Of the current 100, I’ve played 35. Of those I haven’t played, there are really only 5 that I actively want to seek out and play. BGG’s average tastes seem like they don’t often align with mine. To each their own.
Oh wauw, you've played a lot of them :-) Just checked and I've played 31 games out of the top 100 which is more than I thought :p When I look at the games that I haven't played, I noticed that there are a couple on my shelf waiting to be played ;-) But I can also see some games on there that just aren't for me (length, complexity,...)
I would never imagine trying to play the top 100. Lol mostly because im a solo player, $$ *which you mentioned, and complexity *which you mentioned. I've learned to be happy with my preferences that aren't well liked. The joy of finding someone who likes one of your favorites vs finding some one who loves only the popular games doesn't compare. Just looked, ive only played 7 physical board games in the top 100. A few more *maybe 7 more on BGA.
I’ve played 46 of the top 100 games- they do skew to the heavier weight games (and longer too) Like you, I’m the one who buys the games and learns them and I’m losing my enthusiasm for more heavy games. I’ve got enough already that challenge my ability to learn the rules and remember them. My game group prefers games under 2 hours and I’d rather not do a long rules teach. So it’s unlikely I’ll play everything in the top 100. Conventions might be a place to play and not have to buy every game?
I've played about 75 of the games. It skews a bit heavy which will suit me more than you! There's a lot of the games I have no wish to play like Pandemic Legacy but maybe 10 that are on a vague to play list. My uncertainty is with reprints - I think I have played revised Eclipse and Agricola but I'm not sure. I played both originals a ton.

Played 32 games on the BGG 100. They don't typically resonate with my gaming group.
I've played 36. Mid 60s is pretty amazing.
