for 2 other things (slow-cook plug and a blade cover) brings it to just over $1,000 😰
I enjoy cooking and having the ability to change my recipes on a whim, with added creativity and flare and this cuts a lot of this out.
Also, not spending enough money for a holiday for my family of 4 on a device that does things I already have the equipment and appliances for 🤷‍♀️

I bought one on the official website in installments. For me, this saves me a lot of time and allows me to focus more on work and fun things. Also, with this machine, I don't need to buy a juicer, dough kneader, and wall breaker, which will leave me with more money. On the other hand, compared to other brands (thermomix), Tokit has a cheaper price, which consider people's hardships

Would have liked to see the clean up process after the ice cream

    • @SquidandCatAdventures
      @SquidandCatAdventures Рік тому

You put in hot water from the tap up to the 1L mark (about halfway), put in a squirt of dish soap, and then press the "pre-clean" button which warms the water and spins it around for a couple of minutes (while you do other things). I used to have a regular food processor a long time ago, and didn't realize letting the machine do the work of getting all of the sticky things out was the way to go. It feels easier cleaning the machine up than cleaning a pot, really because of this. I still rub a brush around a bit on the inside of the lid and the sides of the bowl with the soapy water after this to make sure I get everything, and then rinse. I pretty much use the pre-clean function everytime I use the machine. It feels like I'm using a lot of water (and electricity) but I bet if I saved all the water I'd use completely handwashing, it would probably be about the same. Especially with thick foods.

$1,050.00 is really quite a bit of money. I'm afraid the display will break or malfunction, then what? If I was a young professional with no time or interest in cooking and living in a studio apartment, this would be ideal. However, I have a hickory cutting board, a sharp set of knives and cleavers, and a Vitamix. I've got all my bases covered at a fraction of that cost.

As a Portuguese this is a handy for our typical Mediterranean diet, I am surprised you only found out about it now. But for the ones that live on sandwich and packaging food or had tons of time on their hand to dedicate to cooking, I wouldn’t buy it.

Expensive thermomix does not mean better quality, just because thermomix uses mutiple level marketing. Therefore, thermomix must use expensive prices to maintain such a sales system. Tokit has a more reasonable operating profit, so it is cheaper, which does not mean that tokit is of poor quality.

Do you consider a diet subsisting of beans and rice (plus a multivitamin and obligatory B12) to be...
    A) An appropriately planned vegan diet, healthful, nutritionally adequate, and appropriate for individuals during all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and for athletes?
    and..
    B) Due to the relative low cost tot he individual and ease of access in obtaining that it not only meets but upholds the founding axiom of Veganism "as far as is possible and practicable" (i.e., within the power or capacity of someone to put into practice successfully) "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude- as far as is possible and practicable -all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."?

I recently bought a vorwerk Thermomix Tm6, I watched endless videos of all these machines, so the problem I have with Tokkit is every video I watched they would state that Tokit donated them with a machine to make the demonstration videos and obviously they would praise this wonderful Tokit, so I contacted the agents trying to find out where I could purchase it. This was in October 2022, a few days later I received a very strange email telling me they would be on festival holiday from sometime in January to sometime in February 2022 and that they are short staffed, well it is now December I never heard from them again, so all cool to donate machines to random people, but a customer wanting to actually purchase the machine they pay no attention to. Well I could not imagine what their aftersales treatment would be like. When I bought the Thermomix I had an agent come to personally deliver my machine and she spent the whole day at my house teaching me different tips and recipes not listed, so I got way more, also she is a phone call away, I can contact her at any time for help or new recipes, Tokit has no customer friendly service, I am EXTREMELY happy with my Thermomix and would not recommend Tokit, simply because the customer is not important to them.
