The second review of this I have seen this morning, thank you. Apart from calling it a Capri, which it is nothing like, my main problem is that it is far too expensive at all levels of spec. Ford have done a good job with the VW MEB platform but is let down by the VW interior UI/UX. For less money I could have something from Alfa, Mini, or Smart which is more stylish and fun to drive. To offset that Ford do still have a reasonable dealer network in the UK. My nearest Ford dealer is closer than any of the alternatives I have suggested. The nearest Alfa dealer is more than fifty miles away, and given Alfa’s reliability reputation fifty miles is about 40 miles too far always assuming I make it there without roadside assistance. Still £56k for a family Ford? Really?
Ford need to get the stylists from Renault to do their retro styling. They’re evidently incapable of doing a competent retro styling job themselves! Like the colour though.
Derek, Old enough to remember the first Capri. Never considered buying one even though I owned Ford cars from 1980 to 2010. When are you doing the Renault 4.
The usage of the Capri really should've had a second thought, it was cynical given the crossover-SUV obsession/oversaturation which is unacceptable at this stage, hence the backlash - not because it's an EV. Ford could have had the sense to adopt and remould the ID3 of the MEB platform, maybe make a "saloon shaped" or even an estate to give the smaller ID3 more variety for consumers. Sincerely hope that the disconnected suits at Ford and every other automaker really start to read the room (and the writing on the wall).
Colour nice and c pillar and headlights nod to old capri are nice but ford should not have made an suv a capri. Suffers from haptic controls and other vw no nos. With vw having trouble with ev sales ford might hav bet on the wrong horse. Time will tell. Thanks. Des
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Hey, Quick search on Auto Trader. ID5, from mid 20k. Low mileage. Used EVs really are the way to go at the moment, especially with Ford trying to charge over £40k for this 'Capri' in the UK mainland.
Wow…that’s a seriously dull car. Completely lacking in any desirability. Admittedly I’m of a ‘certain age’ and remember the launch of the original Capri: now that was ‘desirable’. Even if it was a re-bodied Cortina, it was special. Not sure what Ford are trying to do here…other than use the buttons that VW realised nobody likes😆 A pointless car. Using the Capri name too? I think they’re running out of ideas.
This such ugly looking car compare to the old capri. The old version was real men car. this is like a girl car.now and look so silly. who ever design need to be sacked!!!!

Ford could've avoided all the trouble if they stuck with the ID3 instead of getting predictably greedy with the crossover ID4
Great video, seen your post on the UK EV owners FB page. Thanks for showing us all.
Thanks for the comment Tom
Is Ford actually trying to go out of business? Is there some sort of tax break for releasing dreadful products nobody wants?
Ouch

Drive will be a few months I'd say
Exterior is challenging....
🤣🤣🤣

Sales numbers are the best barometer of all

Ireland Pricing? Thanks for doing what you do.
€45,798 or the 55kWh and just under €48k for the 77kWh with the top trim.just over €50k
All including heatpump? Saw someone say that HP was optional extra 😮.
Exterior is fine I think, looks fine and I would take it BUT it carries the name Capri and it's performance stats is not good enough and too expensive
This is NOT a capri.
Buy a used id5. Simples. That's all this car is, but with a new frock on.
I wonder what's the difference if any in new Capri Vs used ID5. Not sure about availability

If you want an SUV EV plenty of other choices out there which will save you £000’s and remember, these things will depreciate like a brick!
Shame to call this a capri. Plenty of legendary Ford models that would better suit, Escort, Orion, etc.
I hate this car
I hate this *crossover-SUV for company car fleets
Ugly nothing like the old capri

Dreadful
What a load of 💩
Definitely not a proper Capri just another bland looking SUV
Looks like an orthopaedic boot! Totally vile, useless EV! Thank god ive still got 3 PROPER AND GENUINE CAPRI'S!
What EV is interesting to you?
