every-time I hear his voice now a sinking feelings takes over. Scotty you will never know how much you helped me through some of the shittiest days of my life.
He still helps me to this day.
It kills me that he died all alone, though he’d made so many of us feel less desperately alone. What 1000s of us would have given to be there telling him how loved and and needed he was. ❤️

What I sort of like about the Tiny Changes charity is its focus on youth. A lot of the fundamentals of my own problems started a long time ago and if someone could have intervened when I was little and listened and made me feel valued and heard, maybe I wouldn't be chronically depressed and anxious now as an adult. Now everything about my thought processes feels more baked and set and much harder to fix.
Absolutely feel the same. So grateful for this critical positive thing which came out of Scott's death.

I randomly searched " it hurts when I wake up" and this band was the first thing that showed up.
I lost my 32 year old Son who took his life by Hanging so I get all the wordsGod help those who are out there hurting and Please let the rst understand there pain and give them HELP before they too succumb to the internal pressure
So sorry for your loss. I know the struggle well. Going to bed praying that if you don't wake up feeling better, then God please take me in my sleep. For years, that felt like an eternity, I always woke up, but never felt better. I'm still here, years later with that struggle behind me but never completely gone. Point being, none of us really wants to leave, especially with loved ones who will be left to deal with the loss. People think it's a choice. I beg to differ. It's something that words fail to explain. Thank you for your compassionate words.
Sorry to hear that. My brother took that path in 1999. Could not get sober. I once felt that way, for years. I don't know why was able to choose to surrender, but I have 31 years sober.
Thank you for putting it in a way I could never have explained. Things personally for me are looking up but you're right Leila, it doesn't leave. It'll sit in the background just waiting for the next set of events or bad days to raise it's head once more. I was fucking gutted to hear about Scott's death, "Holy", "The wrestle" & "poke" got me through some shit times and relationships. I hope you come to terms and peace HW Grierson, all the best. I just found them about a year ago. Not that I have the money for big band concerts, it's sad to know I'll never see them live. What an absolute bummer that Scott felt he needed to do that. I never felt that tug before, I can't fathom the notion.
What helped me through my suicidal thoughts was...

There are people who you haven't met yet, there are memories left to be created, there are emotions that are left to be felt,
so please don't give up on yourself my beauties.
Mine was a failed suicide that made me feel for the first time in years and the lockdown during the covid 19 outbreak that made me go home and all my friends that were in different places. I know people were suffering and many died during the lockdown but the lockdown made me breathe for the first time in years and I got to hang out with my friends and explore the forests, mountains, rivers etc.. like there's no tomorrow. And, during those times, I started thinking about my future.
We could go out during the lockdown because well everyone was tested for the virus and everyone that came in were quarantined for a month including me. The whole town tested negative and despite all that we still use hand sanitizers and wore masks around people.

Every time I listen to this song or watch this video, a sudden chill starts running all over my body. I remember the first time I listened to your voice Scott, it fixed everything in the world for me. You are dearly missed, I really hope wherever you are today, you know that. Love you.

The lead singer was found dead, from apparent suicide, this morning. Incredible talent, incredibly heart-breaking... and this song, its lyrics and the clear allusions to the pain of mental illness seems to help explain this unimaginable loss. Music suffers today.

so today i've walked home from a stressfull exam when this song started playing. then i realised that it was a beautifull day and it just made my day.
The common misconception is that there is all this "help"... To say "get help" is to place the blame on the suffering and to make everyone else feel better by placing the responsibility elsewhere. He probably tried to help himself, other people may have even tried to make him feel better... These things just happen sometimes in life. However devastating the blame is on no one. At least his heavy heart is at rest now. R.I.P. Scott and God bless all your friends and family xx

I had my Episodes for sometimes weeks where I couldn't get out of bed .this Song describes these feelings word by word .it couldn't have been written without Feeling the same as I did . I can not translate my feelings and thankfullness for the band and for Scott into words. Neither can I for the loss of people loving him or his way of leaving us
This song is just quintessentially Frightened Rabbit. Absolutely spectacular. This album is going to be very special.

This album is no Midnight Organ Fight, but you can't mess with perfection and the band has clearly evolved into something new and different. This album is beautiful in its own right.

It has taken me a month to get through your beautiful music without the tears coming forcefully. So sorry to hear of your loss. Suicide is a devastating blow for those who survive and my heart aches to know this is how Scott left us- to know his pain and now to know yours. The music still stirs the souls of so many. And I hope you will continue to make more when ready. My husband played Old Old Fashioned for me at our wedding. I listen to your music at the highs. And at the lows. And today it occurred to me how much you sculpt your sound. The staccato opening into broad bellows, waves that wash over you. It's visceral. You speak and sing to the soul. Thank you.
