Geht mir ähnlich 😂 ich finde, dass das auf deutsch n ganz anderes feeling hat, fast wie n anderer Musikstil. Dabei isses einfach nur übersetzt.
@@sanarity3448 ich denk Mal genau darum ging es der band. Die Jungs kommen ja aus Australien. Und offiziell hieß es ja, dass die Songs dafür da sind, die Connection zu sein deutschen Fans zu stärken. Aber ich denke die deutsche Sprache, die für außenstehende einfach sehr hart klingt, ist eben auch in gewisser Weise ein Stilmittel

When i intially saw this as a native german speaker i thought to myself "what have they done... oh no"
listened to it a couple of times now, and i've got to say. Winston has all my respect for this one, german is a really hard language, and he managed to translate an entire song while it still sounds really good. His pronounciation is a LOT better than i expected.
I cannot imagine how many times he had to redo the line "Da wo das fahle Pferd des Untergangs die Bahnen zieht".

As someone that knows these english lyrics so well hearing them in my native language is kinda weird but I'm also surprised how well it works! The syllables only create a problem like idk 3 times or something. How can this be so good! Also, very impressed with Winston. Surely he must've practiced a lot for this bc it's pretty good!

I'm a German Aboriginal-Australian, fell in love with your shit over this doco. I love that you showed the Wacken audience the love to redo songs in Deutsch and also with German artists.
Also, the in doco transition to Oz when it had two of the three Australian flags (Blue Ensign and Aboriginal flag), maybe add the Torres Strait Islander flag in revised versions of the doco.

As a German I once tried to teach someone to pronounce Umlaute (ä ö ü as in "Träume") and it's a weird mixture of difference vocals (Look it up! It's quite interesting 😉). So I have great respect for Winston that he not even tried (Something most people don't even do... They just use their own language's a o u instead 😑), but succeeded 😮 Well done! Well done!

They toured with their friends of Heaven Shall Burn (famous German Metal band) and so this came up. A German vocalist named Casper translated it for them... so this all has a big background. Parkway Drive are HUGE in Germany.

ich finds Klasse was die Jungs hier abliefern und allemal besser als Rammstein.
Wenn man den Song in nem halben Jahr live hört, wie sich die Aussprache wesentlich verbessert haben obwohl man ihn schon super versteht.
Wild Eyes oder Karma auf deutsch is bestimmt auch klasse 🤘
