That's true! We try to find decent generic footage for our videos, and this part was a good option. We briefly mention the UZZ32 for info purposes, but our main focus is the 1JZ powered JZZ.
Of course you can mod anything. Would just be a matter of knowing which wires go where. You should check out the Lexus forums. I've seen some great mods like an IS steering wheel on a Soarer with paddle shift and the telephone buttons.
Basically this car got almost every single one of Toyota's best engines as an option
