  • In this video the Pajero takes a bit of a beating at the hands of the High Country. Avon Track gives us some great views, and we continue our attempt to reach McMillans Lookout. We are so lucky to have places like this in Victoria. We can't wait to explore some more.

Nice to see a video of a basically standard 4wd in the High Country instead of the insanely built (and expensive) LC70’s and Y62’s.
That rear plastic bumper looks exposed, might want to look at Boos Bashplates who make a rear UVP to suit
    Cheers

Thanks for the comment. Yeah it’s amazing what you can get away with in some stock vehicles. I’ve heard other Pajero drivers call the rear bumper a sand scoop. I guess it’s a mud scoop too. Definitely need to do something about it before we leave it behind somewhere. 😂

Yep I will always be up for a High Country trek. Plenty of places I don't go solo not having a winch

Thanks for the video fellas. Have driven all those tracks recently and as you say, Hickeys Ck E track would've been okay to get you out onto Mt Margaret Tk. Looks like there'd been a good bit of rain by the look of those mud puddles along Ben Cruachan Ck. If you had gone down Hickey's Creek Tk to Licola Road it might have been a bit concerning if wet, with some steep and slippery descents near McMillan's Lookout. Agree that a lift would be useful for the Pajero and also a winch in that country if you're driving solo.

Thanks for that. Yeah we loved that drive. But we were a bit unsure of the way forward so just played it safe and turned back. But that just gives us a reason to have another go. It’s good to get the feedback on Hickeys Creek East Tk as well. Cheers.
