Hopefully we won't see more "shot in the foot" situations that you release some great set (like InGen) and then block other markets (hello from Europe) from releasing translated sets and even blocking English reprints due to some IP issues. This rises speculation on prices and block many of us from getting those sets.
I'll queue up any day of the week for a translated Ingen vs Raptors! Europe really got the worst of the deal when it comes to Unmatched ip sets :( I'm personally fluent in English but it's really hard for everyone to bring an untranslated game to the table.
Map pack sounds fun but it would be REALLY fun if there was a character with it still. Maybe some type of mythical explorer or traveller. I’m sure there’s a market for just buying maps but to me it sounds like a fun way to throw in characters that they can’t find room for anywhere else too!
I am all for more characters any way you can sneak a couple in here or there would be great. Plus, putting a character in there would solve another problem. Those single character releases they have done have felt too expensive for being just one character, having a few maps and a character would alleviate that anguish of thinking you're paying too much for just one thing.
The map idea is super. I have thought about it myself. I even have a crazy idea (that will never ever happen for many reasons): what if Game of Thrones set- a huge 8-player map with 8 factions (Targaryen, Stark, Martell, Lannister, Tyrell, Baratheon, Grayjoy, White walkers), plus later add more character sets from like Starks (Rob, Ned, Arya maybe), Lannisters (Cersei who has 7 health but her companion is Mountain with 20 health and her abilities would be something like she could pass on damage to Mountain; Tywin; Jamie), Targaryen (as of right now House of Dragon is going on, so many members can be added), Baratheon (the whole idea of having Robert vs Stannis vs Renly) and more. Or let's get even crazier: GoT vs LoTR.
They said in Dice Tower’s Twitch chat that there will be a Gamefound for a storage solution. Really excited about that, but worried it won’t accommodate decks in Dragon Shield sleeves and they’ll have to think about what to do with the upcoming big characters such as T-Rex. You mentioned you use deckboxes in a large box with everything. I also recently discovered that empty Dragon Shield sleeve boxes just about perfectly fit a character (sleeved cards and all, but sometimes you need to remove the colored base on the miniature or else there will be a little bulge in the box). You can fit 12 one of the Unmatched 4-character boxes and the lid only raises up a few mm. So I have one box with 12 of those used boxes and another 4-character box with all the maps and rulebooks along with a few additional character sets. Not perfect but being able to store everything from two 4-character sets, three 2-character sets, and a standalone character in two boxes is pretty nice.
One idea that came to mind was scenario or event missions, so perhaps you need to complete a certain task like collect an amount of a certain item while a wave of enemies keeps trying to stop you. I’m sure there are plenty of ideas you could do with this idea.
1. Combat is great. However, there should be other possible goals such as finding an artifact or magical item and escaping with it or escaping from a prison or dungeon. This obviously could also involve fighting. 2. Power up items could be scattered across the board similar to how they appear in video games. Perhaps Ernest from a Jim Verney movie gets powers from an electrical socket. Maybe Popeye gets stronger from finding spinach. (Just off the top of my head.) 3. Characters I'd like to see are Carrie White from the Stephen King movie, Anthony Freemont from the Twilight Zone, Don Quixote, Lara Croft and Indiana Jones. Maybe even Jesse James (either historical or from the Twilight Zone).
Would love to see a map expansion that Included bridges/portals. These would be used to connect existing boards to other boards for bigger maps that can cater to bigger battles like cobble and fog vs battle of legend vol 2
This would be a cool idea. I would expect restoration games to sometime in the future make bigger boards since there has been a call for them for a while from the public.
I said this elsewhere but I want a tmnt themed set. 4 turtles vs shredder, bebop, rocksteady and krang or Baxter stockman. make a giant set of 8, or 2 sets w/ turtles in one and villians in another or do 4 1v1 sets. 1 turtle 1 villian. a girl can dream.
A box that holds everything conflicts with wanting a constant release of new fighters. What is your ideal size (number of fighters and maps) for a big box? I don’t think I could (or would want to) lug around something with more than ~40 fighters and 6 maps.
Preferably I want something with attachable compartments that you can add on as more fighters get added. Then people could choose how they want to proceed with it for what they want.
COOP mode on the way. Storage Solution on the way. Announced a lot of new character boxes for 2023 and 2024. So you will get a few of the things you want. But Definitely more differend modes of play, maps and scenarios would be nice. 1 player adventure mode would be nice. (That would be campaign perhaps?) 5 player Free for all Deathmatch would be interesting as well. Maybe a 3 vs 3 "moba" style mode.
I'd like to see a character - maybe like the Crites from the movie Critters (deep cut I know) that has no dial. Instead it's just a series of 8 1-wound characters (four start on the board) and they are defeated if they ever have no pieces on the board. Obviously then they would have cards that grow their numbers and add pieces back to the board.
@@TheBoardMeeting It's basically a movie about porcupines from outer space that eat everything and grow to monstrous size if left to their own devices. It's the B-movie cousin to Gremlins but it's enjoyable, silly fun.
I agree that I would like to see a lot of this, but several of these are really difficult to pull off logistically. Other than more new characters (which everyone wants), I think the thing most of us want the most is the big storage solution, but the problem is "how?" Do you tailor the storage to specific characters? If so, it won't fit each individual player's collections. It also runs into the problem of the game outgrowing it's storage every time a new set is released. So then do you have generic storage? Then you run into problems of minis, cards, cardboard, etc getting banged up by generic storage solutions that don't hold all the components just right, as you mentioned you experience with using deck boxes. I'm hopeful the folks at Restoration games come up with something cool. They'll have my money!
I am hoping for some kind of maneuverable compartments that you can arrange to the size you need and you can buy more that will attach to it so you can just add on as needed.
Please, please, please, storage solution WITH sleeves. I'd also be interested in a engaging, co-op mode. This may go against the grain of the game, but a challenging co-op does appeal to a good amount of gamer.
We were just talking about it last night when we were playing the new Redemption Row set. My big Tim Hortons coffee box is completely full now of unmatched stuff. 🤣
Great video. ** We're listening! ** As for number 4, that was really a product of the pandemic. This year is going to be bursting with UM releases.
I figured as much. I'm just a glutton for UM, so the more...the better! 🤪
100% agree on the big box storage solution
@restoration games, we need a 8 character battle chest just like dice throne..
make it all marvel characters.

I definitely agree with the storage problem. I did come up with a good idea of using an old fashioned suitcase and using the boxes from bought

These would all be really great additions to the game. Especially for the set of maps idea 💡
Right, the more options for maps, the better. Thanks for watching.

I'd personally like to see a large set that has more then 4 characters, it would probably be expensive, but it would be worth it lol
Would be interesting, especially if they then released a bigger board with it.
Great video and great ideas! A legacy unmatched?? Holy cow take my money 🔥
Right!? It just makes sense to me!
Great video. I'm on board for any and all of these ideas!!
Thanks! The more Unmatched the better!

Big box storage preferably with card safe trays and foam for the painted minis is my no:1 wish for this game
I know they are working on something and I'm excited to see their solution.
I would love to see Jack the Ripper, Dorian Gray, Helsing, and Frankenstein set.
I just want them to properly release the sets in the UK!

I can't really comment on the Crites since I haven't seen the movie but that seems like a very interesting mechanic that could be explored.

Wichwhich unmatched should i buy? "Cobble ando fog" or "vol 2". I have Vol 1
That is tough. Both are amazing sets. Since I rate them soo close together I would just pick the set of characters that interest you the most.
I think the big box is a thing they need to do!

@@TheBoardMeeting you got the new sets already??
@@benanddaniellereviews Just Redemption Row, I think the other one is delayed somewhere.
@@TheBoardMeeting oh okay awesome, for some reason I thought we still had to wait another month or so for it!
8 characters in a battle chest like dice throne will be cool. make it marvel characters
I'd be down for this. I think they will explore bigger boxes as they have now released 1, 2, 3, and 4 player boxes.
