Note to Suzie....Please don't stop Charles from sharing scientific information. I, for one, am very interested. Seems to me we all get talked to as if we couldn't understand or would just be interested in general/easy to digest information across so many platforms. Nice to hear someone who enjoys sharing his passion and does it in easy to follow segments.
I've been surprised at how well they do with cichlids in the breeding vats. They reproduce well enough that we have ceased tying up 55-gallon vats for breeders. We simply raise them with the cichlid breeders in 300-gallon vats. For each strain, we pick a few very large males and a bunch of large females as breeders. Charles
Thank you for watching. I'm working on a Purple Variatus, which is currently mostly in my imagination. But we set up 5 promising breeders. If we make progress on the strain, we'll video them. Charles
I also like livebearers. After breeding goldfish as a child, my next fish were Gambusia affinis (mosquitofish) and Poecilia latipinna (sailfin molly) that I collected from nearby Coleto Creek. We'll be doing more livebearer videos soon. Charles
Thank you. But as Susie would tell you, I don't get the reference to "Chefs kiss" since I burn water. I'm not allowed in the kitchen for any purpose other than doing the dishes. I am. however, an expert at loading a dishwasher. Charles

I agree! I love to hear Charles explain his processes.
We will be doing more whiteboard genetics, and soon we'll delve into Hardy-Weinberg equations.

Always been a big fan of swordtails 😁 such beautiful additions to a community tank

I really enjoyed this one. I keep variatus and learn from it. Thanks.

I will scream as loud as I can....I LOVE PLATTIES! I LOVE ALL THE LIVE BEARERS !!!
You all can keep the Africans, I love the American fish.

Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching. We hope to post two videos a week.
Charles
Awesome. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching. More on the way.
Charles
Appreciate the video, camera work was just fine.
Thank you. I'll pass that on the Susie.
Charles
Thanks! I really like variatus platys. If you ever do the video on Hardy-Weinberg I'll be one of the nerds watching.
I will do that using Xiphophorine hifin as an example.
Charles
These are beautiful. 💛🖤🐟
Thank you. I should have noted the size of fish. That grid in the background is one inch.
Charles
@goliadfarms7029 Wow. They do look big and healthy. That one male with the Yelliw dorsal and Red tail is a stud..
@@EddyOrtiz-579 I do like him too.
Charles
Agree, I need it dry and sciency
We'll do a Hardy-Weinberg genetics presentation soon. That will certainly be "dry and sciency"!
