This week Mike shares many panel side auto racks with loads. Joshua and Austin share photos of their layouts with the updated progress on each. we look at the ABR Model Works freight car/locomotive shop building. Ken talks about upcoming projects and photo shoots for the hobby industry. That and more in 34 minutes.
R.I.P. Stripe, an iconic kitty right up there with Chessie.
Another great show. Thank you as always. My wife just came down to the train room and said it was good to hear the guys talking. She was referring to the fact I always have your show on when I am working away. Always appreciated.
Nice to see Austin again. Can't wait to see how he does scenery. Mike Budde's racks are amazing. Joshua is a national treasure for sure. Great group. Oh yes - Ken also... :)
Bernard at Miniprints is a good man! We went on a layout and railfan tour near his shop this past fall. Good fellowship and great modeling talk too.
In the UK a company called ModelU works the same way as Miniprints. They also now produce HO Scale North American figures.
Mike might be interested in our UK car carrying rolling stock. In the 1960's-1970's they did a service called MotoRail where people could load their own cars onto a train and save fuel and car if they wanted to travel long distances.
GREAT TO SEE AUSTIN ON THE SHOW
Good job everyone! The auto racks look great Mike and the cars really top them off. Until next week take care you all. Scottie
Great Show thanks guys .😊😊😊👍👍
Those early era auto racks present an opportunity for a manufacturer. Rapido comes to mind. Just quirky enough for them to be interested in, but with a huge potential market. Hello, Rapido.
High Five, Ken!
Thank you for another brilliant What's Neat This Week in Model Railroading
Welcome back Austin Allard! I just love it when Mike brings his projects to the round table! I would like to see Ken's n- scale layout sometime! This is "The Best Hobby In The World" Till Next Time! MoPac Jack "Stay Safe & As Always. Keep It On The Rails" "No One Can Ever Have Enough Trains" "Rest In Peace Stripe"
Modelu is the company here in the UK that scans people at shows then prints them out to a very high resolution in whichever scale you want. They now also do HO scale American outline figures. I haves used quite a few of their figures and they now do animals aswell.
A little late, but I really enjoy the new opening montage!
Nice show, once again Mike shows us how he is the benchmark for auto industry modelling …
Thank you, Greg!
Great show as always! Those building kits look great. Guess I'm not the only one that has builders block. 🤣 it seems I'm doing everything else besides working on the layout.
THANK YOU FOR GREAT IDEAI IN SHOW
I do Southern railway from books and historical sites in SC and NC.
condolences on the loss of your cat.
The PRR streamlined steamer was a Pacific 4-6-2 not a Hudson. Great show !
Thanks to Mike for showing still some of his "jewellery"
Thank you, Federico!
Rock and roll! Sorry to hear about Stripe.
So sorry for the loss of Stripe. Stripe was a part of WNTW family.
Another great show. Sorry to hear about the show mascot. Always tough to lose a pet.
Lol yes I like the juice ha ha Mary Christmas 🎄
Mike, Did you custom paint some of your Lincoln's ? They look sharp !
Yes, they are all painted….these are resin castings of a 3D print from “Madaboutcars”, Jens Jahn on Shapeways. They are actually 1976 models.
@@mikebudde2570 Great work ! Thanks
Sorry to hear about the kitty.
I take the Southern auto racks. Where did you find those Southern railway auto racks?
I made them myself from photographs I took over the years.
Are those Lincoln Mark 4 cars on board? Where did you get them?
Hi, Kurt! They were all resin cast from a 3D print from “Madaboutcars” on Shapeways. Casting your own vehicles in resin is the cheapest way to load your auto racks.
“;-)” Awsum!!!!!!!!!!!🚂👍
