Man, thanks for stating this. I needed it. You've described the situation im facing right now, an imposter syndrome. I kept thinking im not good enough since everyone seems to understand the lecture and I did not. Y1 CS currently.. really thank you!!
This hit really close to home :') Love the way you edited this video and thank you for sharing so vulnerably☺️ Also, CONGRATS BRO, you did it HAHAHA!! I knew this day would come and I'm super excited to see how much more you'll grow✨
I used to have imposter syndrome too until I earned my first deans' list. I think keeping your head busy and strive for continuous improvements eventually gets you settled in somehow.
Great video man! I like how you are occasionally taking time off the norm(college vlogs, cs and stuff), and talking about issues that us students face daily! Thank you dargo!
I agree.. i suffered imposter syndrome during my A levels , although I got 9As in my SPM (I'm from Malaysia btw) , i always compared my grade with my classmates that got 9 A+ or 10 A+, i cried every day because I felt that i was useless, stupid and not good enough. Eventually , i learnt that there will always be someone better than you, the only thing that you can do is to be a better person than yesterday. I'm still struggling with this, but now I focus on myself and not other people... :)
I remember when I had my PE1 I struggled pretty much throughout the whole duration. Next to me sat this dude who was making grunting noises throughout the whole paper. At the end of it this dude straightup came up to me and was like "that wasn't that hard right?" Bruh I almost flipped
ngl this vid came at the right time as im abt to start sem 2 of my first year in poly and aft looking back at my gpa and how average/mediocre my results were....this vid will sit with me as i try to improve in the future while reducing the amount of negative thoughts that i currently have. Thanks bro 😁
im 3 or 4 weeks behind in lectures for 2mods, and lets not go to cs.... best thing is i ghost the only few acquaintances i have in uni cos i cant answer their qns regarding hw lol
Ask them to ask the lecturer directly if you cant answer (you cant keep doing the mia thing , it will become a habit, you have to change and try to face it)
This hits close to home lol. I’m in an almost all-white University in the UK (Bristol) and I always get picked last in groups lmao. Aside from that a few of them seem really ‘smart’ and are doing amazingly well while I had to struggle with mental health issues in Y2 (during the pandemic) 🙃 I’m in my last year now and I’m just relieved I only have a few months left
"We aren't as stupid as we think we are".
You say that now but wait till you find out I accidentally brushed my teeth with soap
Jokes on you, I already factored in the fact that I showered in toothpaste
@@Dargoyaki we out here setting the bar low
this resonated with me a bit too much it’s concerning.. thank you for putting this out there :”)
all the best for your A Levels!
Jiayou for your A levels!

Spot on. Im also a nus comp kid second upper but im feeling so inferior everyday (for the past 3+ yrs) sigh.
think it kind of shows that no matter what level you're at most people think they should be better
Thanks a lot
Thanks man! This video helps me a lot.
Yo, your video came at the right spot. I just saw my results for my programming PE1 and I scored 0.
I scored 0 for pe before as well. I managed to piece my shit tgt n got B+. If I can do it, so can you!

Damn I love this motivational type video, very relatable and inspiring
nice video man
If you did not pick CS, which course would you have picked?
probably IS or Business

perhaps you should just be honest and tell them that you don't really know how to answer those questions :P
Actually it’s kinda the other way.. Many of my course mates asking qns meanwhile I’ve no qn to ask because idk wat to ask at that point of time LOL
Yes
So appt bruv 🥲🥲
"Year 1 was a tough"
Meanwhile, all the 3k 4k mods waiting to destroy cohort
All the y3s and y4s laughing/crying in pain 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
by y3 and y4 we have already conditioned ourselves to pain so it's easier to deal with it than experiencing it fresh 😌
sad dude
Hī
