It truly is an australia of the depths, complete with: 1) Nobility falsely accusing people 2) sending said people away to a penal colony 3) murderous long legged bird things (emus)
Certainly making a convict’s fate known to the rest of the fort would definitely make a Dwarf reconsider committing a crime, especially if that fate is almost certain death at the hands of a lovecraftian-esc horrific underground abomination.
@@duckbread0 Indeed, In 20 years after the backlog of cases have had their wrongly accused Dwarf imprisoned and killed, this system would right itself, yes
I really like how you've made lots of different stories out of this one fort - that museum is a wonderful touch. Who knows, maybe adventurer patch will come out this year and we get to see the labyrinth as it was meant to be experienced, blind, confused and grabbing all foes by the toes
I don't think so because Meng and Etur both eventually got thirsty enough to drink the dirty cavern water. I think prisoner Eshtan was just so picky he would rather die than drink anything other than wine
I will likely never play DF, however I look forward to these videos. These inspire me to look for stories in the other logistics games I play. Thank you.
"So I falsely accused three dwarves who's negative attitudes were bringing down the mood" Classic Stalinist tactics XD. Game looks fun might buy it myself
@hoodiehair I recommend a alcohol and food dump via hatch in order to keep your new cave bound denizens alive. Just make sure to have a few z levels drop to ensure nothing can jump up, and I recommend locking the hatch when not in use. This also allows you to easily pitch in things like tools, weapon, and armor as needed. Of course don't forget to unforbid after it's dumped. I also recommend a everything but bodies and refuse stockpile on the dump square to avoid rot.
Using your prisoners to kill cave critters is a brilliant idea. I'd prefer to use rude/criminal visitors instead of falsely accusing my own dwarves though.
I love this channel dude! Let me know if you make a discord or something! You're an inspiration to all dorf fortress players with your callous disregard
Is the only way to falsely imprison dwarves by having a bunch of open cold cases? Any way to imprison enemies and other creatures? Or can that only be done via cage traps?
@@hoodiehair Thanks for confirming! I was trying to setup a prison fortress of the harshest military dwarves that would kill all non-dwarven creatures. Any survivors would be locked away in their prison. Dwarves would all be subject to constant training and would go on a world domination run. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out the prison system before I lost my computer so maybe that's an idea for a future vid 😉
Jabberers are surprisingly one of the scarier animals in DF. They are around 50 times the size of a dwarf and are hunting/war trainable. My only question is... who trained them?
Update: I sent a dwarf who kept throwing tantrums and making it’s so my dwarfs couldn’t walk on a one man mission to raze it and now she’s stumbling around obliviously

Your channel is such a delight to me, I'm always like: "That was very satisfying!" after I watch your videos. Keep it up!!

won't save them from being falsely accused for a 7 year old disorderly conduct though
@@pixelatedgrass7528 ah yes, but if nobody commits any crimes, there is no crimes to pin on the innocent

Rofl, 2:39 - Eshtan having a nap in the doorway immediately after chucking someone in their cell
Classic
i mean. lizard men and large bipedal birds, it really is australia down there
You should make a game show around this by throwing dwarves into the caverns and the last to survive is allowed to live.

The "other" logistics games lol...
You clearly haven't played DF to call it a logistics game. You silly boy.

Also rather fascist.
Australia of the Caves…. Fascinating!
Great video! Excited for cave australia colony v2
Were those WILD war jabberers??
yeah they seemed unaffiliated with any army
They fight the truest war of all, on the side of justice*
@@hoodiehair That's SO strange!!!!
Absolutely adore your videos, the ideas you come up with far surpass my own when it comes to DF
Loving your sense of humour in this episode, very good.
>Australia of the caves
So just Australia?
or Reverse Australia? Reverse reverse Australia?
love your videos, your channel always inspires me when i get bored and dont know what to do in DF
I approve of this underground Australia! Awesome 👍
Yay for another museum exhibit
What a wicked thing to do! Love it!
you should get a water area and mark some plants to gather so they can be self sustaining down there
I tried getting them to gather plants but they seemed focused on their impending doom

I think it would be cool to put a bunch of workshops down there and have them doing a bunch of forced labor.
Dwarven society, while industrious and impressive, is nonetheless not fair in any way lol.
Thanks for the video Hoodie!

Always a pleasure to watch your videos Hoodie!
you're so creative, it's really cool :)

That's horrible, Hoodie. At least give them raw plants and a well 😢
I love your videos!

I think you need existing cases to falsely accuse dwarves and I also think you can only trap enemies in cages with cage traps unfortunately

Nice video :) Question: If the dwarfes would be left in the cages, would they be save from attackers?
I think they would be safe from monsters but not dehydration
Wooden cages can be burned by fire breathing attackers. The cages won't be directly attacked, but pets or dwarves around them may be.

Do you have any idea how many squads I should send out to raze a goblin settlement of 75?
depends how well trained they are. If they are decently strong probably 2-3
Thank you hoodie hair

amazing
How in the world are you doing this stuff. Like how did you pick what the statue depicted. I’ve never seen that menu
There's a little magnifying glass icon in the 'make statue' orders. You can use to specify what statues depict.
