Mr,Pastor use a positive point-of-view when evaluating family members using words.
悲しい事に私を含め多くの現代日本人は家庭でも社会でも減点式評価の観点で教育を受け生きています。
Sadly, many modern Japanese, including mys, are educated and living in terms of subtracted evaluation both at home and in society.
でも、牧師様の様な思考や人との接し方の方が他人の良い特徴を引き出せると感じました。
But,I felt that thinking like a Mr,pastor and interacting with people can draw out the good characteristics of others.
又、周囲の人も自分も幸せをより共有出来るのは牧師様の人との接し方だと思います。
Further,I felt that it was your way of treating others that allowed me to share happiness with the people around me.
これからの人生出来る限り、牧師様から学んだ事を取り入れ実践したいと思います。
As much as I can in my future life, I would like to take what I learned from the Mr,pastor and put it into practice.

私も若い頃頻繁に出掛けました。 城ヶ崎、下田、弓ケ浜は釣り、湯ケ島、修善寺温泉、堂ヶ島、石廊崎は景色、ほんとに伊豆半島は景色、温泉と楽しめる所が沢山ありますよね良い所を旅行出来て良かったですね。ネイトさん３日位ではまだまだ序ノ口です。もっと計画を建て楽しんで下さい。
伊豆の南部はスキューバダイビングスポットでも有名です。ヒリゾ浜などは子供連れでもシュノーケリングが楽しめます。是非開拓してみてください。

Please visit south part of Izu(Minami-Izu) during summer for ocean activities such as snorkeling. South part of Izu has the most beautiful ocean around Kanto region. Please look up ヒリゾ浜. It’s a great place to make a video about.

It's a good place! It's similar to Boso in Chiba prefecture. You can also enjoy a trip to Boso in Chiba Prefecture! You can enjoy nature in about 40 minutes by boat from Kurihama in Kanagawa Prefecture to Kanaya by ferry.

And love is like a fire - it needs fresh fuel everyday or it dies out and grows cold. But the good news is that a fire that once burned can be started again. Nice talking with you on chat for a while. !(^^)! After that I watched this superb video that made me remind of beautiful places of this peninsula. Since my hobby is landscape photography I went to Izu often while I lived in Tokyo. But I'm sure you visited more places there this time than I did in many years. I tended to visit the same places often in different seasons to take the same landscape but in different seasons. They showed different beauty, of course. Wish you have perfectly refreshed and with the priorities duly reset gone back home with full of strengthened motivations in both your public and private life.

what kind of trip would your wife take? it would be cool to see the different trips if you both do it:) There's a mountain in japan where a famous ramen shop exists at the top, that only serves ramen until 2 pm. I think it's called Boyosu, if you like hiking you might like that.
That sounds very interesting! I think Ruth's type of trip would involve shopping, relaxing and eating different kinds of foods :)

Where did you start the 7 km trail?
Is it difficult to drive along the east coast of Izu as I’ll be 1st time driving (female driver!) in Jpn this May. plan to drive from Ito(over 2 days) where our hotel is, to see Mt Omuro, Kawazu Falls, Ryugu sea caves, Hashidate susp bridge & Irozaki Cape. Pls advise. Tks!
Sounds like a fun trip! Just take your time (the speed limit is pretty low through all of it) and pay attention to your maps - then have fun!
Was wondering, how long does it take to climb to the top of Kumomi Sengen Shrine?
I don't remember exactly now, but maybe an hour? A little less (something like that)
