- Ambassador is Britain's Newest Cruise Line and Ambience is their flag ship! This VLOG details our Embarkation from Tilbury Cruise Terminal and our first day onboard. We look at Ambassadors Embarkation from Tilbury. We get a first look at Centre Court, the Lido Deck and Observatory Lounger on Ambience. We have our evening meal in the Buckingham Restaurant and we are excited by the entertainment offerings onboard. Ambience and Ambassador have actors onboard and this something we have never seen before!

Ambassador is Britains newest cruise line and we took the opportunity to sail with them in April 2023.Ambassador market themselves as Britain’s premium value no-fly cruise line who sail from 8 regional UK ports. Ambassador Ambience sailed around the British Isles and we were onboard for 11 nights. Ambassador Cruise Line currently has two ships in operation Ambience and Ambition.
We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.
We have created a list of our cruise essentials. These are items we take with us when we travel and we hope they may be useful to you. We have also added a Wine list which contains some of the wines we have tried whilst cruising.

Great to see inside Tilbury - I’ve actually never cruised from there and actually have no idea where it is. It certainly looks completely different to the more modern versions down at Southampton - funny it’s still such a quiet terminal…! Great video as always, gents!

Hi Tom and Dom. I remembered seeing this blog previously and dug it out to refresh my memory. Why? Because my daughter, Michaela, and I are booked into Ibis this Sunday and planning to have breakfast in IKEA!!! We were booked on Ambience for 5 night Xmas markets cruise but she is stuck in dry Dock so have been changed to Ambition for 4 nights on Monday. Decided to go down on Sunday anyway. We are not disappointed cos I wanted to try Ambition and the changed itinerary now includes Antwerp - my favourite port! And they have compensated us very satisfactorily. Thanks for this blog which put my mind at rest over the hotel. Cheers 😊

Great concise commentary on the embarkation and description of the room. We've made our minds up to go on the Ambience.. Only one question, was there much noise from the engines, or entertainment areas heard in your room.?
Noise was minimal. Like most ship they was some noise when docking but other than that all very good
A Dolphin class ship originally the Regal Princess sailed for a number of years with P&O Aus designed by Renzio Piano and considered a large ship when she was launched.

We used to cruise with cruise and maritime so very interested to see if Ambassador is very different . Love sailing from Tilbury😊

We just spent 17 nights on Ambience and enjoyed every second of it. Its a lovely old ship and the staff are all so polite and friendly. The food was superb weather in the Borough market or the main restaurant and the palladium shows are superb. Hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we did,

Hi Jill. Thanks for watching. The hot drinks in Dickens are chargeable at a reasonable price. Tea and coffee are available in the buffet included in the cruise fare although not the same quality.
Really great video again. Do you have a favorite cruise line now you have tried a number of different ones?
Still a very difficult question. We do like Princess but are trying an older/smaller princess ship in a few weeks. That will give us a good understanding of the brand as a whole

Thanks for watching. You are assigned a table for dinner and we were lucky enough to have a table for 2. For lunch and breakfast it’s open seating and we often found we were sharing a table with other

Thanks for your question! The specialty restaurants, Sea and Grass, Saffron and Captains Table are not included and incur an additional charge! We found them to be very reasonably priced 😀

Another good vlog, just wondering why you had to have covid passes for this cruise as majority of other cruise lines this is now not required
Thanks for your comment and thank you! 😀 Ambassador was one of the last cruise lines to stop checking COVID vaccinations. They are removing the requirement from Thursday 22nd of June!
Having read the poor reviews of Ambience on Cruise Critic, your reaction is interesting. How did you find the food generally as that’s the thing people on Cruise Critic complained about a lot (bland, uninteresting, all the same etc).
We did not have that experience at all. We found the food varied and generally of a high standard both in the MDR and the buffet.
@@TomandDomTravelusually on critic site you find it mostly people who will cpmplain fpr the fake of complainimg but I also went pn cruise critic snd their were also loafs sayimg how really good the ship was for the price as well
Guessing you were amongst the youngest on the ship....the demographic looks to be towards the more 'mature' end!?
Hi thanks for your comment! 😀 The main demographic was over 50 on this cruise!
