  • Dulcineasdiarycontinued - Apologies for poor footage, not as easy to video tunnel shots as it is on the driverless metro trains.
Viewers need to watch the other video of the Lighrail worker walk in front of tge Lightrail train/tram to remove the sign just before it arrives and departs as passengers board and alight.
Between Jubilee Park and the next lightrail station Glebe the driver drove very slowly through the tunnel between the 2 stations. Viewers especially train spotters probably know that when these tunnels were constructed you often see these archways indented into the sides of the tunnels. These little nooks were for railworkers to seek refuge in as trains/trams passed by so they were less likely to be run over by trains/trams as they passed. I'm sure there are better safety regulations now for rail and tram workers who have to work on the tracks such as must wear visible PPE and possibly hard hats, ear mufflers, carrying radios and safety glasses etc as well as not eating lunch on the tracks.
Note the other railworker in PPE sitting at the end of the Glebe Station platform at the other end of the tunnel where the train/tram exits out of acknowledging the driver of the train/tram.
Is it actually a train or a tram on the lightrail system in Sydney?
