The way I look at ghosting is: Did they really ghost you or did his girlfriend catch him? 😆😆😆 I tell myself that to feel better 😆😆
Do attachment styles change? I have always been an anxious attachment person, then I started to date someone who is secure, I still throw tantrums sometimes, but I know he will be there after the argument even when he says it's over, lol... N it's because overtime he has realized am a runner, he will get furious sometimes and then when he calms down he remembers my anxieties and helps me work on my feelings ( my me problem, like he calls it)... I love it that he takes the time to understand how am feeling at the moment. It's like am slowly calming down. It felt boring at first, now the connection is just everything!!!

Yes attachment styles do change especially when dating a secure person. That's why anxious and avoidant people are best paired with secure people because the experience steers you towards a secure attachment style.

I think it is worth noting that yes, the best partner for someone with anxious attachment is one with secure attachment. However, that does not mean that being in a relationship with that person will automatically heal you of your anxious attachment style or tendencies. It'll only provide an environment where you will thrive while you work on yourself, you always have to put in work to do better and do better.
So so well put. I think my ex provided that and I found healing in our relationship. I healed well enough to realize I deserved better than him. I hope he finds love that is good for his soul.

I believe that, most times, a person doesn't have the avoidant attachment style. They're just not feeling you the way you are feeling them or they have better options.
Dwelling on the attachment styles theory in such a scenario will leave you wounded and more insecure.
Also, the attachment styles theory is yet to be accurately proved. Therapists are using it on clients knowing very well that the theory doesn't apply to most modern relationship problems.
I'm not a therapist but I have had a fair share of problematic relationships. And my observations led me to believing that attachment styles aren't that real in adults. Maybe on children in relation to their bonds with parents.
Our generation is pretty traumatized to a point even a therapist wouldn't be able to help you figure your shit out.
Jules I aim to really study myself and become just as self aware as you are! This episode has been so informative. Lots to think about. You both did such a good job.
