Been making the sauce from this regularly for over two years now. Don't get me wrong, done the whole recipe and it's the dog's proverbials, but the sauce is so versatile. I use it on ribs. To finish pulled pork or brisket. On chipolatas baked till sticky and moreish. With eggs (add some chilli). Great as a condiment (reduce it longer for a thicker sauce). Add a dollop of chipotle paste.... I know its not cheap to make but worth it I promise 👍

My smoke detector screams at me if I put bread in the toaster. I imagine purposefully setting something on fire and then sticking it in the over would end up with a hole in the wall where it once was. But its a neat idea nonetheless.
Mine is hardwired throughout the house and I can just twist it and disconnect it the kitchen one. If you can't remove it, you should still be able to disconnect power and backup power.

Black treacle/molasses is a winner for a sticky bbq sauce. And if you don't want to set fire to things in your oven a few dashes of liquid smoke gives a really good woodsmoke flavour - if you can source it! Very cute, btw!

Josh W. If you have a grill you can smoke outside. You can also disconnect detector temporarily.
