  • We visited Japan's beautiful Jogasaki Coast, located near Ito on the Izu Peninsula and while walking, we got a good scare that quite literally had us running off the trail!
This was going to be a LONG video on the Itō area, so we decided to split our Izu Peninsula adventure into a few shorter videos instead! This is only Part 1, so stay tuned and we'll see you soon! :)

The coast of Jogasaki is so beautiful!
The drinks in the vending machine are so cute, I have never seen such small bottles!
Maybe there is a shooting range nearby, don't worry too much, your reactions are so cute, maybe that's what makes you attractive!
The noodles you fried look so delicious. You can open a restaurant in Japan and the business will be very good!
Thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! Looking forward to the next episode! 👍😄👏
    P. S. The first season of Shōgun, the recently popular American Fox series, has been aired.
It is the story of Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Edo period. Originally, the original series only had one season.
Due to the good ratings, it may be filmed for a second season!
I have finished watching it, and I recommend you watch when you have time!

It’s gorgeous!! I’m surprised it is not more popular with foreign tourists!
Yes, we suspected maybe hunters or a range.. maybe even fireworks but we could not tell.
Oh Alan would love to have a restaurant! He is a great cook (at least when he is relaxed!!) hahaha
Thank you so much. I think we might need to give that a watch too! So many people have praised it highly! We were told it was filmed near here too!

@@IfWeGoTo Perhaps its location is relatively remote, and ordinary travelers don’t want to go too far!
As for the sound of the gunfire, it is better to look at the bright side, so it must have been fireworks!
If Alan starts a restaurant, the business will be very good. I hope I will have the opportunity to make a reservation!
You can watch that series when you have time, after all you both like Japanese culture! 😍👌

Good evening! I'm so happy to see you two smiling in front of nature. The yakiudon noodles were full of ingredients🤣✨I think the plant around 5:00 is a "Urashima-sou" (Urashima flower). There are other similar plants such as "Yukimachi-sou", but when I searched for images, the closest one was "Urashima-sou". I'm looking forward to the next video😆

You guys might have already visited this place but just in case you have not. I highly recommend that you visit a town called Izu Shimoda where there are many serene beautiful beaches (especially one called Tatato-hama-Beach). If you go there, try a day-onsen experience (only 2000 yen) at this hotel called Yamatokan (an English site available) which is overlooking the beach. Shimoda, as you may know, the very first sea-side town that was opened to trade with Americans and the first American Consulate was established in 1853.

6:45 In Japan, the wood of these shrines and temples is not painted or coated with preservatives. They last for hundreds of years because the wood does not absorb water. After all, the surface is sharpened with a so-finely sharpened plane, it repels water.
    ua-cam.com/video/zs9X-XzFGHI/v-deo.html
The oldest timber building in Japan is Horyu-ji Temple, built in the early 7th century.
The gunfire is most likely for hunting bears or wild bores.

This is the perfect little video! The noodles looked so delicious! What did you put in them? I feel like I want to recreate them at home where I can. I clearly can’t get those gorgeous mushrooms 😅n Hollister but maybe on a day I head up to San Jose I can hit an Asian market to see what they have.

Thank you!! It was hard to choose whether to go long or short, but short seemed better for now!
If I recall onion, garlic, leek, udon noodles, cabbage, green bell pepper, mushrooms, carrot, spinach, beef slices, and seasoned it with a bit of soy sauce and pepper!
You could probably find them somewhere! Maybe trader joes? They're called King Oyster mushrooms, they're super good!!

There are trailers you can check out on UA-cam to see if it's your cup of tea. Based loosely on the real experiences of an American working in Tokyo around the turn of the century as a reporter who is assigned to the crime desk wanting to investigate stories a little more deeply than his Japanese colleagues are inclined to. Highly watchable with several interesting characters and depictions of different slices of Japanese life and society. Anyway, look forward to your next video adventure.

Are Asian countries famous in the USA ? Do most Americans know China Japan. South Korea. Taiwan Thailand. Malaysia. Singapore. Philippines and Indonesia ?

    • @louisecallanta5968
      @louisecallanta5968 Місяць тому +2

We know about the countries but really only big cities. It is like thinking of the USA as New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles there is so much more to the US.
We tend to be US centered and don’t think about the bigger world picture other than famous places.
I think Brandi and Alan do an amazing job of showing us parts of the world we never conceived of. At least for me personally.

    • @IfWeGoTo

Hi! I think most Americans are familiar with Asian countries. Something cool about the USA is that many many people have immigrated there over generations, so it's truly a melting pot of cultures, including much of Asia!
