You're ofcourse referring to when Jeremy Clarkson sketched a picture of Peter Bowles during one of the segments where they were all looking for inspiration
@@bennylloyd-willner9667 yes I think that was a pisstake on the fact they were looking for a representation of english class and that's what came to Jeremy's mind. He was in so many shows during the 70s and 80s he did come to personify the old fashioned english gent with the bowlers and pin stripe suits, covert coats, umbrellas and ofcourse the tash. Though in to the manor born it's interesting because he wasn't Anglican at all but of foreign stock. I was sad to learn of his passing in the past year or two, I'm Australian and I grew up in the 80s so he very much represented that stereotype we all thought of with England, ofcourse Leo Mckern was an Aussie too.
I'm binging on Rumpole at the moment, two a night minimum...utterly brilliant!!
Brilliant television.
Oh, to have Horace for a father! Wonderful!

Ahh! Peter "Top Gear influencer" Bowles.
A tash almost as famous as Nigel's in car nut circles😁
Bounced on my Rumpole’s rumpole for hours to this!
