Pi Network was founded in 2019 by multiple Stanford professors with the aim to create a coin that can equally be mined by everyone and does not provide an unfair advantage to people with more money or better hardware.
Pi coin the official cryptocurrency of the Pi network can only be mined until the Network reaches 100,000,000 users, and since there are currently only 7,000,000 users, you still have the chance to become a pioneer and be among the first 10% to mine Pi.
Since mining Pi happens on your smartphone and the mining speed is not determined by hardware or operating system of your smartphone but only depends on the number of people you invite to join your Pi Network it's by far the fairest approach to building a cryptocurrency I've seen in a long time.
The biggest benefit of the current "mine Pi coins for free on your phone" phase is that we can be 100% certain that Pi Network is NOT a scam because it doesn't require any investment at all to get started.
In order to start mining Pi coins on your phone you simply have to follow the steps below:
1⃣ Visit 👉 bit.ly/36ZQfvV and download the Pi Network app.
2⃣ Launch the app and create your Pi Network account, either by using your Facebook account or your phone number.
3⃣ Enter "RauchenwaldC" (without the quotes) as your invitation code.
4⃣ Click on the "white bolt" icon to start mining Pi coins on your phone for free
5⃣ Repeat step 4⃣ every 24 hours
It's not yet sure if or how much Pi coins are going to be worth in USD, but that really doesn't matter that much.
For now, Pi Network and the Pi application on your phone allow you to mine the coin for free and even if the Pi Network project and with it the Pi coin die somewhere along the way, you did not lose anything.

I think the best thing we can do is start buying and selling with Pi on the marketplace. That way we are not dumping tons of Pi in exchange for real world money (pennies) but generating perceived value (its only value) for Pi. And obviously we would need to only use a portion of our Pi coins and hold onto the rest.

It will only take a few years, but that's why we keep diversifying our portfolio. Bitcoin came in 2008, way before Any adoption. The knowledge is out and Pi won't have to wait as long at all

Regarding Pi I think my video at ua-cam.com/video/PekumsFGWuc/v-deo.html is for now the last about Pi Network. The reason for that is that Pi has made so much progress that there is little doubt left that we'll reach the mainnet soon, and while there are/were still important milestones like the launch of the test-wallets to test the test blockchain, none of that is really important when we don't want to jump into technical aspects.
The last challenge Pi has to face is how the KYC process will work for the millions of Pi Network users that didn't get one of the few hundred thousand YOTI slots that were available so far. And once there is some news about that, I might make another video.
In the meantime, I'm trying to catchup with other projects and provide updates there as well.

I think some people are desperate for an answer if PI is worth in the short term. I suggest to see PI as a very long project and investment. The idea behind it seems good, so if you can’t live with, keep moving on.
💯 agree. But those that just are looking for a quick buck will anyway dump their coins on day #1 and after that the real value of Pi will establish itself over time.

Thanks, Christian this is a very informative video, and I have got my answer for my questions about Pi. I have one more question about trading by using Pi coins in the future. As you mentioned, is it going to be possible in all countries to buy a pizza or to pay for the items that we buy through eBay or Amazon etc. Who is going to make these companies accept payments by Pi coins?
Nobody can guarantee that Amazon or any other company for that matter will accept Pi, but once it reaches phase three and is listed on an exchange you can always just sell a few coins for FIAT and than use that money to pay on Amazon.
Or like it works right now - as shown in ua-cam.com/video/ajCEGLNLNJo/v-deo.html - you could pay another Pi Network user in Pi coins and he/she then orders for you on Amazon and pays with his own money.

Yes, your mining team (people that used your referral code) and your security circle are separate.
If you think about it all that is needed for a crypto currency to be viable is scarcity. Bitcoin achieves that by making it harder to mine as more bitcoins come into the market. Apparently Pi controls the scarcity by downright setting a user count, when it's reached, mining is no longer possible and Pi starts to become scarce as more people demand it. Honestly I think it's a genius idea, it's user friendly, and way more environment friendly than bitcoin since there's no power consumption needed.
Creating an userbase with a worthless token is not making is scarce. If you give free facebook tokens with no usecases to all facebook users, does not make this facebook token to have value.

Another question: If the device I'm using is faulty, and I switch my number to another phone, will I be able to open Pi with previously mined Pi and continue on? Or will I have to start over? Or what if I switch my number to another phone but use Pi from the old device?

That's why you define a password and ideally also link your Facebook account so if you don't have access to your phone number anymore and/or forget your password you'll be able to login on your new device with your Facebook account.
How much years is long term
Depends on what you are talking about. In stock investments I consider anything longer than 8 years as really long-term.
