This came out my senior year of high school and I instantly became obsessed, grabbed every album my local shop had… and then later became my gateway into all the great 90s music I missed as a kid ⚡️ favorite band forever
It was the intro drumming on Turn up the Sun that got me listening to Oasis again. I hadn't listened to them for years due to them going commercial in the mid 1990s. The last album is also good. I think this is how Noel wanted Oasis to be like
Zak Starkey is on drums...in late 90s Rachel Hill took me to see The Who at Shoreline Ampitheater, in SF/Bay Area...I thought it was going to be pensioners going through the oldies--it blew me away. Better than anything. ...and Ringo Starr's son joined OASIS. Saw this tour in Tokyo, three times at Yoyogi Taikukan in Shibuya....the album is perfect. The sound and the band was at its harmonious.
For people who dont like this album, clearly just want oasis to keep making the same songs they had been doing for thwir first 3 albums. The fact is dont believe the truth & Dig out your soul were oasis's biggest selling albums since Be Here Now. It has some of the best songs written by noel in years, has 2 of the best songs liam ever wrote. Was also both top 20 albums in America. The dont believe the truth tour sold 3.2 million tickets. Lyla, The importance of being idle, part of the queue, let their be love, Turn up the sun were all great songs. Some people dont like it because itvdisnt have "The oasis sound" and probably think standing on the ahoulder of giants is a great album.
Definitely a class album that has a great Rock n Roll vibe with some great additions from the rest of the band. Loved this tour also as most of the tracks turn up the sun Lyla keep the dream alive & importance of being idle were all brilliant live. ✌️👍✌️
such a shame the only had zac starky for such a short time. He sounds mega on the album and live on tour. Shame they couldnt keep him as he works for the who. Im sure Chris Sharrack will be on drums for the reunion but zac would be great.
@@ThomasWilliams89 After hearing that song I thought Oasis were finshed and didn't buy the album. Many years later, I gave it a go and realised it was mostly good actually, bought it but deleted that song immediately 😅
If you still want to compare Oasis to The Beatles, then this album would be their Rubber Soul. And also ties in with it's the coolest both The Beatles and Oasis ever looked from a fashion sense.
say what you like about the gallaghers but how cool to let reasonably new band members contribute songs to an album. Not as egotistical as they come across .
Great album but too many Liam tracks (they are mid) and Liam shoulda been on vox on Part of the Queue. Oh, and Lord Don't Slow me Down shoulda been on it too (with Liam on vox)
I absolutely concur with Noel he sounds AMAZING on The Importance fr fr
its crazy that this is nearly 20 years ago. Time absolutely flies by.
yep.. scary isnt it!
I’m here 1 day after they announced their comeback, keep it up lads!!
Loved this album

Never seen this before! Great seeing the band being interviewed together
This album was my Definitely Maybe

GEM!!! is so under-rated. love this band and they are back, when this came out, life was great. young and care-free. great times

without a doubt the best drummer oasis ever had, shame he was only on loan from the who. Oasis and zac sounded mega live.
an absolute masterpiece.

My favourite album post def maybe, stunner! Happy at 45 years old to see them live again!

Mi banda favorita de todos los tiempos forever!!!
fantastic album
3rd favourite album of theirs behind Def Maybe and WTSMG ✌️ roll on 2025!
The last two albums were superb
Just said this, I always thought it was a shame they split when they did as they were hitting a great stride.
@@TheChadTI Who did you just say it to?
Heathen Chemistry was better than either of the last 2
"it's fucking wrong because it leads to shoplifting"🤣🤣🤣
Liams face 😆
incredible banging album. sounds amazing on the beach too.
I loved this CD !!! thought it was their best !!!!
Come on. Mucky Fingers is one of their worst ever songs for a start
This album by far their best post the Definitely Maybe and WTSMG one two punch
Heathen Chemistry
for some reason Liam saying Love Like A Bomb is like looking at Julie Christie makes total sense to me
such a shame the only had zac starky for such a short time. He sounds mega on the album and live on tour. Shame they couldnt keep him as he works for the who. Im sure Chris Sharrack will be on drums for the reunion but zac would be great.
Boy this interview really shows how estranged the Gallagher brothers are. Barely acknowledging each other.
let there be love is a top 3 Oasis song
Other than Part of the Queue, it's a fantastic record.
Finally managed to follow Morning Glory on this album...
no chance.
Heathen Chemistry is better. It doesn't have a truly awful song like Mucky Fingers on it
@@TerribleEnglish "you got ya mucky fingers burned!"

@@TerribleEnglish I think it is just a steady, average album. Nothing special on it.
Second best album Oasis made
If you still want to compare Oasis to The Beatles, then this album would be their Rubber Soul. And also ties in with it's the coolest both The Beatles and Oasis ever looked from a fashion sense.
there best work since morning glory and noel’s comments on it and sales back up that claim.

Love this - some nice retro tunes on this one. The velvet underground thing is a step too far for my taste but oh well
Noel swears f more than usual 😮
Great album but too many Liam tracks (they are mid) and Liam shoulda been on vox on Part of the Queue. Oh, and Lord Don't Slow me Down shoulda been on it too (with Liam on vox)
Turn up the sun is brilliant
less than half are noel tunes - its more beady eye and it shows
Worst tour and worst album for me......
Both were fuckin mega
I think "Dig out your soul" is the worst.
@robertooliveira4668 alot of oasis fans feel that way. Personally I'm a big fan out it
Are you shittin me?those albums are great maybe dont believe the truth is a little bit better than the second one.
Heathen chemistry is by far the weakest album.
Amazing album and tour Milton Keynes with 65000 it was incredible
