Definitely give Jenny Lewis a listen, she was originally a child actress. She is right up there with Neko Case in my opinion and she has a 70’s alt country feel. This album sounds great.

Just ordered that elemental Supremes title from you. Can't wait. It is a mono mix reissue. Everybody knows Motown in Mono is where its at during the classic 60's period. Thank you for getting these in because I couldn't order them directly from Elemental, something about only being available in UK. Also ordered that Ellington Indigos, waited for it to come back in print. I am going to compare it to my original six eye Columbia which is in pretty good shape, I bought it used locally awhile back. Thank you for your store. You are on my list of trusted shops outside of the stores I have available to me in Detroit. Love the way you ship and package my items. I'm not crazy about the Hooker album just because there isn't much to the words; just a great deal of repetition on each track. I love the Taj Mahal, Lightnin' Hopkins, Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters etc. By the way...do you know what happened with the Impex Kenny Dorham Matador albums? I was lucky to buy a promo copy from you but I was hoping to get just a play copy. What happened with this? Thanks for always keeping us up on great music!

It does but the depth of field here is too deep. It makes me a little dizzy. I like the effect, but it needs to be half as deep.
Elton has more reissues in August which includes Made In England first official release on vinyl.
His worse regarded album is usually Victim of Love - didn't write or play on any of the tracks - only did the vocals.

I dont care much for the sales pitching but the new announcements part is always very handy!
What is the part you would consider a sales pitch?
Sales pitching.... such as advertising of auctions and the products you sell along with talking about and hyping them up. Not a critisism more of an observation! I expect i am not mistaken that the selling of said records (and other bits) is how you make a living and more power to you. We know alot of collectors are rabid and chomping at the bit for your wares, as they allude to in the comments. There are many addicts waiting to spend and the fomo is strong in them. It is what it is!
And yet its all good, havinf watched much of your content to date i meant no offence but i just meant that i purely prefer the notifications of whats coming which is handy. And the comparison videos of different pressings! It was nice to find we share the same feeling towards the Breakfast in America versions for example.

You set "21 at 33" to the side. I think it's a very underrated album. Easy listening pop songs.

Hey Mike, curious about the re-cut of that Impex Ellington. I assume the KPG cut was AAA, but wonder if they let the tapes out for the recut? The conventional wisdom being Sony don’t do that anymore…Or maybe Ellington tapes aren’t as precious as the Miles catalogue?
The blur released by Impex is that both were cut from the same tape.

Those Elton John reissues of arguably his worst albums of the 80s are a rip off at 30 dollars. Sorry. I love EJ - but it is what it is. 30 bucks for single LP reissues of those turkeys? Shameless. Yeah, there’s some gems here and there on those but even EJ & Taupin have publicly denounced most of those albums.

I can't imagine paying $60 for a 45rpm pressing of Ted Nugent lol...good album- Stranglehold maybe one of the best rock songs ever- but an original pressing can be found quite easily in the bins for a few bucks.

So Disappointed with Leroy Vinnegar Album. The bass is so non-existent in the mix its ridiculous. The other instruments sound amazing. Ill probably never get another Bernie Grudman mastering.
