Thanks for bringing on Balt. One of my favorite streamers that always seemed to go overlooked for these shows.
Thats why you make sure to pass priority to each player because if you have a response to avacyn and a board wipe its to check last call if anybody has interaction to responds then. It helps everyone organize whats going on in the match but i understand its casual and for fun. But i just need to know before i fully commit personally

16:30 In a high-powered commander game, a Serra ult isn't a be-all-end-all, as it is possible for the control to die to life loss, commander damage, "lose the game" effects, infect, mill, various board wipes, etc. I'm terrified of the idea of running a Worship-esque effect in EDH, as you can still get low from damage, then get randomly drained; although, that's simply my take on it.
36:40 The unprotected Avacyn-into omni-boardwipe is quite common, as such, it is quite entertaining to punish =) Props to Cobalt for accepting that backfire so well.
I'm excited to watch the Giada deck, especially since I got the angel secret lair that has her in it
I also bought that deck even though I already have a Kalemne Boros Angel deck. This one though has cards my other one doesn't but I may just flip cards that are shared between the decks to have the fancy new versions in my Kalemne (particuarly "corrupted" Bruna and Gisela plus the Commander's Plate.)
Also bought it, couldn't pass up the value 😅. Plus I want it to be a surprise at the next dinner table match. Hopefully the angels will be slaying some goblins.
I didn't know of Travis before this and LOVE what he's doing and highly appreciate this channel for telling me about him

Zur's ability to drop an aura, doesn't make the aura target as it wasn't cast. Probably not relevant, but it's a good thing to keep in mind while going around hexproof. (I think?) Great game everyone popped off!
Yes, it does indeed get around hexproof, shroud, ward, etc. Think of the idea of putting an aura on the battlefield in a similar matter as "choose" rather than "target."
Less like "Choose your own adventure", and more like "Choose the form of your destructor" 🤣

Kudos to Eilidh for the win in such a back and forth game! What a comeback after being board wiped by Hour then having her dargons exiled by Angel of Finality. Loved Olivia's lockdown with Privileged Position/Greater Auramancy (I use Sterling Grove bc of the built in search, which I'm sure Olivia has in her deck as well). Great game, great guests, enjoyed every minute. Looking forward to next week's game! Love from Hawaii ❤

Im not sure it would've changed too much? But I believe Eilidh shouldn't have been able to crack the Scalding Tarn cause Cobalt had Angel of Jubilation on the battlefield. 🤔

That archivist of oghma really did work that game. I'm rebuilding Giada and that list seems very similar to how I've got mine constructed at the moment. Although I think everyone pretty much runs Giada the same way.

So I have a Kalemne Boros Angel deck, and I love the combo of board wipe plus big Avacyn, have done it multiple times.
I can't remember if I showed Olivia the deck or not at Vegas 30 last Halloween either at the Crimson Vow party or when she autographed my wedding Olivia at the convention.

Sorry, but I don't like the idea to rollback everything because the guy did a misplay. It's not Cobalt's fault, but Travis's fault, the games continue and Olivia scoops up. I know that's a casual game, but it's important to respect the prioritization rules during a game. If you lost your chance to answer a spell on the stack, goodbye!
Yeah completely agree , a misplay is a misplay, if you could rollback everything, then you could be 100 % optimal everytime... doesn't make much sense.

I think this is the first time I've had something like that actually affect the viewing experience. The rest of the game just felt kinda icky, especially since Eilidh was the one suggesting that they roll it back because she wanted to cast that huge Majestic Genesis. I hope Cobalt was genuinely okay with it and not peer-pressured into it, because then everyone playing still had fun which is the most important thing at the end of the day. But still, not a good viewing experience IMO.
I was expecting something egregious after reading these comments before watching, he was clearly fine with it. It seemed like he had just treated it as two separate games because he had clearly won so there was no harm in rolling back a turn to see how it would have played out if he had responded properly

that angel cobalt just played didn't kept people from sacrificing things and paying life? wouldn't make the fetch land and treasures unusable? around 24:00
also Eili's planeswalker would make her impossible to attack with the + ability, as people can't pay life

11:25 It’s not weird, it’s the basic colorless spirit from Kamigawa, none of them fly. They’re the same ones as the channel ability of Sokenzan or the triggered abilities of several of the shrines.

Wish Eilidh targeted the Angels with the Scourge of Valkas damage triggers, as they would have died instantly due to being Illusions (Dismiss into dream). Great game!
Well that wasn't much of a surprise. At least Ur Dragon got cast and majestic genesis ended up being crazy good.

As long as you guys had fun that's the most important thing, but rolling back on that Deadly Rollick made the rest of the game feel really gross to watch, especially since Eilidh was the one pushing for it pretty hard and prompty followed it up with a huge Majestic Genesis...
18 minutes in: Smothering Tithe and Esper Sentinel on the board at the same time with nobody paying, I bet this won't be a problem!
If you like that majestic from the ur dragon deck, then I would suggest looking at last March of the ents which does the same thing but can’t be countered.

That’s kinda disappointing to see a misplay get walked back well after it should have happened when someone was clearly in a position to close the game from a viewer stand point but I understand if all parties were cool with it.
Why didn’t Travis cast deadly rollick in response to hour of devastation? He could’ve got rid of Avacyn and Cobalts board would have lost indestructible for a full board wipe.

Im alittle confused. So if Travis cast that deadly rollick in Cobalt's combabt step he wouldve already lost the mana he floated from the treasure tokens.(i just didnt see him tap mana for the rollick) I guess since they rolled it back to responding to the board wipe its ok though? Since he wouldve still had the mana in Cobalts m1 phase. Lol. I dont think it made a difference just an observation.
