@Dave Kana My words. No "Hey guys how it's going" and "I wanted to do this video for a long time" and blah blah blah which makes video of lenght of 7-9 minutes to be 34 minutes long... How I hate that man. Some of us just don't have time for that nonsense.
Damn good video! This video is for the side with the longer driveshaft. The driveshaft 30mm nut, strut pinch bolt, drop link bolts and lower ball joint (3 bolts and nut plate) SHOULD all be replace with new VW genuine bolts/nuts. The torque sequence for the driveshaft nut is complex but VW spec.
a whole lot of needless parts removal going on here.,Loosen the top nut, pull the wheel, pull tubing loose, remove the stabilizer,, remove thru-bolt strut tube into steering knuckle, drop knuckle, finish removing the top nut, pull strut out...reverse to install.
I believe your comments are based on the side with the short drive shaft. I'm looking at removing the struts on a Bora TDI and on the longer drive shaft side, the driveshaft itself is impeded by the subframe to allow the hub to drop low enough for the strut bottom to come out of the hub. Hence the video shows the driveshaft/bottom ball being removed.
@@johnchurchill3933 if you do all this shit you will need an alignment after. Bend the metal that's in the way of the driveshaft with a hammer a few mil, or compress the spring and shock a little bit to get it out
Thanks, no BS, just the How To, thanks, Dave.

Once the coil has been decompressed, is there a specific amount the new coil should be re-compressed again?
Unfortunately, it's hard to say anything, we recommend contacting the service.
