Excellent video. 👍Good to hear that the embarkation process was so easy. Many years ago, there was a rail station at the Tilbury cruise terminal (called Tilbury Riverside) but this is long gone.
@@sistersontheseas Although Tilbury Riverside train station is now closed, you can still buy a ticket to it from any train station! C2C have a deal with the local bus company and if you buy a ticket to Tilbury Riverside you can use it on the local 99 bus which will take you from Tilbury Town station to the cruise terminal. The bus only operates up until 7pm from Monday to Saturday as it was mainly intended for anyone wishing to use the Tilbury to Gravesend ferry which also operated up until 7pm. The small ferry departed from behind where the cruise ships moor up and took passengers over the Thames to Gravesend. Unfortunately, the ferry service finished at the end of March due to the council taking away their subsidy but the 99 bus is still in operation at the moment.
Hello Lizzy and Laura , we also live in the West Midlands and Birmingham is our local town (roughly 30 minute bus ride) so last year me and my wife did our 1st P&O cruise on the Ventura, we enjoyed it that much (apart from Cherbourg) that we have another week cruise this year on the Iona and another 1 next year on P&O Britannia along the Norwegian Fjords recently we have recently found out about Ambassador cruise line and 1 cruise in particular is a Scandinavian Explorer package, so I've liked this particular embarkation video and also subscribed
We booked the Ambassador Fare which included our tips but I think it’s £6pppd otherwise. We also had the Expedition drinks package as part of that which we thought was a great deal.
Fish 'n Chips sounds good. That looks like a nice chocolate cake. What kind of fish was it? Don't like to meet new people all that much. Usually meet people either around food or in a casino. The Ambition doesn't have a casino. Think the other Ambassador ship does although it is small.
The fish and chips wasn’t bad, no idea what fish it was though. Yes, you’re correct, no casino onboard but we don’t really use ship casinos much so not a big loss for us.
@@sistersontheseas Luck has a small part in the equation. You should know the game you play. One time I was playing in a casino on a ship. The dealer didn't pay me correctly. I pointed out to the dealer that he paid me too much. The floorman saw what I was talking about and told the dealer to take back the chips and pay me correctly.
Hey ladies, enjoyed this! Was the coach included in the cruise price? I like the look of some parts of this ship but I have to say some bits looked a bit ferry like??? Loved the putting your hand up in school register style 🤣 Is it just me or is a pasty a strange thing to have as a starter? All for it though. Great stuff thanks for sharing
Thank you! It wasn’t for us, we paid for our coach and car parking but before we sailed there were some offers on this cruise that did include it. Total package price worked out pretty similarly though. Agree that the pasty was a bit strange, it was only mini though!
We are booked for July How was the theater with the seating, Was it hard to see or if you sat on the swivel chairs did the person behind you give you daggers?
It was a bit of a pain to be honest. If you don’t want someone to sit in front of you go for the swivel chairs. Unfortunately there isn’t enough other seating in there for people to avoid using them completely.
Thank you so much for watching our video!

Thank you! Oh really, that would be handy, we saw a few people dragging cases from Tilbury station which looked challenging.

Last ones standing! You’re doing it right! 😉 Embarkation looked nice and smooth! Although not keen on the old school muster drill 😑 great video guys!
Thank you! We agree about muster. Being the last ones standing is something we’re quite good at 😂
Great video guys! I can spot us in your muster drill photo! 👋🏼😅
Took us ages to find you, it was like a bad game of Where's Wally? 😅

@@sistersontheseas yeah planning on doing a fair amount of videos

Great video. What was the tipping like? Also costs of drinks package compared to other cruise lines?

@@sistersontheseas Casinos are where I usually meet people. Sometimes you could lose, but, sometimes you could win.

A pasty for starter, the food doesn’t look that great tbf.
It was pretty mixed, some we enjoyed and some could have been better!
