Two such beautiful and perfect voices! I'll never forget when this song was released, I was stunned by the perfection of them together! It's wonderful to hear it again...I'll always love and admire Linda.
I have read that his wife was in the audience, and she told them to play it up, make people believe that they meant it, but the story says they were just friends.
It is said (by many) that the producers of this show did NOT want Linda to seem "friendly" while singing this duet. That's why she kissed him at the end!
@@donniehagy5125That’s what I heard. They didn’t want a black and white backlash so she was told not to play it up. Linda, being the activist she always was, said ‘hold my beer’….. 😂😂
Aaron Neville is New Orleans born and made. He started to sing when he was in Catholic school. He went on to form a band named the Neville Brothers. I e of the brothers has passed now and Aaron is not in the best of health. We have an s nual music festival here the last weekend if April and the first week in May and is called Jazz Fest. The Neville Brothers always closed the show at the Fest. If you want to have even more of a reaction try to find Aaron singing Ave Maria Acapella.
One of the best love songs ever. This was at the Grammys and they won the Grammy for this song. They did not have a love relationship but were very good friends.
One of the most beautiful duets. Both have fabulous voices. Also check out Linda's first big hit in 1967 "Different Drum" with The Stone Poneys. Other hits were "Hurt So Bad", "You're No Good", "Long Long Time", "Poor Poor Pitiful Me", "Desperado", "Tracks Of My Tears" etc.
Yes, Magic. 😊 Aaron & Linda recorded a handful of duets together. They would pop onto each others' albums every now and then. Thanks for sharing this one!
I loved your reaction so much on this one!!! It is very moving watching you being so moved!!! One could tell that it was a pure, genuine reaction. There was so much joy and excitement on your face, that i thought you were going to get up out of your chair!!! I react about the same!! This definitely was not just a performance, but Magic!!! They connected sooo well!!! This was just the kind of thing i needed to see after such a grievous night at work!!!!!! Thank you!!! Cannot wait for the next one!!
Linda of course has a brilliant voice but Aaron Neville is just as mind blowing isn't he? It was rumored they were in a relationship but both of them have denied it saying they were only friends.
Linda was so restrained and clearly let Aaron lead.. She can belt one out and has such a powerful voice yet here she settles off the pace and provides beautiful descant/harmonies
They won a Grammy for this in 1990 and then another one in 1991 called “All My Life”. Aaron and Linda are magical together as a duet. They were not a couple but knew one another for many years before this duet. They also did an album together where they collaborated on more than a few songs.
I grew up straight up traditional country, and had never heard this song until it was played at my cousin's wedding. I have never forgotten it. It sent chills up my spine back then -- at age 17 -- and still does now 33 years later. It's no wonder this one won a Grammy.
My father-in-law loved Aaron Neville's voice. He was very prejudiced, but he loved his voice. I think Aaron Neville broke many boundaries with his music. Singing soulful country music was really a thing (that I know of) till he came around. This song is one of my all time favorites. ❤
I’ve seen this performance many times and now I’ve watched your reaction at least 3 times. You are so pure, honest and realistic in your interpretations. I really enjoy watching your channel. Thank you for all the energy and thoughtfulness you put in to these videos.
LINDA I ALWAYS LOVED WHEN Aaron came along I was melting what an Angel's VOICE. Notice how Linda let him have The floor, it completely Came together pulling on my Heart strings. Thats king and QUEEN PERFORMANCE ❤❤
OK, this is a little sneaky, but I am compelled to let you all know. I saw Ronstadt in 1973 at the Cellar Door in DC. I saw her many, many times over the years. For me, she is one of the greatest vocalists in pop music history. When illness took her career away 10 years ago, I resigned myself to listening to her on UA-cam, Spotify, etc. Three weeks ago, I took a chance and drove 120 miles to Philadelphia to hear Tristan McIntosh and "The Linda Ronstadt Experience". Tribute shows usually consist of a singer choosing music from the artists song list and just singing. I promise you, this is something different. Tristan almost inhabits Linda. Close your eyes and she takes you back in time. While much of the UA-cam postings lack quality, look around and you will find enough to know bliss. Go see her if you can. The group is touring now. The next day, we went to brunch with two young ladies, 22 and 24. When we told them who we saw the previous night, they looked at us with blank stares. They had NEVER HEARD OF LINDA RONSTADT! Folks, please, please try to introduce your children and your grandchildren to the magic of Linda Ronstadt before there are none of us left to carry her torch.
I love this song so very much. I really love watching people react to it, especially when they have heard Linda before. The reactors always talk about her stunning voice before playing rhis song, and they hear the most remarkable Mr. Neville and are blown away! It always makes me smile, nobody has ever reacted to this song and said "I don't really like it".
This is one of the best romantic duets ever-- Linda's mic isn't high enough to truly hear the harmony right on this in the softer tones, I'm hoping that it's easier to hear later on in the song!
Love, love, love this song by them. Two wonderful, lovely and talented folks. Sounded so good when it first came out and just as good today. Thank you.
You know you've been slapped in the soul the minute that man opens his mouth, and linda really?? I have never been able to listen to this without bawling like a baby my whole life❤❤
You have just heard the angels in Heaven! I've loved this song since it was first released and I'm so happy it affected you as it did. More choices for Aaron are "The Grand Tour" (cover of George Jones - live at Georges tribute concert), another duet with Trisha Yearwood "I Fall to Pieces" (cover of Patsy Cline) or another spine chiller "Crazy Love" (from the movie "Phenomenon.") His voice is amazing and of course Linda was always stunning!! Thank you for this wonderful reaction, Craig!!
❤ The "Crazy Love" song scene was one of the most caring & romantic songs/scenes I have ever seen. That song did it for me. Love Aaron's voice. He really sings with feeling.
These are two of my all time favorite singers! Love them singing together! I’ve heard three different stories about the two of them…that they were briefly a couple; that they were just the best of friends; and that Linda’s label didn’t think her fans would like seeing them together and specifically forbade her to stand close to him when performing together. If that last one is true, she obviously showed them what she thought about that! 😆😆😆
I'm going to try 'quote' a regular subscriber, debbiechang, who submits a lot of information to the reaction sites. I hope I get it right. This performance was live, yes, at the Grammys. Apparently, Aaron was incredibly nervous about this performance and the nomination for a grammy. Linda held back on a lot of her vocals in order to give Aaron the 'limelight'. She did her best to try and make him comfortable, which I think shows with all of her smiles during the performance. And, no, they were not romantically involved. Just good friends. In fact, when they won the grammy that night, Linda had to remind Aaron during their acceptance speech, to acknowledge his wife, because he was so nervous, he forgot.
Aaron Neville , is one of the most , amazing singers in the world , I enjoy listening to him sing , and could listen to him for hours, please do more of his songs !!!❤❤❤
Wow! I haven’t heard this for so long, such a beautiful duet! Their voices blend so beautifully! Still bright tears to my eyes, they both sound like angels!😇 Really enjoy your reactions! I’m glad you reacted to this one! Brings back great memories!👍❤
If you need more Linda, and who doesn’t, Blue Bayou can’t be missed. Check out Desperado, You’re No Good, Someone To Lay Down Beside Me, Faithless Love, Tracks of My Tears. But if you really want to be amazed at what a voice can do, you will need to hear her Spanish language mariachi songs like La Cigarra.
You should read Linda’s Wikipedia page. She has pretty much done it all. Unfortunately, she revealed that she had Parkinson’s disease and can no longer sing a note. Her diagnosis was later changed to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. It’s really sad to not be able to hear her magnificent voice.
While Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville had an undeniable chemistry on stage, their relationship was strictly platonic. They shared a deep musical connection and a profound respect for each other's talent.
His voice is so amazing and Linda....what can you say? She defined the 70s and early 80s. Started buying her albums around 1971 and kept on buying them. Saw her twice live and she was awesome.
Aaron is one of the few men out there that can run with Linda
This has to be one of the greatest duets ever. Both insanely talented and this is just beautiful.
Aaron Neville, honestly no one can sing like he did, perfection!
Los Bee Gees lo han hecho ,se le llama falsete ,sin duda sin picos los que pueden cantar así con falsete
you do know he's still alive...lol. He's a legend!
Two such beautiful and perfect voices! I'll never forget when this song was released, I was stunned by the perfection of them together! It's wonderful to hear it again...I'll always love and admire Linda.
Aaron Neville voice can still make me cry .Beautiful. His voice talks to my soul.
We had this song in our wedding in 1992. 31 years later, I still don’t know much, but I know I love her. Great song and great duet.
I have my wedding early next year to my beautiful lady in Japan and this will be our song also ❤
They won a Grammy with this masterpiece.
Aaron’s voice always gives me chills. I hadn’t heard this duet in many years. Linda Ronstadt is musical royalty as well. Thanks!
Best duet ever for me, and I'm 63, Aaron and Linda still make me cry, chemistry+humbleness+ talent=this duet😇😶🌫️
I believe they won a grammy for this song. Just beautiful

Aaron Neville put the hurt in this song...and it's perfect.
How many dozens of times have I listened to this duet... wrings tears from my eyes, every single time.
Pure talent... live no auto tune
Aaron singing “The Grand Tour” is phenomenal
Linda doing "Desperado" and "Blue Bayou" are two of my favorites
Linda could and did sing everything!
Her Spanish CD was really good also.Canciones de mi Padre. Great.
Not many men could stay with Linda but Aaron matched her note for note , beautiful song
She held back! On purpose, please!
Yes...and she softens her voice at times not going above his...this allowed their voices to blend into each others.....
Always loved this one. Aaron Neville is incredible.

OH My gOD they are AWESOME.
Linda of course has a brilliant voice but Aaron Neville is just as mind blowing isn't he?
It was rumored they were in a relationship but both of them have denied it saying they were only friends.
Neville and Ronstadt are only good friends with both affection for each other and great respect for the other’s talent. No romantic relationship
Linda was so restrained and clearly let Aaron lead.. She can belt one out and has such a powerful voice yet here she settles off the pace and provides beautiful descant/harmonies
Craig, I loved watching your reaction! The joy on your face was wonderful to see!
Aaron Neville's "Tell It Like It Is" is one of the sexiest songs out there.
One of my metal head husband's favorite all time songs, Tell It Like It Is!
One of my faves
I've always loved his voice and that vibrato is so distinctive. ❤ it.
They won a Grammy for this in 1990 and then another one in 1991 called “All My Life”. Aaron and Linda are magical together as a duet. They were not a couple but knew one another for many years before this duet. They also did an album together where they collaborated on more than a few songs.
"all my life" is also AMAZING!!! have you heard her duet with James Ingram too? I loved it too

Baby, you ain’t heard nothing yet. He’s got much more.
My mama bought this CD just before she passed and she fell in love with Aaron Neville. Linda is a wonderful soul. ❤
Every once in a while the perfect duet is assembled to sing a song, and it's magical. Great song choice!
Stunning duet
"The Grand Tour" is an awesome song that Aaron covered. It was originally sung by George Jones in 1974.
Yes, great one!
My father-in-law loved Aaron Neville's voice. He was very prejudiced, but he loved his voice. I think Aaron Neville broke many boundaries with his music. Singing soulful country music was really a thing (that I know of) till he came around. This song is one of my all time favorites. ❤
I’ve always loved Linda and her voice melds with his so perfectly. Aaron has a very unique style. Thanks 👵🏼💜☮️
A must listen is Ave Maria by Aaron Neville.. his rendition is absolutely stunning ❤
Goosebumps through the whole song
I always get choked up with this one! So beautiful ❤
Aaron Neville is from Louisiana. We have the best voices, music, and food. Everything he sings is magic. His family sings as well.
Yes y’all do.

No, their relationship was NOT just platonic.
They had a 4 year romance. This song was during that time.
Aaron said no and then years later Linda said yes. My suspicion is Aaron was being a gentleman.
I read in an article that they had a romantic relationship.
This was one of our wedding songs back in 1990❣️
Aaron Neville is an artist you should react to more.
This song gives me goosebumps to this day! Amazing duet. A ton of memories attached to this song! Thanks for the reaction!!
A voice from Aaron Neville unlike any other saying hello from Australia
You def need to listen to Aaron do Tell It Like It Is.
