It's interesting that these guys were contemporaries of the Monty Python crew and the two groups worked together with the likes of Marty Feldman in things like At Last The 1948 Show. You have to respect the hard working comedy acts of this period because they brought us something completely unique that has inspired many to come
There's a great book called "From Fringe to Flying Circus" by Roger Wilmut about that whole generation of British comedy; it's a great read for anyone interested in Python, Goodies, That Was the Week That Was, Cook & Moore, etc.
Had no idea the Goodies were released as complete set till seeing this post-- THANK YOU for mentioning it! I already have the 4 comp sets already available, but will buy for the eps I haven't seen in 45 years. Had no idea about Tim till just now also-- sigh............
Heaven just got alot funnier ! Was wondering who would be first celeb / human . And i only watched charlie and chocolate factory two nights ago . Would have said a prayer had I known but I'm sure he was surrounded in best way they could by those that knew him well .. I'm sure the goodies is why I've a twisted sense of humour I grew up on this. Rip Tim
The last time the goodies were seen on you tube with December 1992 Blame Ken livingstone, because he knocked the goodies repeats on you tube in a episode of question time in December 1992.
yeah thanks for the memories, bread vegemite butter after school and the Goodies.🤟
