Hello I am a person that at one point have not watched 911 I started watching when season 5 aired and I'm finished waiting for season 6 episode 3 I got into the show thinking buck and Eddie was a thing and when I was like on season 4 had to Google if they were going to be thing And the amount of sadness that overwhelmed me because I thought they were actually a thing and watching the show thinking they were going to be a thing So I can confirm that just seeing scenes of them made me think they were a couple
Oh the Magicians thing was the only time I've felt personally hurt and attacked by a show (I only watched like the first half of Supernatural, fyi). I actually broke down like what the actual fuck? It was ALSO really upsetting in terms of mental health depiction. Like, having Quentin who has openly struggled with suicidal thoughts and ideation from the VERY beginning of the show sacrifice himself and then say he's not sure if he committed suicide??? What the hell? Why? How could...WHY???!! Also...why was he back with Alice all of a sudden? Like, that was just baffling to me because that ship had long since sailed and gone down in toxic flames!
I watched teen wolf for the forst time a couple months ago and can confirm, sterek is not that much of a thing, Spn on the other hand (watched it after it ended and with little online influence) was INSANE with the destiel bait Honestly without fandom influence a lot of ships Are just ships and thats cool
I've been watching supergirl since the beginning and never realized kara and lena. Somewhere between season 3 or 4 i heard supercorp but it didn't make sense and i didn't feel like there is a real tension. Then season 5 started and i was shocked. Because that tension was on fire. Constantly feeling like there is an elephant in the room when the scene is about kara and lena or mentioning one another. That made me think. That amount of closeness and tension wouldn't look normal for people who are just friends. After season 5 i rewatched the show and if you look at from a perspective "what if lena is another love interest", that looked like a looong slow burn. So now I'm a supercorp. But i admit that while some people just enjoy the ship and demand this ship to become canon, some people try to get attention of others to show how some scenes are quite parallel to other hero's love interest stories or how some scene are hinting the romantic tension and while some people overanalyze things have no real importance in series. But some of them just go crazy for these things. Well, because of overanalyzing people in the fandom. Supercorp is received as toxic fandom which is sad. This made us looked bad and probably killed the potential of this ship to be canon.
Not all SC shippers are bad. I think most are decent people. Just the bad ones are really bad. I get that when you ship something and the bad part is the loudest, or the bad ones are the only ones people point out...I say that like I didn't include a bad example of an SC interaction I had in the video.

No, I'm not salty about one of my comic OTPs not happening in the adaptation, what are you talking about?" YES, thank you! I love Karadox and really thought that they had good chemistry and could have built them up in season 4 with the combination of them training Nia together and already having worked well at the DEO (and Brainy cried over her in episode 4) and also with the mind-wipe situation, he was one of the only people who knew she was Supergirl so they could've been brought closer together that way too. But apparently they needed to have Brainy basically say "fuck the timeline" and get together with someone who kissed him without his consent while he was having a panic attack, is constantly overwhelmed by him, has called him dumb a few times, and most of the time looked unhappy when they were together. I get wanting to have a trans character in a healthy relationship with someone who loves them for who they are, but this is really not it. And it kind of sends the message that someone who isn't stereotypically masculine/"CW Hot" can't be with the lead character just for that reason, which makes them look kind of shallow. Oh well, at least there are fanfics. (also if Brainy had appeared in season 2 instead of Mon-El, with the same general storyline and of course him treating Kara with respect and not being a slave owner, I think people would've liked that a lot more.)
Nia/Brainy is mostly fine, it's just carried more by the chemistry of the actors than the writing itself. Kissing during a panic attack is a weirdly common trope in TV and needs to stop. I wish they hadn't shoved either into a romance so fast. Especially because it got weird with how quickly they became the most important person in each other's life. It didn't make sense. Finally, someone brings up Karas love interests just all looking like that. Like, they're all 6ft tall guys who are of pretty sizeable build. (I guess Mon-El is a little less bodybuilder but still) It feels like they're trying over compensate Kara being physically stronger by having her with a guy who looks bigger than her. Just let her be with Brainy! He's sweet and has things in common with her! Why is that so hard to put in a romance! I know for a fact that there's a fic where Brainy is in Mon-El's place. I don't remember what it was called but it's out there.
