In today's video, I'm going to take a closer look at the recent changes introduced in TimeStope, a mobile app that allows you to earn a new cryptocurrency called Tau simply by pressing a button once per day on your phone.

TimeStope published the first draft of it's white-paper in autumn 2020 and is following a similar approach to Pi Network by giving away free TimeStope "Tau" coins to users of their TimeStope app.
TimeStope just like Pi Network does this because they both agree that the approach followed by cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is unfair and only benefits early adopters.
Every TimeStope user receives 24 "Tau" (time) per day. From these 24 Tau, 40% are credited to the witness (the person who invited a user to join TimeStope) and 60% remains with the user.
This way, TimeStope creates an incentive for its users to spread the word and invite new users to join the TimeStope app.
Since "mining" TimeStope's Tau coins happens on your smartphone and the mining speed is not determined by the hardware or operating system of your smartphone but only depends on the number of people you invite to join your TimeStope Network it's by far the fairest approach to building a cryptocurrency I've seen in a long time.
TimeStope is, therefore, a great opportunity to get free crypto coins and as a result free money in 2020 with zero risks involved since TimeStope app users don't have to invest any money and it only takes roughly five seconds per day to confirm your attendance in the TimeStope application and receive more free coins.

Hi, thanks for the video. Do you know if they are planning to decentralise the blockchain completely for Mainnet? If so, are they planning to use the Stellar Consensus Protocol like Pi Network, or PoS? PoW doesn't make sense here. It feels like the current wallet must be centralised using servers if they are able to do transactions so early on? I can't find anything on their whitepaper about how/if they plan to decentralise.

Theoretically, yes. But since it isn't listed on any exchange right now you'd need to find somebody yourself that is willing to pay you for your sTime.
Hi Christian when looking at timestope permissions the storage permission isn't there anymore. Do you know what caused it? Now only camera and location are there
I think that might relate to a recent change the made regarding where/how they store their certificate.
I done kyc first it said to blink right eye, I was blinking for long time then I realised I have to press the image to record so I clicked at that time I'm not sure I blinked. So I pressed cancel again it said to blink but I didn't read whether it was my right or left eye I tried to go back. But it didn't go back. Does it say to blink left eye in kyc
It's first left then right... I know the process is frustrating ^^ but if you quit and start the app again you can see the instructions again as well.
Am having an issue whereby the app is saying there's a new version then on clicking confirm it takes me to the playstore but after clicking get it still doesn't update and it gets me back to the '"new version page please confirm'"
Quit the app, maybe restart your phone, go to the Play Store and search for it there, it should have an "Update" button.

Hey Christian. I have a question. I almost reached 900 timestopes, but as far as i remember I have not gotten the notice tot do the kyc process. How can I know for sure? When I try to send a message to the joined channel "community english" I can't send messages. I get a notice that only members can send messages.
It's not about the balance on top but the ATTENDANCE SCORE in the calendar.
That said, you can check your profile in the app. If it has a green "KYC" next to it you already completed it, and if it hasn't and your attendance score is at least 300 (I think I said 200 in the video by mistake) you should see the KYC button on the main screen of the app.
Can you please tell me why direct kyc option is not enabled on my account. M doing KYC for the first time. The only available option is crowd kyc other one is not clickable.
It's been one of the latest updates. For now only KYC.Crowd is available.

What does the 300s button do on the home page of timestope? It counts down, and you can tap it again, but I don't see it changing anything. What does it do?
Certain actions, like, for example, refreshing your list of referrals, can only be done once every 5 minutes (300s).

For that you either would need to find somebody now that is willing to buy your sTime or wait until sTime or Tau in general becomes a real token and gets listen on an exchange.

Christian I am still a little confused with stoping. Now that we have succeeded in passing KYC I have an amount of time in my stoping account, my question is what can I do with it that is of value, goods or services whatever. Do I continue clicking on a daily basis. I just wait to see how far it goes but it would good if there was some fun to have at the same time.
The short answer is, continue to confirm your attendace to receive more fTime and stoping to convert that into sTime.
There is still a long way before you'll be able to trade your Time on any exchange but TimeStope just recently added a new feature (Time Land) that allows you stake your time and receive interest. I'll likely publish a video about that in the next couple of days.

Hi Christian. I've received KYC invitation, however I was not able to do the KYC because when I click the KYC the screen is just blank and it does not proceed. Don't worry, TimeStope is updating the entire KYC process, you'll definitely get a chance in the future (might take a couple of weeks)

Sorry, unfortunately, nothing you can do about that. You could try to create a new account using a different phone number but that might also not work.

TimeStope's KYC verification is currently paused because the team is reworking/improving the process. Just try again in a few weeks.

If your attendance score reached zero your account is disabled. You might be able to create a new one in that case but I'm not 100% sure.

A public key allows you to receive cryptocurrency transactions. It's a cryptographic code that's paired to a private key. While anyone can send transactions to the public key, you need the private key to “unlock” them and prove that you are the owner of the cryptocurrency received in the transaction.
In other words, write down your private key and don't ever share it with anyone.

If you can't confirm your attendance, check if you attendance score hasn't reached 0 yet, because once it reaches 0 your account is disabled.

😂 I can relate. Took me 30 minutes to finish the KYC process. The one thing I didn't understand at first is, that you have to do whatever is asked AFTER the 5 second countdown is over and not during the countdown.

I'm sorry but without your private key you won't be able to restore your account. You should just wait for the reply from TimeStope, it may take around two weeks in my experience but so far I always got a reply from them.

If you account got disabled, uninstall the app and start over again.

What if i invite 200 people but they give up very soon or dont verify later? None of timestope coins will count for me later? This could be equivalent of fake account i guess but they are not fake.
You are right, if they never pass the KYC process the fTime/Tau collected through them won't get verified into sTime.
Sucks, but is a necessary steps to ensure fake accounts have no chance.
For me does not work. I am not sure 100% why but i cannot pass KYC verification. If i was understand corectly i need a minimum of 300 points or i am wrong ?
Same issue with bee network where i cannot do KYC also I see a popup message with Next round is comming soon.
There are some changes regarding the TimeStope KYC flow, just try again in a couple of weeks.
As for Bee Network, there you'll also have to wait as they closed the KYC process for now but will open it for the next batch of users in the future (no specific date announced though).
I wasnt invited to Timestoppe i stumbled on it in playstore and when filling in the line for my witness (invitee) i put my husbands name Shawn and he has never used Timestoppe so the id belonged ro another user evidently right? Thats what i assume because when checked it turned green and let me proceed. So with that being said, if the witness "Shawn" never confirms me or acknowledged me will i still be able to pass KYC verification once i make the 300 mark? Im almost to the limit and feel nervous ive waisted my time due to a technicality like a made up witness. Please help me understand and advise my next move. Id really like to progress in Timestope and support the project. Thank you.
Yes, that won't be a problem. The witness part just means that "Shawn" receives 9.6 Tau daily because "he invited you" (you using that ID as witness) but won't change anything for you.
I used your key as my referral. My KYC failed during my ID upload. I was asked to contact time stope...I did send a message to them for like 3days...no response and I can't complete my KYC...Any solution to that...
Give them some time. They always reply but might take around two weeks. Consider how many messages they likely get every day.

@@ChristianRauchenwald it seems I passed. Instead of a flashing KYC icon at the home page it showed a "V" which allowed me to apply as a validator which I will receive 1 rtime for it's verification. Now just waiting to be approved as a validator

ID will be your username and referral code. You might need to try a few times to find something that fits the requirements and isn't already taken by somebody else.

Take a few screenshots and use the "Contact/Chat" button on the TimeStope website to report the issue. Also mention which phone you are using and the Android version it's running on.

Don't know. There is no setting to disable that so the only thing I could think of is that your attendance score reached zero and your account has been disabled.

Yes, KYC is locked for now and will be enabled again in about a month. Nothing to worry about, the team just works on improving the process.

Not right now. The TIME exchange is planned for the 4th quarter this year and the final launch for the 4th quarter of 2022. So it will still take some time before you can trade sTime.
However, you can already transfer it to other TimeStope users, which means it can already be used for transactions.

Don't give up. Took me 30 minutes to finish the KYC process. I didn't realize at first that you have to do the required movement after the 5 second countdown.
The flying time stays the same after stoping. It didn't get removed, maybe a glitch
I'm not sure if it's a glitch or if it's on purpose to always show you the total amount you accumulated.

You can update your name in your profile by pressing the "Update" button. It needs to match your ID to pass the KYC process once you reach 300 attendance score.
