This guy has serious talent, this is what shop owners want. This is why I'd trust him with my own toys. Making your own bumper wtf, tough project to do let alone by yourself. Every week I wait for these videos, keep em coming!
The skill and video content is amazing in itself , but I don’t know if many people realize the editing and film making skill . Angles , edits , lighting , time stamps and sub text . The video production is also top notch . This kid gives me hope for our youth yet ..
Still loving these videos. It’s impressive how you’re cranking these out. You clearly have a vision, and I love it. A lot of people love it. You’re brilliant. Keep it coming!
The good thing about this bumper contraption is it will be the only surviving part after any attempt to pull this rust bucket out of any mud hole, the rest of this thing will just break apart in neatly pieces ☺☺😁😅😂🤣
This just keeps getting better and better. Well done Simon! Btw, invest in a workbench/vise when the time is right. Your back, knees and hips will thank you when you reach the age of 50. Trust me.
Simón Fordman : a man of multiple talents. Former known as YamahaMan...eventually known as RadioShack-Realistic cassette deck repairman. Only destiny knows what other aliases his innumerable talents will give him in the videos to come.
That's a good looking bumper. Better than any of the china garbage you'd buy aftermarket for sure. Same goes for that vintage USA made winch! Still going strong 30 or 40 years after it was built, while a new one would break after 30 or 40 minutes.
Absolutely love your videos, I have a '90 f 150 and I just had to go through removing the bumper. Same issues on mine as yours... Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing Simon!
I know I’m not watching the whole process, but this dudes problem solving skills is bar none. Old plate a a template is so simple I wouldn’t have thought about it.
Cheers and respect for the young man ,the talent with the basic tools and work place, the only missing parts on the new bumper are some welded anchor points to retreave the vehicule just in case or mounting some shackles or pulley blocks to doubling or tripling the winch line...🙂
Please, Mr. Simon, how many tons can this used winch that you bought pull??!!! Please do not ignore this message of mine, I am waiting for you to respond to my message 😊... because I want to buy exactly the same for my car 👍🏾
Man, I love your videos. Excellent audio, camera angles, everything. Just the right amount of comedy, too - "Shi... " and the bowling noise in one of the previous videos. I absolutely love the way you try to re-use what exists whenever possible instead of buying replacement parts, too. Reminds me of when I was younger and had a budget of "Ramen + " or "Veggies + ". Keep doing what you are doing. Yer doin' it right.
At 27:38...be advised that sometimes solenoids does click but inside the points are not making contact because are worn out after hundreds or thousands of cycles. It does also happens with relays.
I’m normally a mig kinda guy but I think a stick welder would be a nice addition to your arsenal. I use mine for thicker metals. Plus it’s a good fall back skill to have.
Multi-purpose bumper/winch mount/battering ram. You're equipped for every eventuality! 33:08 Those welds aren't ugly. They add character! As usual, a very carefully thought out, neat and thorough job. It's too bad your welder and panel box let you down. Still, now you have a new welder and an excuse to upgrade the garage electrical service! 1:04:00 Somehow, I had a feeling that would happen!
Nice bumper winch! And you do it in the driveway, which is amazing. And, yes, having four wheel drive just allows you to get deeper into the woods before you get stuck. Looking forward to more of this.
Man I truly believe you could walk into any junkyard and drive out with any vehicle of your choosing with just the tools at hand. Really enjoy your videos, keep em coming. Great Job on that fabricated front bumper btw, that was pretty impressive.
I loved watching all your work on the bumper build. What a craftsman! Great old Warn winch. I wondered if you'd go looking for a reason to use it, just not so so soon. Now, I'm on the edge of my seat. You gotta let us know if you and that great old truck are okay.
Mane, this is a great repair channel, it's clear that you love this business, I hope to see 1 million subscribers on your channel soon, greetings from Russia
Great video's. Unfortunately, we don't have available access to cool pick ups and classic car's as you folks have in the states. But, really enjoy the vehicles that you work on. Blessings from New Zealand 🇳🇿 🙏
Pretty sure you need a harbor freight sponsorship. These videos remind of what I was doing around your age. Long Live Simon Boogerweldman, RedneckEngineerman, FuckitWe'llDoitLiveman. Dedicated fan for life. Dont ever stop.
"SHI"..........to be continued............LMAO. Been there, done that as well, my friend.........in the freezing Minnesota snow, too. Not fun!! Love watching your vids!!! Keep them coming. I miss my dad's old Fords from the late 70's, early 80's. I can honestly say that your knowledge of this stuff at such a young age is beyond impressive!! Well done!!
Another good video Simon. Cut off wheels, when used as grinding wheels, have been known to shatter. Full safety face shield, and safety glasses should be worn regardless of which wheel is used. Love the FoMoCo vidjas. Also, looks like you're ready for a welding rig with a longer duty cycle.
Love the video style, reminds me some of soup classic motoring, obviously different tho. He does voice over as well which is nice, but that being said I absolutely love the silent style, very refreshing to watch.
Irs always a bad day when a tool dies. I hope you like the new Titanium 125 you got, I currently own 7 welders and out of them my go to welder is my titanium 125 for small and medium jobs. I've owned it for almost 9 years and I can't kill it I have 1000s of hours on this thing and its been through 4 rusted car restorations, and it won't die. I've abused the hell out of it and its only needed small repairs through the years. Keep up the hard work 🍺 🍻
Wow that’s impressive. I like it but being a harbor freight welder, I wouldn’t have thought it could last that long. I was gonna return it and look for a used Lincoln 110v or something, but now maybe I’ll keep it.
@@SimonFordman Чувак, ты работаешь сварщиком, но не используешь магниты сварщика?! И варить лучше от центра детали к её краям - так деталь не поведёт.
It's all fine to make something permanent but what I found over the years is to make it portable. Like to put a receiver on the winch so you can put it on front or back.
Thank you for the video. I like everything you do. An old Ford pickup looks interesting and atmospheric. A new handmade bumper and winch won't hurt it. I don't know about anyone - I want the truck to be completely rebuilt, painted the frame, body. Well, if you like patina, at least cover it with matte varnish. Rains do not spare metal, but the car is decent. Good luck to you Fordman and inspiration for all this.
i despise watching youtubers talk for 30 minutes and work for 3 minutes i love your style
You're not kidding. Most of these "car guys" talk WAY too much and work WAY too little.
Simon Yamahaman only has 20 thousand subscribers? Cmon people, you know what to do!
I've been sharing with all I know.
He had like 7k last I checked so he’s growing

Simon actually repairs stuff, doesn't just replace for the sake of it ,but actually makes the absolute most out of what he has.👌👍
This is one of my preferred YT channels now.
absolutely
So happy I found this channel! No talking, all working, thoughtful production.

That jump cut at "SH...." LOL 🤣🤣
These are the breaks I need on a Sunday night.
This is satisfying just a dude working on his truck no yapping 😊
I believe that even Mad Max would be proud of that bumper. Well done!
Still loving these videos. It’s impressive how you’re cranking these out. You clearly have a vision, and I love it. A lot of people love it. You’re brilliant. Keep it coming!
The best part of the video is the more ford work! Thank you!
Чем круче джип, тем дальше идти за трактором! (народная мудрость). Замечательные видео!❤
Another great video bud! Thank you for sharing. I can see all the extra time you spend on editing and make it as good as possible. Well done!
Thank you for another video, SimonAnglegrinderman!
You make a very good Video Simon, no music & no talking just working & do stuff 👍
The good thing about this bumper contraption is it will be the only surviving part after any attempt to pull this rust bucket out of any mud hole, the rest of this thing will just break apart in neatly pieces ☺☺😁😅😂🤣
Truly excellent camera work and editing.
Simon had a vision. So he made it with his own bare hands and skills to make it a reality ❤
Whoever you told you were going mudding was waiting for that phone call😂
I'm waiting for the upload of him putting a lift and 33s on the truck now it's only a matter of time lol

Another great video. Keep doing this format. Always looking forward to the next one.
Dude, I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of your videos. Keep up the good work!
Awesome job and welder did great! Always weld uphill when you can because you get better penetration and Stronger weld 🤘
Very enjoyable and great work. The old Ford is getting better. Of course, you'll have to do the rear bumper now 😊👍
This guy does everything! That notorious ford power steering whine! My 87 ford truck did the same thing!

Love the design of the bumper and how you restored the winch…great as usual…!
Thank you again, Fordman!
Definitely an excellent UA-cam platform to follow.
He speaks 😂that old fords gonna be a smooth running nice rig at this rate
Well, if nothing else that bumper took care of any possibility of an inadvertent wheelstand! Great job
A deep cycle marine battery would be a great choice with that winch.
Oh man that metals store looks fun!

It's funny because many american "truck guys" would go ham about an old Hilux, and to us others they're just crappy old tools.

Gracias por las recomendaciones. Me fui a coge las por remedios. Excelente ruta.
Your clutch fan is toast, spun way too long after you shut it off.
Ah, good catch. I’ll get around to replacing it, runs at perfect temperature still though.
Heavy rusty iron parts, brutal sized cars, neverending distances this is how i see the USA. And i love that!

Definitely
Thanks for wrenching and sharing!
