@@JChris143 still B button..when you are charging the attack you will not be able to basic attack so B button is still for canceling while charging..
I still don’t know which buttons are R and zR. Mix them up all the time.

@@truant2827 Uh we PS4 users don’t have that issue because it is super easy to know which button is which L1 (left 1) L2 (left 2) R1 (right 1) R2 (right 2) see not that hard
I prefer move aim snaps to targets on, as you can still control where they go with your right stick if/when you need to, the important thing is to hold down til you're sure your aiming properly.
Especially if you're using something like Pikachu's Electro Ball cause it has a radius circle with how far you can target and a cone of what you're targeting. Having the game auto find a body to hit is great since it's more of a finishing move since it does more damage the lower the hp of the target

For auto hits good, for dashes, can be bad. Especially if you want to use a dash or leap to reposition or flee.

This is going to help so much! Way too often when I'm about to kill someone their teammate shows up and I start targeting them instead then I get pinned down and killed instead

In the middle of killing an enemy, use Brave Bird, auto targets a Corphish. Extremely annoying.

SO TRUE, like I use spark on zeraora to escape sticky situation where I have low hp and need to retreat, and instead of the spark going where I want it to go to, it ends up going to a wild pokemon or brings me closer to what I am trying to escape like bruh.

A nice one for me is swapping the R and ZR binds. It’s feels unintuitive that by default the move for ZR is displayed over the one R. While on the controller R is above ZR. Switching the just feels more intuitive kinda like how binding scroll wheel up to zoom in feels much better than zoom out

I always find it interesting how a lot of people play without vibration. It's a MUST for me personally in ANY game.

for me, vibrations tense me up making my hands super stiff for further inputs. If I want to play seriosuly I turn Vibrations off
Well batteries werent a luxury for me so i had vibration off

Just so you know. IF you have it in Docked you get 60 FPS and Undock it will only max to 30 FPS

I'm love using Ninetails and Zeraora. They're both my type of play style I would say. I'm gonna have to check into the settings and do theses cuz I havnt messed with any of them.
Have fun with zora while you can I’m almost certain on the first balancing patch his whole kit will be hit with a hefty nerf hammer. As he stands atm volt tackle into ult into discharge does way to much damage. Hell even just r->rt is to much damage compared to 90% of the other mons. Don’t get me wrong I love playing mindless with him as well but he’s actually just unbalanced right now
@@TheDave25s I get you and your prolly right with them nerfing him in the future. he's good now I personally just like using him bcuz He's one of my actual top favorite pokemon besides Greninja. I can't wait to get him as well.

Hey, thanks a lot for the guide. I was struggling with some controls and now I realize it was because of the settings. One question I have is that I didn’t realize Crustle was a reward for completing the Beginner challenge and I liked him so much that I purchased him. What will happen when I unlock him in the challenge if I already have him?
You get a refund in aesos coins. :) if you paid for example 6,000 for a pokemon and then acquire it for free. You get that ammount back.
You always get the refund in coins. If ppl pay for the unite license in gems, you get the coins price as a refund.
@@zephyrias can you please tell me where you learn this since I learn if you buy and item and it ends up being one you get for free you don't get your money or tickets back but some of the upgrade materials
@@sixsam154 it was told thru the pokemon unite subreddit discord. Mind you the asos coins refund was only for pokemon licenses not items. Not sure on items, I do not recall what I received when I had a dupe shell bell.

Interesting setups. I tried a match with them all done, but it was a little much to adapt to all at once while still learning the game. So I think I'll do it bit by bit, changing things as I get used to them.
I will use the target wheel when it doesn't take up a third of my screen or gets a transparency option. Is mostly distracting.
Does anyone know how the ping drednaw or Zapdos in this game because I've seen people do it and I can't seem to find that setting
Thx for posting. I was getting sick an tired of missing ko's cause my pkmn randomly decided they wanted to move towards and attack the combee chasing me instead of finishing off an opponent i was chasing down smh.
Not sure about the press button for scoring cause i feel there are times when you have a full bag and it takes a good 3 to 4 sexonds to score , there are times when you need to flee if you see 3 dudes baring down on you and you need to get the hell away lol.
Whoa, that zL and zR moves is so useful. Always hated having them on R & zR. Why didn’t I think of this?
This is the first time I'm early to watch this!
I've found it can actually be advantageous to play in handheld mode, because you can actually use the touchscreen to tap on the minimap, then as soon as you let go it locks back to your character again. It's the fastest way to move your camera around, really good for LoL players who are used to clicking on the minimap or using F keys constantly to flick between team mates and see what's happening while you're just moving around or farming. Only problem with it is that I hate the joy-cons when they're in handheld mode and get pain in my thumbs because of the positioning of the sticks.

There's a few targeting options that are suboptimal imo. You can use the right stick to Volt Switch away from enemy pokemon, and you can hold attack buttons to aim regardless of whether it snaps, so it's better to start snapped and aim from there since it's generally closer to your intended target location
Yes but it can still auto move your aim even after you’ve manually moved it. I think you’d want the most control possible
On the off-chance that you literally meant to spam A or B for attacking, you can actually just hold down the button once you're in range, you don't have to rapidly tap the button. I feel like you might already know that, but I also saw you rapidly tapping the button in a different video, so I thought I might as well offer that bit of advice.
With that out of the way, this was a pretty informative video. There are a few settings I differ on, since I feel the 'best' control setup for a player is the one that they feel comfortable with, but even with that said this does help a lot 👍
This is true, but the hold method has a slower time between attacks then spam pressing. For some reason the hold has a slight delay of no input after an auto so the character comes to a rest for longer. Difference is minimal but useful for speedsters in the midlane/jungle first clear much faster

Move aim follows movement direction is a lifesaver I main absol and I have pursuited into many an enemy trying to get away
I havent turned my switch on in over a year i completely forgot every button on the controller lol but loving the game so far

The Advanced controls messed me up more than helped. I find that with regular controls I can just spam A and still hit enemy pokemon instead of wild ones.
Yea but sometimes you want to hit the wild Pokemon instead of the enemy pokemon.
You have to get used to it. There’s a longer learning curve for some of these settings, but they will definitely help you out in the long run. If you’re just gonna play the game casually, using the default settings is fine.

i started playin today ,idk why i waited to long ,ive noticed some ppl start killin ppl like crazy when the match is startin,that what made me look for settings and stuff to see what im not doin right
NOTICE: “Press Button” for goal scoring is still very stingy on what counts as a “press,” you still have to hold it down for it to register but you can let go while it winds up
Also, Edit, max camera sensitivity isn’t that bad when you TAP the joystick. God help you if you hold it down because your screen can and will fly from your spawn to where Rotom shows up in like 1.5 seconds. Also, don’t try to move it back and forth without resetting, there is no god if you do that

Nah, don't stress it! There's a lot of people who won't even be able to play until it comes out for Mobile, so in that regard, you've got a headstart!
Yeah just play it on your own pace. As long Es you don't wanna be one of the best players in your country, just play and keep the fun.

I moved my moves to the two separate sides as well. The one on top of the other was just not it.
The wheel isn't as good if you want full control during a fight. Sone Times you'll be aming one of your skills and it will also move the wheel making you cancel your skill and start attacking the enemy. But this is coming from a zera main witch uses his kit for both movement and offense. Idk what mon would benefit but movement based ones prob don't.

I mean you have 2 fingers free on each hand for each shoulder button with the default controls you can unite move middle finger and map control index finger
