@@Zorpazorp have you done a tutorial on using a wet palette? At the moment I'm just using a normal palette and thinning with water/medium, would love to master wet palettes though, but for some reason I just can't get it quite right.
Love your guides mate. I'm not a confident painter but the explanations on some of these techniques has me keen to give it a go. I'm interested in knowing if you plan on painting up a Rex any time soon. I'm looking at trying to make him a centerpiece for my army but I'm not confident on the face or helmet.
Won't get to Rex for a while my dude, already painted up mine in a rush doe our firs tbattle report which will be out soon, and haven't found another one in stock since Covid19!
@@Zorpazorp I'm almost tempted to offer to ship you mine unprimed with the heads not on so you could do the vid but I'm also in the mind of "wanting to paint everything myself". I just painted my Obi in about 1.5 hours following your guide and I think it's 1 of the best models I've ever painted even if it isn't perfect. If you are keen on the idea of painting someone else's model to get the vid out let me know and I'll have a conscience think about it haha. Thanks again though for the guides huge help so far getting my Republic forces ready to face my wifes Imps.
Heck yeah! Ive been looking forward to this! Side question: if i wanted to add the 501st markings, would i just need to add the blue after the base coat white?
Yeah I would, that way it gets shaded and drybrushed so it will blend more with the armour and look more like real paint :) at some point I'll do a whole video on swuad markings :)
Thank you for making this video! Obi Wan is my favorite character was too scared to attempt painting the face, so had him professionally painted. After watching this video I may be confident enough to try the new Anakin and Maul faces.
@@MrGufalo Sorry bro it got a bit delayed when FFG delayed a bunch of stuff, smashing out my Middle Earth content and will get to it in the new year! Thanks for your patience :)
Great looking model and great paint scheme! I wonder if there would be a way to add tiny led's and plastic tubing (the kind off the ends of paint brushes) to add more realism to the lightsabre.? What do you think? 🤔
Any word on when the Mars basing is coming back in stock? While I'm here have you seen the Geonosis variant B1s and OOMs? They have a different paint colour that looks really cool!
We literally sold out a few days ago! Next shipment with a lot more is on the way! Maybe a fortnight. But maybe less. They've had supply issues at the manufacturer because of all the demand from legion hahaha
@@Zorpazorp Yeah, I'm wishing I bought it when I first saw your videos now. Now the exciting game of which can I get first, Starter Set or Basing Material.
I like the clone armor, but the robe just doesn't work in my mind. the contrast is realy weird and is way to dark in the deep spots and way to light on the raised spots. Looks a little like coffee stains. the rest is very good.

I had a lot of trouble with using plastic glue on any of the baggie figures. I thought it was fine, because of how well the pieces fit together, but when i pulled on them, they limbs popped right off.
Hej thanks for making these first of all, as someone with zero experience painting these have been helping a lot. Next to that do you think it'd be okay to paint captain rex in the same skin tones as obi wan or would you advice some different special sause
These vids are super helpful. Please do the BARC speeder as my noob paint skills are struggling!
Very soon man!
I just got this box and this tutorial is exactly what I wanted to do for Obi Wan
Glad I could help dude!

Brilliant 😂

Any tips for getting those bendy lightsabers to straighten out and stay straight?
Hot water dips mate! But it's a bit painful due to the plastic type on the older sculpts.

Could you please do a painting tutorial for the new Luke Skywalker Special Operative? :)

Question where did you find the mini drill that u use and will paper clips work instead of brass
I use paper clips all the time and that one is from Games Workshop[ but any hobby store should have one
You should have given him something to stand on, so he always has the highground
Indeed I should, Rookie error!

Have you used the paints designed for the game pieces. If so what are your thoughts?

I haven't sorry Olly
I do like this paint job but do you plan on painting his shoulder pad with the jedi symbol?

Can you do one for Anakin?
