Thank you for the genetics discussion. It reactivated memory banks from college that haven't been used in a long time. It might be helpful to add the word "genetics" to the video title for future reference. I'm sure some of us will want to go back for a review.
Nice video Charles, still hope that you'll record in 4k again! 4K is a higher resolution than 720p (4K resolution offers four times the number of pixels as 720p, resulting in sharper, more detailed images and a clearer overall picture.) Adjust the Settings: Most devices have settings you can adjust to change the recording resolution. Here’s a basic guide: On a Smartphone: Open the camera app and go to the settings menu. Look for an option related to video quality or resolution. Select 4K from the available options. On a Camera: Access the menu and navigate to the video settings. Look for a resolution option and choose 4K. The menu might differ slightly based on the brand and model, so you might need to consult the manual. We will try to video each of the strains and species we raise. That may take a while. I'll look into posting a list of things we raise. That list is a bit smaller today than it was before the Texas Winter Storm. Charles
Yes. We do raise some New World cichlids but in pairs not large breeding colonies. I do think that it would adapt very well for mouthbrooding Geophagus species. Charles
I love your genetics discussions and really appreciate that you take the time to make these videos.
Thank you and thank you for watching our videos.
Charles
So happy we finally got the whiteboard demonstration you've been talking about doing! Can't wait for the next one
More to come.
Charles
You have some beautiful fish. Thanks for the lesson at the end, very interesting. It's nice to learn how you are able to produce amazing colors.
Thank you. This strain has complicated genetics but that makes it fun.
Charles
Outstanding video. I learned so much and all of the genetics I studied came right back to me.
Thank you. I try to be informative as well as entertaining. We'll be doing more whiteboard genetics in the future.

That's a good suggestion, and we'll do that.
Charles
That was fascinating and informative. Thank you Charles.
Thank you for watching. I hope to do more whiteboard genetics.
Charles
Charles once again an excellent video. You’re a very good explainer of these complex topics.
Thank you. I try.
Charles
You’re truly a master of your craft
Nice video!
Thank you. I have lots of experience and lots of mistakes along the way.
Charles
It's like you heard what I was thinking sir! I was wanting to comment on the last vid asking you do the whiteboard explainer. Thankyou!!
I plan on doing whiteboard explanations of our fishes' genetics frequently. I just need to get Susie to get me a better whiteboard!
Charles

I will pass this on to Susie and Carl. I just raise fish. If it breathes, bleeds, and breeds, I can do it. The other stuff, well...
Charles
Thank you, Charles. I am a visual learner, so I enjoyed and appreciated the white board being used 😊
I hope my amateurish drawing didn't detract from the presentation. Some things are easier to see that way than by words alone.
Charles
@@goliadfarms7029 Nope...it was great. You should see how amateurish my drawing is...OMG so sad 🤣🤣
@@audrameyer9558 I'm envious of those who can sketch fish that look real. I thought of drawing little fish but decided to not even try.
Charles
Thank you for the genetics lesson.
Thank you for watching it.
Charles
Love me some genetic lessons
More genetics coming!
Charles
Great explaination. thank you
Thank you. I'm always excited by the chance to explain what we are doing.
Charles
Will you be able to make a video showing all of the species you have? Appreciate your work!

They are beautiful fish
They are one of my many favorite peacock cichlids.
Charles
Sorry Charles thought I was texting a friend .Great ta hear from you though
No problem. All fish people are friends.
Charles
Hi charles!very informative and entertaining.1 question would this be applicable with other cichlid like south american cichlid?
Yes. We do raise some New World cichlids but in pairs not large breeding colonies. I do think that it would adapt very well for mouthbrooding Geophagus species.

I've counted 24 plus towels
Hmmm...must have been a low towel day.
Charles
@@goliadfarms7029 lol
@@paulneuman6021 I blame the Susie, Kate, and Skylar. They can't seem to tolerate any brow sweat.
Charles
Sorry Charles but even with my college education you lost me right after "We have. . . " All good looking fish but that very first male was Amazing!
I will try to get better at explaining genetics. He is a very nice fish.
Charles
Who ever is using the camera - should be looking through the camera. Please.
In defense of Susie, she is filming under difficult circumstances with sweat running into her eyes.
