Thank you to Connor Ross for correcting an error of mine! Eldacar is the grandon, not son, of Rómendacil II. Rómendacil II's son Valacar married a woman of Rhovanion, and thus produced Eldacar, who, being of mixed blood (Middle-men and Westernesse), reclaimed the throne of Gondor from Castamir the Usurper. Sorry about that mix up, my mistake! Hopefully, I will not have to amend any other mistakes in this video, but if I do, I will add it to this comment. Thanks!

Joseph Bartsch fair enough. (I do want to know more about the plague though. Seems like it’s not talked about much. Then again, well, maybe I don’t read as much Tolkien as I should, and if I did, maybe I would know...)
Joseph Bartsch I’ve got a lot of Tolkien’s books, even though I’ve never read them, maybe it’s gone into greater detail in one of them. (Update: I’ve just looked into their tables of contents, doesn’t show up there either.)
Great video as usual. I think that it is likely that Black Númenoreans not only fought at the Dagorlad and Siege of Barad Dûr during the War of the Last Alliance, but also (together with the Nine) would likely have been commanders of the other "wicked men" present such as the Easterlings of Rhûn. The Black Númenoreans were corrupted by and loyal to Sauron whereas the Easterlings fell to darkness under the sway of Morgoth and were loyal to him. Given that the Easterlings joined Morgoth under a cloud of betrayal in the First Age, they had proven themselves untrustworthy. I suspect that Sauron would have had much more faith in the loyalty and power of his Black Númenoreans than to allow the Easterlings to be led by their own commanders.
The Easterlings from the first age are not the same ones from the third age! And it is speculated that Khamul the Nazgul was a king of the Easterlings which is why they follow him and Sauron.
I have at times thought of Black Numenoreans possibly being sprinkled through the ranks of orcs trained as officers to lead the orcs and keep their nature for mayhem in line. Don't know how feasible though. the Mouth's existence is part of what gave me that thought

I thought that Gandalf slew the Mouth of Sauron when he showed him Frodos Coat and Mithril Shirt at the Black Gate. But I could be rembering it wrong, been a while since I read it.
It's a bit annoying how little we know of them really, we basically know they are descendants of the kings men who were on in coastal settlements in Middle Earth when the majority of the Numenoreans went over to Valinor and got promptly stomped by Eru Iluvatar. But at this point, they would have probably looked exactly the same as the Faithfull Numenoreans too. We know they had fallen into darkness long before even that event though, but it's a bit difficult to believe they all continued to follow Sauron after what was done to Numenor. Especially if they know a large host of the Faithful had come to Middle Earth too. It would be interesting to know if Sauron really did manage to keep them loyal, because my guess is, a great many of them probably revolted and i would imagine they had some sort of internal civil war among themselves. Which is why by the time of the War Of The Rings, we only see a handful of them and they are not even human anymore, having been twisted into wraiths and whatever the Mouth of Sauron was. I'm guessing that many of them were wiped out by civil unrest and probably killed in attempts to turn away from the dark. Ultimately, these people were of the Edain, it's kinda hard to believe they all just blindly continued to follow Sauron.
Since we know or assume most of the Nazgul were once Númenóreans it is possible these immortal wraiths had living kin, albeit continually distant, throughout the time of their servitude to the Sauron and the One Ring.
When you showed the Mouth of Sauron, I shock in fear...Because oh Boy, he is creepy!!! The kings of Gondor pretty much screwed themselves over by marrying Middle Men the castamere Rebellion pretty much force them in a position where they were forced to intermingle with Middleman because they we're in the tumultuous territory of slaughtering the other descendants of numenor to the point where there were none left to rekindle the long life span and mystical bloodline
The lifespan wasn't strictly connected to the bloodline, Eldacar lived for 235 years, as long as at least two Gondorian kings before him. It was more about virtue, a blessing that was connected to upholding the legacy of Numenor. It's fair to assume that if the men of Gondor had stayed true to their heritage no amount of mixing with Middle Men would've diminished their lifespan.

That was great man, thankyou
¡Siiii por fin! Muchas gracias, uno de los grandes enigmas de Tierra Media.
I thought that Gandalf slew the Mouth of Sauron when he showed him Frodos Coat and Mithril Shirt at the Black Gate. But I could be rembering it wrong, been a while since I read it.
We know Aragorn beheaded The Mouth in the extended edition of ROTK. Not sure about the books though.
I've been waiting a long time for this video!
This is great, thank you for a new video!!! I rarely comment but the númenóreans* are just great

Great video!

I always wondered who the Easterlings were descended from. Thank you Yoistan.👍👍
I never imagined the Mouth of Sauron would be allied with a cat lady.
how is that even remotely surprising?
Netflix be like: "I know exactly what to do with this"
Turn them black? That is something Netflix would do but these are bad guys..Netflix would never make the villains black.
Even Middle-earth has a crazy cat lady!
5:20 the helmets of the guys on the left look like Dagoth ur
Feel like I just watched this whole thing from History of Middle Earth. I guess it's hard to not make the same videos without new material.
I guess Amazon casted Black Numenoreans..like literally..
