      Save your upgrade coins! Once you pick your main that you want to climb with, then upgrade the ones that are important to that Pokémon. Coins are extremely limited for F2P and I’m assuming most people on mobile aren’t planning on spending tons of cash.

      TIP: Playing with a team is easier to get to master than solo. Especially if you can chat with them and they respond. Especially if they have dota experience. Solo with randoms will be like crawling up a mountain while carrying 4 players every match. Solo, You will win a few but fall down ranks a lot.

    One important thing, Teeds. If your team has Blissey or Wiigglytuff, its safe to take the Dreadnaw before Zapdos. Blissey can clean the stats with Safeguard and Wigglytuff can clean it with its unite move.

    Another tip I have is to us your minimap to call out/ping things you need to know. If Drednaw spawned, open up the minimap and press Drednaw’s icon, it will tell your team ‘Let’s defeat Drednaw together’ (or if you press its respawn timer it will say ‘Check it Out!’).
    If you tap somewhere you want you team to go, tap there, and if there is nothing that you tapped on, it will say ‘Gather Here!’
    If you just defeated Zapdos and scored many more points and you’re sure you scored more than your opponents, open up the minimap and press one of your team’s goal zones, it will tell your team to Defend your goal zones.
    Given the lack of communication options and tutorials, you should know how to call out things to your team to ensure they can hear what you’re saying. These are just some examples, but you can try out more things in the Practice area (such as an allies/opponents, enemy goals, etc.)

    Huge emphasis on the "never steal the Jungler's (centre) farms!
    Stealing from a Jungler can cost you the game bc the centre is most critical at the beginning and end of a match.

  • @ConnorKrohnicles
    @ConnorKrohnicles 2 роки тому +10

    I think saving your unite for Zapdos is important, but it is also important to not be afraid to use it. I’ve often seen my teammates not use their unite move at all until Zapdos, while the opponents use theirs 2 or 3 times before zap, making us lose objectives or teamfights.

    What about a beginner's guide specifically for combat? That's what i'm struggling with so far as a newer MOBA player as I find it too easy to get ganged up on on chased. Maybe like dynamics, melee attackers vs ranged ones, or when to retreat and when to keep fighting.

    • @koizata

      @@Jhit123 I agree! This is all based on the pokemon you use! Learning your limits of attacking and surving. The other basic stuff is more common sense like do not go in when you are alone. Do not try to just score for the heck of it. Be more aware of your map of jungle rotated wether or not you can contest. Do they have ult already does your team have ult already.

    • @AresGod0fWar
      @AresGod0fWar 2 роки тому +10

      Hello again. :) Jhit has already made some good points. I have a few things to add.
      1.) Read all of the abilities for your character. Even the first two you unlock. Part of getting better at battle is figuring out the best abilities to take for each situation, and understanding what they actually do.
      Combat example: Cinderace gets most of his damage from auto attacks. His passive gives him an empowered auto after casting an ability. In the beginning he gets ember and the sliding attack. So if you just press both abilities right away without auto attacking, you’re essentially wasting damage.
      2.) It takes time to learn what everyone does, but you should also know what the enemies you’re facing can do, and at what ranges you’re vulnerable to an attack. Go into the practice area and try out the Pokémon’s move set that’s giving you trouble.
      Me in League of Legends when I first started:
      Friend: Watch out for Amumu. He’s going to try to gank you.
      Me: what the heck is an Amumu?
      Announcer: An ally has been slain. FIRST BLOOD!
      Team: Surrender at 20
      Point, You’ll either learn or it will keep happening. It’s a process.
      3.) Some Pokémon have specific combos to maximize their damage. Learn them. Talonflame for example: Brave bird>Aerial Ace>Enhanced Auto>Aerial Ace. He is a melee attacker with an emphasis on burst damage. After he lands that combo the Pokémon need to be dead(or almost). If you miss Brave Bird you’re screwed. It will be your initiation tool most of the time, and your escape if you survive. It can go over walls making it harder for your enemies to catch you, and giving you better angles to approach. He’s best at catching enemies by surprise, and will usually focus down the squishy(low hp pool) Pokémon before they can respond.
      4.) Assess the situation, and pay attention to your cooldowns. Here’s some thoughts from a match that I played. I was playing Snorlax and landed a juicy Heavy Slam. Afterwards I followed up with 3 attacks slowing them on the 3rd auto. I blocked out the enemy, but made sure to also get the Absol so he couldn’t jump on my carry. This whole time I’m looking at my team, my HP, my ability timers, to plan my next move. If I’m too low on HP I can use my Unite move to stall the fight, if we’re winning and I’m not going to die I can use my Heavy Slam again to keep the engagement going/protect team. Heavy Slam can be used to escape as well, but it has long start up. Use the eject button for to get out of sticky situations or secure an important kill.
      5.) As a ranged attacker you can harass your enemy from a fairly safe distance. The circle that pops up around you represents how close you have to be for your basic attack to come out. Try to play around this distance as much as possible. Poke your enemy down with ranged attacks and when they’re low enough go aggressive.
      If you haven’t already looked up recommended settings, I suggest you do so. The default is not good.
      Good luck. You just have to put the time in. It will take time so don’t get discouraged if you don’t figure out the right decision every time.

      Something no one has mentioned yet, but it's pretty critical and separates master players from everyone else (look up the finals tournament match to see what I'm talking about). As a general rule, you should NEVER be fighting anyone unless it's a team fight over an objective or push toward the enemy tower after securing an objective. If there are no objectives up, you should be farming and only farming.

    • @henry2168
      @henry2168 2 роки тому +2

      simplest thing to do is, use practice mode to get a handle on your moves.
      Then just don't chase, going off alone is the surest way to get taken out.

    Perfect guide! I'd only add my personal experience as a jungler to usually go bottom after initial farm to help dominate that lane and set up a better Dreadnaw.
    I only rotate top if the top lane is REALLY struggling ;-)

  • @henry2168
    @henry2168 2 роки тому +4

    great vid as always, can you do a vid on recommened settings next, I'm sure that will be a nice companion to this one.
    Like the lockon menu is really useful, but can mess you up sometimes by making you follow enemies when you're trying to run or aim.
    The only critic I have is, who should get the exp first depends on who's on lane, sometimes the defender is more important.
    By that only comes from playing a lot of different characters and knowing their level up.
    and power spikes like you mentioned.

    Wonderful guide, Teeds!
    One thing I would add is the "praise/good job" feature at the end screen. You can give any player of both teams a good job if they performed well in your eyes. The number on the far right will indicate how many people gave the player a "good job". This not only boosts confidence and shows your appreciation (which support types don't get enough of, sadly) it can also lead to friend requests right after - which helps you play the game with players you enjoyed being around! I got all of my friend requests from mutual likes (even from enemy teams) and know that inviting anyone from my list will result in fewer frustrating rounds. I keep reading on reddit that people don't know about this and figured if you mentioned it, this might help a bit to >unite< the player base....I will see myself out xD

    One important thing is observing the enemy when battling. He ist about to use an unite-move? Position yourself to not get hit (especially when it's a cramorant). The enemy used his eject Button? Remember it's in cooldown, you can escape easier or Chase him down easier. The enemy failed an important move (especially Gengar Sludge bomb)? Punish it, until the cooldown resets he's pretty weak.
    And don't push too far and get yourself killed for nothing 😅

    About Unite Moves. You can recharge it faster when you're farming Pokémon. It's always recommended to stay near the territory, defend and farm wild Pokemon in 3 minutes to recharge your Unite Moves as fast as possible

    Videos like this are what I need. I'm still....less than good at this game despite being in Veteran rank.
    That being said, been trying different Battle Items besides Eject Button.
    Since I use Slowbro, Venusaur, Garchomp, and Gardevoir. Is the Fluffy Tail a good Item choice or should I be focusing elsewhere?

      For those characters imo eject button is best. I'm in masters and use eject on everything that isn't a speedster that can just dash away quick instead

    You can set up your jungle clear to end in whichever lane you want no matter what, it's just a matter of having a plan for grass (ludicolo top) and sand (ludicolo bottom) to end in the lane you want. If you get grass and want top, go ludicolo, bouffalant, bottom corphish, top corphish. If you get grass and want bottom, go ludicolo, corphish, bouffalant, corphish. If you get sand and want top, go ludicolo, corphish, bouffalant, corphish. If you get sand and want bottom, go ludicolo, bouffalant, upper corphish, lower corphish. I try to end my clears in bottom lane most of the time, since I have score shield and view my role as starving their bot lane/strengthening mine, while helping wear down goal durability, but I'll go top if we already have strong bottom laners, and top has gible or ralts so I can zone the enemy team and let them take the bees/more farm.

    If I may ask could you also do a video on charizard and maybe some ways to show like what items to run on him and possibly max his output damage as a all-rounder? And what is your thought on him as a jungler

    I usually dont attack zapdos when he spawn i will continue score their goal while the Opposing team attach zapdos

    Fun fact ..... At pokemon unite first beta .. Zapdos use to be like a ally .. when you defeat it .. it use to come with you from the center and if not defeated in time he use to score in the spawn enemy goal with 100 points .. but they changed it cause it was too much for an already losing team

    Number 2 doesn't apply when for example, someone is scoring or the whole team is taking Zap but you're not there, sometimes just being too focused on farming can make your team lose. Remember that farming isn't always the way to win, sure being overleveled by one or two is fine, but make sure to not neglect important things and keep farming.

    Another beginner tip for those going in ranked is that the current best pokemon are Blastoise, Lucario, and Wigglytuff while most of the Speedsters do not do well at a higher rank.

    Sadly calling our roles rarely works, people just ignore it and we end up in difficult positions, that's why i recently transfered to zeraora so i can both lane and jungle, just in case
