Agreed. I’d never listened to him being interviewed before. Like Ian Brown, I think Noel’s real / himself. Both have held on to their mental health well as a result....not being superstars. Incredible musicians. I lean heavily towards Mr Brown as an other worldly person. He’s a seer.
This is a true example of a classic album which you can just press play & let it roll till the end. Absolutely amazing songwriting from Noel. Great timeless music. Then you just press repeat and listen to it again & again. ✌️👍✌️
Its funny you should say that-I spent two years in my racing simulator racing F1 cars to about 30 world championships listening to this music. Im waiting for the next time I feel that good for that long. Driving music? Not half mate!!!👍
I'm only 5yrs late listening to NGHFB ! I really have missed out.....amazing !!!!! I was too busy starting a family in the 90's and I didn't want to get spat on by a certain lead singer in a certain band to understand and appreciate the genius of mr Noel Gallagher...... Thank god I have finally found you and your music.
@TheGooners11 It's obvious Liam & Noel are both the problem. The can't treat each other right, it's like their is no respectful boundaries between them. Liam gets along with Dave Grohl or Bonehead, because that respect boundary is still up. Noel gets along with his current bandmates, walks the streets with them having a laugh, for that same reason. But put the two brothers together, and the argument is coming. Then you have the creative struggle, Noel wants to explore music and Liam wants to stay the same. That adds even more problems. Also, Liam is rumored to have public arguments with his girlfriend and with his brother Paul(if that one is true). Liam is cool with having that dramatic life, Noel doesn't seem to enjoy that stress anymore. Yes I agree it was wrong for Sara to mock Liam... but cmon, after the hundred times Liam mocked her husband, he had some shit coming. I do believe if Liam would just ENCOURAGE Noel's happiness and stop the wisecracks, they'd soon be on speaking terms. At worst, Noel might pick on Liam and that would show his true colors. But Liam, he can't let it go, but I admit he has been doing better lately.
@@TheBiologyking and you, it's exactly how I write, you don't sit down and go "I'm gonna do this and that" and all that. I just pick up my guitar and hope for something to happen!
his 2 albums will always be on the top of my playlist, im sure they will be classics when they run there course with out a doubt. just hope he keeps banging out the tunes. Legend.
The studio where Noel is standing on the stairs while discussing Stop the Clocks is the same studio Brian Wilson and the Wrecking Crew recorded parts of Pet Sounds. My two favorite me, one incredible studio in an amazing city. I loved watching this, thank you for bringing it here.
Even Liam said it in a podcast I heard today where there's versions of four songs on the album, Everybody's on the run included, where HE sings them and knows for a fact Noel was thinking about going solo and kept them for himself.
I love the fact that Noel listened to Dave Sardy and recorded the drum tracks as it shows even though he is a very successful songwriter and recording artist he is grounded and he even states that he was wrong and Dave Sardy was right
If you get Faster than the speed of light he put most of the album demos in album order. It's a CD with the live DVD. Dream on is my favourite because the Chorus is "Dream on, that blonde birds mingin! There's not a lot to see!"... he changed it by the master but it still always makes me giggle.
You know how he made the follow up Chasing Yesterday? He ate nothing but kale for a week then went to the loo and dropped a deuce, recorded the sound of it plopping and splashing.
What a man. Such a cool guy, I have tons of respect for what he's done. Shame they didn't mention 'A simple game of genius' in the film, cause that's one of my favourites off this album.
I'm trying to put an album together and it's just me and a guitar. Noel is an inspiration. Who knows might tell him that to his face one day. Thanks Noel.
@fondoogle - both thumbs enthusiastically up. Of all the music I've loved over the years, I can honestly say that the man that inspired me to learn to play the guitar was in fact, NG.
10:00 I don’t think noel should put himself down like that, he may not be the best guitarist in the world but honestly who cares? he’s good at what he does he is a good enough guitar player and he’s taught me a lot with my guitar learning experience he’s my personal favourite guitar player ever, sometimes guitar is not just about how fast can I go or shredding it’s about making good music and being as accurate as possible noel Gallagher makes real good music
Noel Gallagher: 'my wife rang, she calls me, I'm like fuck wow, I'm like fucking, you're making a baby, I'm making an album. I'm like wow. How do you get your ears around that'. LMFAO.
I'm pretty sure that the acoustic song that Noel is playing at 1.25 is The Dying Of The Light (It Makes Me Wanna Cry), an amazing song that sadly wasn't released on this album. If you've never heard it please check it out, its one of the greatest songs Noel's ever wrote.
👍...for those who don't know: you'll find it on "Chasing Yesterday" plus some other "greatest Songs Noel ever wrote" among other things here called Bonustracks...
this was such an amazing vid I'm glad I downloaded the alb off iTunes and got both versions of the Japanese edition and American edition, I just never got alone on the rope :/ since it was a Amazon only track
Music industry needs more Noel Gallagher's. Honest, talented, unpolished, not manufactured record company rubbish.
Devin Townsend... If don't know where to begin, search Synchestra, listen in order. For songs spreading all career, seach Live at Tuska Festival
How about now.. 2019 dog shite
Mean I'm nowhere near his level, but feel free to check out my music
Agreed. I’d never listened to him being interviewed before. Like Ian Brown, I think Noel’s real / himself.

I love this record
It's a perfect driving album.
Its funny you should say that-I spent two years in my racing simulator racing F1 cars to about 30 world championships listening to this music. Im waiting for the next time I feel that good for that long. Driving music? Not half mate!!!👍
I love Noel, besides is musical gift, he is so honest and real. He cheers me up when I watch interviews with him!!!! LOVE You Noel
+Ellen Cox in a nutshell
he's a geeza
Ditto)
Yep. I can watch hours of his interviews.
Love ya to 😉

Most underrated musician ever
@TheGooners11 not overrated but not underrated either.
@TheGooners11 It's obvious Liam & Noel are both the problem. The can't treat each other right, it's like their is no respectful boundaries between them. @TheGooners11 Meg was encouraging his excessive lifestyle hanging out with celebs taking drugs etc though
@@underdawg2743 no, he was doing that for ages, he just wasn't caught
TheGooners11 how do you know them? Are you related? To speak about how they are as people you must know them otherwise your not well
The only album I listened to for weeks and weeks and weeks when it came out, love every song, not one bad tune.
Likewise
Holy shit he's such an evolved, complex, humbled and talented guy. Kids; this is who you should hope to be one day,
He's a fine man 💙
Well I'll never be the songwriter he is, but I hope to be like him and it would be great if you checked my music!
Wouldn't say he's Humble lol
Noel Gallagher is my ultimate hero. Love and admire this guy so much
I'm definitely a straight male but i'd marry noel if he asked me
lol
@@blink0r who wouldn’t
One of the best albums of all time and probably the best one he's ever made
Along with Chasing Yesterday and Council Skies.
Legend. Got to meet him in person and what a true honest gentleman he is.
Really?! It must have been awesome
he is my idol
gives me inspiration and hope
and I am sure he does the same to millions
Thanks Noel
Your Focking Awesome!
This is a rare look into Noel, and he is showing his vulnerable side, so good.
Fking love this documentary and the album, think some of his best work.
What he says at 10:00 is getting written down and stuck on my wall.
That gives me hope for my music, which I'm planning to restart in a few months.
Tell me how it goes mate
Yoda on DMT when I heard him say that I just thought 'you fuckin liar' 😂
Well do us a favour and listen to my stuff?
@@TheBiologyking and you, it's exactly how I write, you don't sit down and go "I'm gonna do this and that" and all that. I just pick up my guitar and hope for something to happen!
How it going?
I came to this late, as you can see. What a guy, just basic and honest about his talents. I am loving catching up with his music.
his 2 albums will always be on the top of my playlist, im sure they will be classics when they run there course with out a doubt. just hope he keeps banging out the tunes. Legend.
You're right-both those albums are total classics in every way ✌🏽
A one-of-a-kind songwriter who has a very unique talent for writing brilliant songs.
14:19 [Noel says that Dave Sardy told him] "We've got to redo those drums".
14:22 [Dave Sardy] "It wasn't really about the drums."
Yep, because there was nothing actually *wrong* with the drums on a technical level, it was about the performance and how it affected the whole
1. The drum sound
2. The performance
Two different things.
'Hope is when desire gets confused with probability' - Schoppenhauer
Noel is something special love how he talks about music .
Love how they kept driving during Aka What A Life because that is my ultimate driving song
Noel's voice and perception for the arrangement of the songs is just amazing
love this man. this album is pure beauty its awesome
I knew Noel was making a solo album from the first day he was in the studio. I never told a soul.
I could listen to him speaking about music and song writing all day.
Love the fact that at around 16 to 20 minutes what a fan of music Noel is, at this moment he is the same as the rest of us
Vastly underrated despite his massive success.
Even Liam said it in a podcast I heard today where there's versions of four songs on the album, Everybody's on the run included, where HE sings them and knows for a fact Noel was thinking about going solo and kept them for himself.
1:45 fast forward 6 years noel hahaha
Noel is an underrated singer...would love to hear him sing every song he wrote in Oasis days
Me too!
What a craftsman. Real, awesome, inspiring.
i love videos like this, where you can see what you're idols do behind the scenes.
Brilliant insight to Mr Gallagher's way of putting an album together.Nice upload.Really enjoyed it.Thanks for putting it up ;)
"It may just be another album!" Haha Its a fuckin belter!!
this album is a masterpiece!
24:17 I feel so fucking silly
Do the Damage in 2012... Fuck sakes
i was dying to know what it was. finally!!!
I know!!!
Can't quite agree with you really. I enjoy it :)
Winged Hussar Could you explain your point please?
bit of a pointless comment then?
"you're making a baby and I'm making an album. Wow. Get your head round that!"
This record is amazing. Pure inspiration.
25:56
"It's not a horn, it's a combination between Noel singing and a horn"
Yes I knew it I know Noel's voice when I hear it
Still doesn't come close to any of the shit Syd Barrett ever did
Queen did that on the Night at the Opera album,
This is exactly why I fucking love him.
The Mexican at 27:55!
i love all Noel`s work from Oasis, to his solo career, but, even my music teacher said that the song "if i had a gun" is a masterpiece
Wow! How he’s changed! 😩
Yeah and not in a good way.... 🥺
yeah how dare he want to write different sounding albums. Took oasis 5 albums to finally change from the same oasis sound.
been covered before they are written
Fucking Godlike Genius who gives some sense to my boring life...Gotta love the man.
mmgdqd
I love the fact that Noel listened to Dave Sardy and recorded the drum tracks as it shows even though he is a very successful songwriter and recording artist he is grounded and he even states that he was wrong and Dave Sardy was right
One of the greatest albums ever as far as Im concerned. Total fucking genius. 💖💋✌🏽
Give me stripy pants and I'm back in the 60's 😂😂😂
Transcendence. Getting from one place to another.
for some reason i found the bit in the house for the choir a lot funnier than it probably is
Probably the best Noel Gallagher record in solo or in a band, just after '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?'
love, love this album!! I want to get it on vinyl!
This album is the soundtrack of my life. I want it played from front to back at my funeral.
"I call it mouth trumpet -- Dave calls it goat calling." LOL This was very enjoyable and interesting. Thanks for posting!!!
They don't call him The Chief for no reason.
This album is really something, one of my favourites of all time! Noel is real genius! :)
Dying of the light at 5:39 class. Can't wait. He's got em all stored up in his locker!
Right, doesn't he..? Do The Damage at 24:16 too.
Watching him in Bangkok on the 20th of September. What a night that's gonna be.Wooooooooooo
What a good dude noel Gallagher
Your not great in anything Noel but at the end you are perfect
He's perfectly. ..unperfect
This documentary is awesome Noel your are legend
His best work to that date.
The solo at the end is EPIC!
Adore Noel!!!!
thank you - thank you so much for posting this
If you get Faster than the speed of light he put most of the album demos in album order. It's a CD with the live DVD. Dream on is my favourite because the Chorus is "Dream on, that blonde birds mingin! There's not a lot to see!"... he changed it by the master but it still always makes me giggle.
Faster Than the Speed of Light is a Steppenwolf track from the 1960s
He's my main influence singing-wise
You can hear early versions/demos of;
Do The Damage - 24:06
The Dying Of The Light - (can’t find it, know it’s in here somewhere)
The Mexican - 27:51
Great hearing. It is the Mexican intro
Joe thanks a lot, I know Noel when I hear him 😂
It’s at 1:30
I love Oasis Liam and Noel and i love them both separatly they are one of a kind .
They both deserve everything they work for .❤❤❤❤❤☺
I KNOW RIGHT!!! I hope he gets at least an hour and a half to play. I'm scared he'll get cut being a co-headlining tour.
You know how he made the follow up Chasing Yesterday? He ate nothing but kale for a week then went to the loo and dropped a deuce, recorded the sound of it plopping and splashing.
How am I going to do something new with this.
Well Noel ,you won't, you haven't, and you never will...

The "If I Had a Gun" MV reminds me of the opening for Ergo Proxy.
genius guy, songwritter and all you want!
only seen him play one of those before at the Maine Road gig.

Interesting video. With the snippets of songs, it sounds like the same song done over and over.
Brilliant documentary,,,well worth a watch for any noel or oasis fan. enough said.
Definitely is my favourite because no pressure bro
Sorry but this has to be one of the greatest records ever! No bullshit! His last two are just as good also
I hope Chasing Yesterday is as good as the first one. It's so much to live up to
He's coming to Calgary on October 21'st!!!
Fuck yes, finally.
