Reason 5: The coccyx is dislocated or broken creating tension on the pelvic floor. Pretty common but often overlooked by most doctors until you get someone to rule it out with a x-ray of the sacrum/ coccyx.

Is it possible that you get a tight pelvic floor because you hold you bladder to often? I ask this is because when I was in public school my teachers rarely let me use the bathroom. And that is when my symptoms started showing.

I have constipation related to pelvic floor dysfunction. I would bring it up w/ your dr, maybe ask for a referral to a gastroenterology to rule out something serious first. That's what I did.
