Can each mixer channel have a different filter type or do they all have to be the same? Also, I think you said you’re using the se02, and it seems to be on a usb channel, so even the new boutique line can use mx1’s stereo usb? I’ve not been able to even get roland to answer if the new boutique can use usb or only the Aira line.
Hi The Drümünkey! Thanks for the questions :) Yes, the MX-1 can have different filter types on each channel. Also, yes the SE02 works on the MX-1 via USB - and so do all the boutiques. Roland announced this in one of the firmware updates for the MX-1. Also, I've done a video that covers this question, so might be a cool thing to subscribe ;) I even talk about how to use multiple boutiques om the MX-1 - like you see on this video :) Here's the link to my video: ua-cam.com/video/ZDYsF9HJzNM/v-deo.html Here's the link to the Roland page that announces what works on the USB ports: www.rolandcorp.com.au/blog/the-ultimate-guide-to-the-aira-mx-1
Awesome vid! Can't wait to learn more about it, this is the only way for me to learn how my stuff work so I´m very greatful for your work.
Thanks Johan! I've finished filming all the parts now - so the others will be up over the next week or two.
Great to hear! Are you gonna make any videos on how to use the mx-1 with other DAWs then Ableton? I´m a cubase freak and can´t figure it out :)
If Yamaha are willing to gift me a license of Cubase - I'd be more than happy to do videos on it.
great tutorial series!
