This really hit hard last month, I resort to this song to remember my Uncle. He died in his sleep peacefully, the reason for is that he had cancer and he didnt want us to worry and didnt tell us. He was my everything he inspired me so much. We miss you Scott. Thank you for everything. You have helped so many people throughtout your life story and music. RIP Scott.

One note: I'm fairly certain it's "apart from the ring" not rain. Since, tinnitus is when your ears ring. Hard to hear for sure, but that makes more sense to me.

RIP scott can't believe it still...when I 1st heard this song although not a suicide it drew so many parallels from finding my dad dead at 54. Shit like that stays with you and like your music for the last 10 years you won't be forgotten

I haven't listened to his songs, but when I did, this song immediately grabbed my attention. After losing Avicii, it was rough, but this song just makes me think about suicide, and the pain musicians go through.
I hope that Scott Hutchinson gets well deserved rest, it's such a shame to see talented artists end their own lives.
As i write this, I feel like i could break down into tears, but I hold back, almost choking on my own breath as I struggle to contain my emotions. This song just resonates so strongly with me it's unreal.

Looking at the album art it kinda reminds me of a building of a heart, with the red and blue pipelines. A building with no doors to enter or leave, only windows looking out into an empty landscape. Very melancholic.
I genuinely think your songwriting is above and beyond any other band could attempt. This is fucking incredible.

always thought that when I was younger I could deal with all challenges that come at me, good or bad, keep a mellow mind( I told myself). Everytime I hear this song makes things a little more sense. I guess just let go and try not to control everything.
I listened to this album a lot during the lockdowns.
Strange that it links me to times via that I'd have done anything to escape, but that are somehow tinged with a weird type of nostalgia.
For me, this is a clear reminder of why we should be skeptical when we hear older people recalling 'the good old days'.
I still listen to this album , we all miss you Scott , it's a tragedy to have lost such a great talent , but then it seems to be a reoccurring pattern with intensely talented artists . Rip man

i found about this band when Scott's passing reached me on twitter in my freshman year of high school. since then his words have helped me and i thank him. i wish i could have listened and supported while he was present. rest easy friend.

This is exactly how I feel every day. Scott was what got me through a lot of my depression. All of his songs were horribly depressing. Even those who were meant to be a jest. They were still horribly sad. Its why I relaxed and listened to his music.
Doesn't matter how successful, beloved, easy, good-looking, or together you think someone's life is, we all carry profound pain and walk around with exposed wounds. Please try to remember that in your daily interactions with others, especially these days.

Can someone explain this song? From my interpretation, it's someone who is riddled with anxiety who is/knows someone they love in the same situation who may be thinking of suicide and may be worried about them so much that it shows up when they are sleeping. Like me perhaps. And in the dream this person walks in on themselves or this person they love on the floor dead. But anyone can interpret it any way. For me, this is what I fear my panic attacks/anxiety will end it because I can't take it anymore. Beautiful song.

Yes a year late but yes, I suffer depression clinical borderline personality disorder. It's about you always think about being depressed u cant get away u dont want to live even sleeping it goes into not wanting to live. Then when it's not that bad, it's still in the back of your mind, u may be ok now but deep inside u know ull always be in pain as u will relapse

I went to see FR in 2009 when Midnight Organ Fight was still huge and it was the best gig of my life. They played a couple of songs off Winter of Mixed Drinks before it came out as well.
What i like about them is that you can hear their scottish accents when they sing + they're brilliant musicians.

the show in a nutshell is about the original family of vampires the first ever vampires the oldest and the most powerful they return to the city of New Orleans after years of hiding and running only to find out that the city has moved on and forgotten them so now they have to fight for it its a spinoff of the other tv show "the vampire diaries" which is funny because "the originals" was actually rated better then the "vampire diaries" even though it was a spinoff I would definitely say that "the originals" was better than "the vampire dairies" and you don't necessarily watch "the vampire diaries" in order to understand "the originals" BUT I would highly recommend it THEN they have also made a sequel to BOTH shows called LEGACIES this show follows the "legacies" of both shows as this one focuses on some of the main characters children from the previous shows if you have nothing to do you can just BINGE all three THEY ARE ALL ON NETFLIX I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM THEY ARE SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
