Yeah, agreed. His camera work is excellent, his wording eloquent and his sense of humour on point. And unlike, say Sam C, everything sounds genuine rather than somehow false and pretentious.
This video is stunning. Narration, editing, production (especially the music and views of the Saudi desert) are all outstanding. I'm going to replay this on a 65" television and soak in the experience.
Man, thank you for a most hilarious and informative 15 minutes travelling with you whilst I remain locked in @ Melbourne, Victoria at the end of the world.
Thanks for the comments people, We have achieved the light at the end of the tunnel, with me watching a very large passenger craft leave Tullamarine at exactly 18.00, today after 200 days of lockdown, cancelled 2 major international trips and 4 domestic trips. It seems incredible that vicarious travellers in other continents appear hardly troubled by flight restrictions, whilst here in the backblocks of the Southern Hemisphere were forced to vegetate and rely on tUTube for our flight and travel kicks
@@vonoxid i was talking about the uploads he did recently, no idea what he has planned ahead aside of that little announcement but im excited nonetheless
2:53 the dedication of entering the room placing the camera, go back out, and film your entrance is amazing! People shoukd know how much effort it takes for these details.
These are always such great videos. Genuine humor and realistic evaluations combined with an ever-so-amusing bitch-smacking sarcasm that never fails to land home. Best aviation reviews on the web.
Cheers for the mention 😃 and yes DOH is a great airport. I know that EK and EY are probably the most well known of the ME3, but QR are genuinely brilliant. I’ve never had a bad flight and the one slightly disappointing time when my 787 was subb’d to an A330 was well and truely made up for by a brilliant crew.
OMG!!! so I live in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia, so I go out plane spotting a lot, and I was and took a video of a 777 heading from Doha to Riyadh, since a large amount of Qatar airways flights heading to Africa, Western Europe, North America, South America, and the small islands in the indian ocean. Great to see your arabic is on point. 🇸🇦😊
Having transferred through Hamad International a few times I can confirm that even pre-covid at peak hours the airport’s design makes it feel so spacious and you really don’t notice how many people are around you until you pass through security or physically board your flight.
I see this is a common comment, but you are by far the best aviation reviewer on this platform, you absolutely set the standard. Also, I think you've got a couple pixels out on that lense, I could finally afford my first 4k tv a while ago, and this made me momentarily sh!t myself lol
You always make me smile… ah the days I lived jet hopping… though a lot of times when I was younger I was flying show horses overseas sleeping in hammocks ( ocd about their care) .. but the rest flying in the 60-80 was luxurious to say the least … now it’s a cattle call in comparison… unless you spend a year’s salary… sad …
YOOOOOOOOOO WHAT A VIDEO MAN As a resident of Riyadh going through the end stages of your previously mentioned childhood (god that was pretentious), I can’t help but feel proud for some reason. Great stuff once again. Keep it up!!
Another excellent video, sir. Many years ago I was fortunate enough to work in Taif for a couple of years. It's nice to get a brief glimpse at how much has changed.
This is my first time watching your review and I loved it! Can't believe I didn't find your channel earlier. But now that I'm here, I'm exited to see what you've got next for us. Cheers!
Normally Qatar airways gives the second ME flight (you case Doha to Riyadh) as First class label if you are transiting through Doha with a business class ticket. You could have accessed the Al Safwa lounge with it. I did the same myself two months ago. It was a jaw dropping experience...
Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!! If not I will report to Qatar that you damaged their little sofa piece. 🤗🤗😃kidding I'm only kidding.
I thought Qatar provided free airport hotel accommodation if your layover is longer than a certain time period and you are flying business class. Was this not an option for you?
love your comments i enjoyed the ride with you i relax and forget everything for a few minutes thanks for sharing looking forward for the next flight greetings from the netherlands
Great report of a great airline that provides an excellent food service on a one-hour flight that US airlines can't get near to on a twelve hour flight.
He's Canadian but his audience is (I suspect) largely American. Out of necessity, we tend to be ambidextrous when it comes to measurements. Don't ask me about kilo newtons, however.

Wow, what a beautiful airport this one is! Really stunning. I hope you don't mind my very personal question, but *why* is your family in Riyadh exactly?
That lounge is awesome. I used to love hanging there between flights but since QatarAirways decided to stiff its members and removed access for business class points upgrades, I sadly can only look up with fond memories as plod around the airport, awaiting my next flight!
I lived in Riyadh from 1979-1991. I remember KKIA well. I first flew into Riyadh on a Tristar L-1011 at the old airport. I have good memories of that. KKIA hasnt changed much since I last saw it in 91. I remember the Royal Terminal as well... on the other side of the regular terminals. Its good to see an AvGeek from Riyadh. It brings back good memories for me. Keep up the good work.
Great video, as usual :) I've actually been inside the two of those Saudi Royal airplanes. Back in 2008, if I recall well, the King came to Poland with a visit and I was able to enter the planes. One was a flying hospital and the second was a flying apartment, with huge sofas, TVs, golden toilets etc. My first thought was - what a great place for a partey :)
Outstanding review. Without a doubt your presentations are a joy to watch....informative, entertaining, and in Covid times are most welcome. Keep up the great work and yes we all do appreciate the untold unseen labor you put into producing each video.
I watched a couple of your videos before and I don't know why I didn't subscribe back then. Glad the algorithm allowed me to cross paths with your videos and I have rectified my mistake by subscribing. The editing, the music, the voice over, the script, and the humor... I can't ask for anything else. Keep up the good work! I am looking forward to more of your videos because they are close as I'll ever get to flying business/first class (anything above Economy). Love your content, my dude.
The lounge your room overlooked looks like the business class lounge for those on frequent flyer silver status. not as nice as the one you went but decent and is the one I used to visit on my transits in Doha.
I like my job but sometimes I get to Sunday and think ugh, here we go again - Monday is imminent. Thanks for this video that brought me a few minutes escape from the sense of impending doom the work week provided today.
You may already, but I encourage looking at "staycations" if you can. Exploring the nearby area you live can be fun. Could even book a night at a nice hotel or airbnb somewhere with things to do that's within a 2-3hr drive. They really alievate that back to work dread
@@Ephigy1 Oh, don't' worry I hop on a plane tomorrow for a road trip; it's the time thing at this time of year - difficult to take vacations even short ones. Got something booked for January first class on ANA to Sydney and FC Emirates on the way back so my slight AV Geek side is just hanging out until then.
Once again a great video, thank you for that. What I wonder is, when you start recording the video do you have a fixed plan of what and how you want to do it, making sure you film all that, say the right things, at the right moment, or is it all done in editing when you see what you actually have filmed and said (what it is you have to work with)? Just curious how these things go. Thanks.
Hey it's peeping Tom time, I love it. The bear is actually an odd sexual object that the Princess could not keep it at home. North Korea, that's funny. Great video, I loved it.
Amazing video! You're definitely one of the most underrated aviation bloggers! Never been more happier hearing my country (Bahrain) from you lol. Hopefully in the future you try out gulf air's brand new 787 🙌
this dude is so underrated. this is by far my favourite aviation channel on youtube.
I am with you on this one, hands down
I absolutely agree. I also like that he says if he’s been influenced to give a better review and when he’s not.
Yeah, agreed.
His camera work is excellent, his wording eloquent and his sense of humour on point.
And unlike, say Sam C, everything sounds genuine rather than somehow false and pretentious.
To me this is the go to aviation channel. Sam C is just rubbish, plus most of the others are pretty poor and this is easily the benchmark.
@@simonpilk I don't mind Paul Lucas I have to say - but he does lack a bit of personality or uniqueness, perhaps.
