I loved this! I'm a huge fan of flavor and the backstory to each of the block sets, so watching a four-headed Commander game with a full-on Weatherlight theme was pretty sweet! Disappointed Hanna went out first, tho. Probably my favorite character from that saga (and definitely favorite card of the four).
"We could tell you the story, but that would take hours, and we'd get a bunch of stuff wrong." So instead you'll play magic, take hours, and get a bunch of stuff wrong? :P
You guys should switch up the seating order. The current seating order leads to very 2-headed-giant-esque games with Justin and Jonathan vs Stephen and Wes.
maybe try an game with each of you having a Planeswalker that isn't allowed to be a commander as each commander. either each of your favorites or something to do with the story like this, maybe like ugin vd nico bolas vs sarkan unbroken vs tezzeret agent of bolas. idk just a suggestion. I'm assuming your next video will be origins flip walkers though, so maybe in the future give it a try!
Wesley Wise With Origins comming out this weekend, I'm sure you guys WILL play the new planeswalkers as your commanders (since they start as Legendary creatures anyway)
Commander vs should make a episode using hated commanders! Gaddock Teeg, skittles, Uril, etc. Mean commanders that are fun to play but not to play against.
Blind Seer (Urza) vs Mishra, Artificer Prodigy Muzzio, Visionary Architect vs Daretti, Scrap Savant Arcum Dagsson vs Feldon of the Third Path Bosh, Iron Golem vs Memnarch Zur the Enchanter vs Narset, Enlightened Master
I could see Suarez thinking about the Opalescence/Parallax Wave and decide against it for the sake of the camera (it makes the game very boring, once both are in place). But he could have had a more or less permanent lock on his last turn, exiling every creature. I can only assume he also had Parallax Tide in there, which he could have tutored for off Academy Rector. Good on him for not breaking the game. If he'd wanted to be mean, he easily could have won.
I think it is about time for you guys to do some Archenemy. It would be really interesting. Also, you can do a REAL planechase match (that one with april's fool doesn't count). Of course, both of these things using commander decks.
Just a quick question for anyone who could answer this. What happened to David McDarby and, I believe his name was "Danny West"? (I'm not hating on anyone in the video. Just a genuine question) Because I think I only saw a couple of Commander Vs. matches between David and Stephen, if any. I was hoping we would could see a game between them. *From what I heard, David left SCG, or something like that.
Carlos Polk www.starcitygames.com/article/30995_Life-Totals.html This happened to Danny West. David McDarby left SCG and moved to Seattle because he didn't know what he wanted to do with his life.
actually Gerrard could catch a punch thrown at him from Tahngarth. Gerrard was genetically engineered by Urza. he is a demi meta thran. ref invasion trilogy.
supposed to be a "fun" commander game and of course, as usual Justin ad Johnathan show up with the most min/max'd try hard decks they could possibly craft out of cards in the theme.
They have and it was splendid. The April Fool's Day episode with Squee, Sliver Queen, Commander Grevin Il Vec, and some blue general. United sets, planechase, and vanguard. I highly recommend it.
You guys should do a Commander vs series based on the Ravnica guilds and their champions. tappedout.net/mtg-decks/06-07-15-above-the-law/ I checked this out and it was a pretty good idea.
Wes, you're so bad. Have you never played against Aura Shards before? Why do you keep playing artifacts and enchantments when Justin can just make tokens with Freyalise and destroy them. At least hold onto them until you kill Freyalise.

yall should do a theme where you each use one of the five prateor from new phrexia
love me some old Dominarian stories. Gotta say I'm biased and am rooting for my all-time favorite Magic character, Hanna.
Join the Commander VS crew as they relive the Weatherlight saga in this week's 4-Player Commander VS video!
***** I think it would be cool to do a game where there are no banned cards.
***** YES PURE ANARCHY, LETS DO THIS :D
+Star City Games Stephen Green sounds just like the news anchor Shephard Smith. ijs
Yes, I finally get my 4-player commander fix! Love these videos, please keep them up :D
You guys should switch up the seating order. The current seating order leads to very 2-headed-giant-esque games with Justin and Jonathan vs Stephen and Wes.
I'd love you guys forever if Riku of Two Reflections or Skithiryx The Blight Dragon ever make an appearance as commanders in this series
maybe try an game with each of you having a Planeswalker that isn't allowed to be a commander as each commander. either each of your favorites or something to do with the story like this, maybe like ugin vd nico bolas vs sarkan unbroken vs tezzeret agent of bolas. idk just a suggestion. Maybe after it they will try and do that one that one seems like a bunch of fun
john carmichael I really like that idea! Keep the good ideas coming!
Wesley Wise With Origins comming out this weekend, I'm sure you guys WILL play the new planeswalkers as your commanders (since they start as Legendary creatures anyway)
Man, this takes me back!
I really like the different themes you guys are doing with the 4p series.
While we all miss McDarby and West, this new stuff is fun.
Read the rulings on Skyship Weatherlight. It exiles the cards face up.
Sisay is my favorite commander.
In a Two player video you should ashling the pilgrim vs ashling the extinguisher.
Do 5 star god battle, all 5 original gods and their weapons available in the command zone.
Sub Zero I'd like to say it was my own idea but I saw the idea somewhere but I can't remember to give credit.
Commander vs should make a episode using hated commanders! Gaddock Teeg, skittles, Uril, etc. Mean commanders that are fun to play but not to play against.
this video could use a Jumbo Imp
Every video could use a jumbo imp.
Every game could use a jumbo imp and a cheaty face
Blind Seer (Urza) vs Mishra, Artificer Prodigy
Muzzio, Visionary Architect vs Daretti, Scrap Savant
Arcum Dagsson vs Feldon of the Third Path
Bosh, Iron Golem vs Memnarch
Zur the Enchanter vs Narset, Enlightened Master
A game of Archenemy would be amazing!!
Does Stephen ever remember his Oath of Druids? :(
No
You guys should make a video to show how competitive edh can be
when does the next 4-player commander video come out if anyone knows?
you guys should use the the legendary creatures from origins as commanders
I'm just going to throw this out there I think it would be interesting to have humans and angels vs zombies and demons
Hanna's so good! My favorite general!
I could see Suarez thinking about the Opalescence/Parallax Wave and decide against it for the sake of the camera (it makes the game very boring, once both are in place).

Brightstone Ritual (the goblin ritual)
missed opportunity to have Archenemy of the weatherlight crew vs. Tsabo.
I think it is about time for you guys to do some Archenemy. It would be really interesting. Also, you can do a REAL planechase match (that one with april's fool doesn't count). Of course, both of these things using commander decks.
Doesn't the vineyard work on both mainphases

Carlos Polk David moved to Seattle to get a job with Wizards. :)
Carlos Polk please bring back David and Danny. I loved watching their videos.
this game was probably one of the funniest games ever
why have they not done commander arch enemy yet with suarez as the archenemy
Manakin- "It makes mana" "I might put clothes on it, put it in the window" lmao Stephen
actually Gerrard could catch a punch thrown at him from Tahngarth. Gerrard was genetically engineered by Urza. he is a demi meta thran. ref invasion trilogy.
Where is urza?!?!? Where is the blind seer deck?!?!?!?
AWESOME GAME#!
supposed to be a "fun" commander game and of course, as usual Justin ad Johnathan show up with the most min/max'd try hard decks they could possibly craft out of cards in the theme.
Am I the only one that hates these themes and just wants to see what these commanders can do with fully functional decks?
SCG please fix the sound. The echo makes it hard to watch this video.
So Wes missed the echo cost on crater Hellion
No, he pays it. Even says "echo" when he taps his lands.
He didn't pay it on his turn at 2:04:00 ish
He pays it at 1:58:20.
Gregory Smith You only have to pay Echo the turn after it comes into play.
Gerard doesn't get played.. but Tsabo does?
They should have done commander archenemy. That would've made sense
Te one who playa te monored Minotaur Is ay severe disadvantage
i think dwnen would be good in parnell's deck
Do an Un-set themed commander battle! All of you use a ton of cards from Unglued and/or Unhinged!
They have and it was splendid. The April Fool's Day episode with Squee, Sliver Queen, Commander Grevin Il Vec, and some blue general. United sets, planechase, and vanguard. I highly recommend it.
Haha! Thanks, I just watched it! It was amazing!
justin lost due to skyship weatherlight, rules state all cards removed from the game are face up unless stated otherwise.
You guys should do a Commander vs series based on the Ravnica guilds and their champions. tappedout.net/mtg-decks/06-07-15-above-the-law/ I checked this out and it was a pretty good idea.
This series would be better if the bottom half of the table could assess threats
You guys should do tribal wars next. But don't do something like elves or goblins because you have already done those. Do something out of the box.
@ 1:11:35 Jonathan cheats. He doesn't discard a card to Anvil of Bogardan
What's up with Stephen's voice? So much echo
Finally
Like, comment, share, subscribe, binge
Do archenemy please
justin win all games, all need atack justin:d
Anyone else absolutely hate rhystic study?
Wes, you're so bad. Have you never played against Aura Shards before? Why do you keep playing artifacts and enchantments when Justin can just make tokens with Freyalise and destroy them. At least hold onto them until you kill Freyalise.
Well to be fair name one way to Destroy Enchantment in Ratodos
You won’t reply because can’t think of a way
1 hour in & already hate Hanna - i just wouldn't play against it, 0 fun to be had
Doesn't the vineyard work on both mainphases
