After all this time they still put Jamie in charge of colouring things...excellent 😂
😂 poor J.
Exactly my thought! 😂
And purple of all colors. 😆
He is only colourblind, its fiiiiineeee
And still get frustrated with him for not getting it right. I love these guys' friendship. 🤣😂🤣
The fact that Barry knew how to apply the gold leaf without making a huge mess proves he's the king of pretentious ingredients.
But couldn't follow instructions on a gadget. Very Barry.
@@tyger1147 unfortunately he isn't a inspector
Christine Benson. so someone, anyone, who learns and advances their knowledge and skills are pretentious. That's what an absolute failure would say.
@@linebrunelle1004 I think you need to chill out a bit. They regularly joke about Barry liking pretentious ingredients and gold leaf is a textbook pretentious ingredient (it's literally style over substance - it adds no flavour to the dish).
Maybe we should have just 3D printed our cake too 😂
You tried, and that’s all we can ask for in the kitchen. Even if it was very very wrong
that would be solid!
I'd like to see a return of this concept, but now planned ahead :)
I bet y'all would win w something savoury tho
If only that was an option...🤤!!! 😫🤦🏼♀️😂
Jamie trying to fix it by spraying it with glitter is a literal metaphor for my life 😂
😆 I get you!! Most of my life is slightly sparkly shite 💩✨️
you cant polish a cake, but you can roll it in glitter
Me panicking my way through the exam season with fabulous glittery nails.
@@philrobbie1670 😆😃😅 👏👏👏
There's a game called "Little Miss Fortune" and that's literally part of the game play. She has a bottle of glitter that she sometimes sprays on bad things to make them more bearable and it's a heart-wrenching and adorable story.
I would actually love to see a chef use all of these gadgets to try and achieve the same result as they did without them (but they HAVE to use the gadgets) to see if they could do it or not
Great idea!
I was thinking the same thing...again a bit too much "what not to do." I'd like to see what Ben could come up with using these same gadgets and the same amount of time. Also I'd just like to see Ben cook more often!
Yes! Make Ben do it! Or invite James back and spring it on him 😁😁😁
THAT would be epic! I suspect they would smash it!
I bet they could, chefs know how to follow recipes.
Arun saying "This is the nicest thing in the kitchen" and both Barry and Jamie taking a second before going "Oy!" made me laugh. :)
In fairness - Mike wasn't in the kitchen today 😇
When they poured the absolutely liquid batter TO THE BRIM of those cake moulds and put them in this teeny tiny toaster oven I gasped and cursed audibly and my sister from the other side of the room was like 'Are you watching Bake-off or something, you never get this worked up unless it's bake off.'
"YES, you've just beaten 12 minutes of air into them!" 😂exasperated Ben is best Ben.
I just love this guy
I didn't realize until about halfway through that you had added the gadget prices in both pounds and dollars. That's rather accommodating and appreciated, thank you!
You’re welcome :)
I didn't realize I first either!!
I would have loved Euros too (:
I just love how Jamie is always the one in charge of colouring food even though everyone knows he’s colourblind. 😂
And kudos to Jamie for not letting that hold him back.
Good point!! 😂
He’s a full grown man I wouldn’t expect a lighter shade of a colour to destroy his life 🤦🏽♂️soft generation
@@cheesybellend6842 lol what
@@cheesybellend6842 Jamie is colorblind.
@@cheesybellend6842 you are indeed a bellend
"Is there a good side?" "It's probably the lowest budget thing I've ever seen gold leaf on." Kinda sums up this episode. Wonderful collaboration. Arun seemlessly fit in with the 'normal' lads. Brilliant!
I'm still laughing at the leap from "using (expensive) tech for pro chef results" to "mug cake". 🤣🤣🤣
I’m still intrigued at the shift from “make a cake with tech” to “Jamie makes things while Barry and Arun play with toys.”
Thank you for giving Kush the chance to flex his chef skills with the fanciest piece of cake I've ever seen. If only I could taste it too. It sounds heavenly.
I want a recipie but at the same time, I know it is beyond me.
Id love to see a second version of this where Kush and Ben are given free reign with the tech.
After seeing Kush go full chaos elf, I’m unsure that would be in the interest of safety.
Jamie points out at the end how the tech took them outside of their comfort zone, so they could just reverse everything... Have the Chefs with Tech could go head to head against the Normals without Tech. 😄
It also might be amusing if the Chefs did something essentially impossible for a human being using tech but didn't reveal they used tech, and have the Normals try to duplicate it on their own. 😇
the problem with the 3d printed chocolate is each layer didnt have enough time to cool if you print 2 or maybe even 3 at a time it gives each layer more time to cool.. regular 3d printers have a part cooling fan that makes it possible for it to set better..
Now that is a very good point.
I would like to see it print a benchy for anyone who doesn't know what this is it's a little boat used to test a 3d printer
@@TheFallenFaob or a chocolate version of that guys friends butt
Be VERY careful with those exposed lasers. If it's powerful enough to engrave, burn or cut, its definitely powerful enough to cause permanent eye damage. Even the reflections off of say, a shiny plate, can be harmful. Often, these chinese lasers are advertised with very unsafe usage examples and the included goggles etc. are often very lacking.
This should be a pinned comment! It's a blue/violet laser, so it doesn't look like much because the eyes are not very sensitive to those wavelengths, but at this power, even just looking at the spot is enough to do damage.
Came here to say this. Open laser modules are incredibly dangerous and really shouldn’t be promoted so loosely.
Yeah this is one of those sketchy products. Amazon page doesn't declare the laser wattage, most of their more recent products come with built in shields (this was the original mass marketable one).
It's almost certain that the laser is powerful enough to blind, likely well beyond the point of focus. The whole team in the room should have goggles on (actual goggles) when that is connected to power.
I mean heck, it's not even held down. What happens when it falls over? Get a nice engraving on the cameraman's eye? Pray that the bottom bin safety works?
@@faithnfire4769 Exactly. Or what about the laser reflecting off of a shiny utensil. I get the appeal of these devices, but the way these things are marketed is just incredibly negligent.
@@vidm96 yeah, unfortunately, as cool as lasers are in general it needs to be remembered that these products avoid some of the most important laser safety practices in the goal of marketability.
Retinas do not grow back!
This is the most perfect Barry episode ever. Barry spends his time fathing about with tech. Jamie does some random things he hopes will work, the audience laughs the entire time.
After so many years...they still haven't learnt to not let the colorblind person mix the colors xD He's trying his best
I would love a compilation of people correcting Barry or showing him a technique, and him just dismissing it with "It's Fine". Coz it's usually not fine 😂
What an incredible collab
So glad you enjoyed it 😁
What a gorgeous (and equally charming) human being Arun is.
I couldn't agree more. He's invited 2 check out my gadgets anytime.
Wow, what a cool and calm energy Arun brings to this. I'd love to see him again on this show!
‘Mr. Look who’s finally found a Barber’ HAHAHA Omg Ben let us breathe before you launch sick burns 🔥
this was NOT a collaboration I was expecting at all, but omg am I here for it! I haven't laughed this hard in a very long time, thanks boys!
The genuine-ness of those, 'Oi's!' at 5:25 killed me. You could hear how proud of their kitchen the boys are XD
It was a Huttlestorm without Mike. Thanks for the 3am laughs.
Arun was such a great guest, you should invite him back!
Lol, put the colour blind person in charge of making the coloured icing.
Makes sense huh?
This video just taught me that it's best to listen and watch what great cooks like our (parents, grandparents and chefs) teach us. Gadgets just cant give the care and love when we cook.
If you can't follow instructions, gadget or no gadget, you're gonna end up with a mess.
When I saw Barry fill up the cake molds, I knew exactly what was going to happen lol and that's AFTER they messed up the recipe.
2 of my favorite UA-cam channels collaborating 😭🥺
Can Sunday get any better?!
Enjoy! 😁
Well I’m saving myself some time and money and just shopping my local pastry shop. 😂
Not a collaboration I would have thought to suggest, but it was a perfect match!
Simply getting Arun on here is already a win :D
Now this is a crossover I did not expect.
Oh my god, how did i miss this video. To see both my love of food and tech combine AND have the respective UA-camrs that i love do a collab? This has been an insane experience
3:27 barry trying so hard not to laugh
Honestly would love to see more "recreation" videos. Have the food team go wild and put together a stunner, and have the boys have match it one to one. Undecided if I want to give them the recipe...
This is a crossover I didn't know I wanted but now I need it 😂 love it
Nah this is the best cross over ever
It’s not complete until someone shouts BARRY
Man, that is an intriguing result, that came with a typically chaotic Sorted challenge.
I know we‘re grown adults but - come on! 😂
Gadgetry is no replacement for actual experience and skill, but oh BOY, is it fun watching it all try! XD
These collabs are great - I would love to see you do something with Martyn Odell (aka Lagom Chef). He has the chaos of the normals with the genius of the chefs!
I would like to see Barry Lewis and his family in the kitchen...
I love seeing Kush more and more integrated into the videos - he's fantastic and gets better and better on camera! Maybe we'll see him in a new pass it on? 👀
I agree 100% Kush is adorable would love to see him more 😊
If I were Kush, I'd be sick that day.
At the price of those gadgets you might as well just take yourself to culinary school.
Haha. That’s brilliant.
Yeah pretty much 😂
Or hire your own chef
Nobody mentioning that Arun easily cracked the eggs with only one hand?
Excellent video, always love to see new tech comparisons.
Didn't know Arun before this video. He's great. Repeat guest?!?!!
After Yuzu, Chorizo and Manuka, I think Isolmalt has found its way to be a friend of the channel as well 😂
It looks that way 😂
i really want Kush in a Pass it on....
This has got to happen.
That uncovered laser on desk scares me. One out of 5 people with goggles is not proper laser safety.
Great show, and good to see Aaron as a visitor. Please invite him again for some gadget review or similar! 👍😁
So freaking cool to see Arun on this channel. He rocks.
Why do they always let Jamie make decisions about color? 😂
0:55 I wouldn’t know wether to eat that, or put it on top of the Christmas tree 🎄
Fair comment 😂
What a brilliant guest! More please! Love from Melbourne.
I kinda miss the long hair on Barry like Jamie and his beard sometime ago 🤣
Nah, he looked like he should live under a bridge. If he took better care of it, no issue. And the fact that he kept running his hands through it & then cooking skeeeved me out.
This is the collab I never thought off, but now it's all that I want
You guys should do a cooking gadget video with Barry Lewis! He's based in Bristol, and you would all get on hilariously!
I just suggested the same thing... Have you noticed the word 'stonking' creep into Sorted Food recently?
@@kathleenanne7868 I don't think I have! Or I never noticed it.
So cool to see Arun! And happy to see SORTED collabing with more and more people
Definitely have to have him on again he is awesome! Well done guys! 💖
Barry is much calmer under pressure than he used to be.
nice to see this colaboration! love both channels
Am I the only one who see an emoji in the final plate-up? A big pinkish smile, two black roundish eyes and a cute little crown. A happy princess! Or maybe a happy unicorn :)
You guys definitely took one for the team there, talk about style over substance! Imagine the kitchen equipment you can buy for £2500?
Yes! More gadgets! This is amazing!
What's that phrase now!? "All the gear & no idea."
Just show's you can't fake skill, talent & craftsmanship.
Great fun episode. Love from NW Pennsylvania.
What a pleasant surprise Watching this collab….simply awesome
No amount of tech can compensate for the level of human error we see here... And why is Jamie tasked with food coloring?!
I think burnt cake cologne could be a hit...
Arun is great! Definitely need to have him on again :)
After the last performance you might be looking for a Replicator from the friggin' Enterprise to save you.
This Collaboration was unexpected but absolutely amazing!
best colab ever, two of my favorite youtube channel , i never thought of them colaborating
Sunday funday Sorted... Techy Toys . Wish I had more counter space LoL
As an engineer, I can tell you the weakest tool in tech is always the human.
“This is the nicest bit in this kitchen” Barry and Jamie nodding in agreement 😂
It wouldn’t be a video with Barry in it if he didn’t maintain social distancing from the instructions.
I wouldn’t be picking him out as a Chemistry Lab Partner.
you guys are great. I enjoyed that. Thank you
The collab I didn't think I needed
SNAP!
Looked like great fun! Love your videos!
Absolutely hilarious video 🤣 please bring back Arun again!
I found this channel by accident a few days ago and i am hooked ✨ keep up the good work!!
Jamie looking so concerned when he says ‘just one! I picked the smallest one’🥹🥹😂
Great episode!
LOL. The few seconds of realization after "This is the nicest thing in this kitchen." LMAO I am dying.
I don't know which one, but Jamie deserves some sort of badge for problem-solving in this one.
lmfao when barry finally realized he was dissing the rest of the kitchen was priceless
Thinks proves chefs are still better without all the gadgets.
I’m wondering: at what point does it become more affordable to get all the expensive tech versus buying something from (in this case) a bakery?
It would be a case of figuring out how many cakes it would take for you to break even. And with that Tokit being over a grand, I'd say that would be a _lot_ of cakes.
The point where you've spent tens of thousands of pounds on cakes from a bakery.
@@Fyreflier Well, with a good cake for six personns being around thirty to forty bucks (excellent cakes by Michalak or Grolet are around 50 to 60 euros/dollars), you should get even with two cakes a week. So it's not too expensive in the end. You just have to hone your techniques and read a lot about cakes.
@@NeoNekoBoyWho is buying/can afford two cakes a week 😂
@@Fyreflier The Tokit does have the ability to make more than cakes though. You could conceivably replace your stovetop with it.
Never thought I would ever see Arun on sorted but I love it
I have only 2 Formats i look regulary on UA-cam and its nice to see both in one Video. Well done Guys.
I would love to see a version of this where one normal/group uses the normal skills and and another normal/group uses the gadgets to recreate a chef made dish.
This is awesome. Bring more youtubes on that cook or do tech this is a cool episode
That whimsical music at the background when they're trying their cake is an absolute comedy gold 😂
Gotta love Jamie taking charge of coloring something purple and Baz doing nothing to stop it 😂
The delay between the “this is like the nicest thing in the kitchen” and the “oi” from Barry killed me😂😂😂😂
This is certainly a collab I didn't know I needed
Never thought id see this collab lol, im here for it
