You can keep that with you when you travel to different cities domestic in Chinese mainland. Plus, I see more and more red propaganda slogan signs on the streets everyday, that's another prompt - it's time to leave, before it's too late. A little background, I bike a lot and sometimes long distance trips, and I get to see how normal Chinese live in rural areas of China. One such incident happened in 2019 while I was on my way around the Tai Hu lake, and I saw like a thousand armed police "attacking" a rural village and tearing down the villagers' houses (强拆), so I took out my phone and started recording, and 10 seconds into the recording, 6 cops surrounded me and told me to "stop recording, delete the file or you and your phone will be destroyed." So I had to comply seeing they are quite violent. Even after deleting the video, they took my phone away with force and tried to check my phone, it was an iPhone and locked (good thing), so they asked me to unlock it, then I told them I was a US citizen and they were violating my rights, the whole thing escalated so eventually some kind of "manager" came out and just told me "get the f*** out of here," so I webt straight home after that.
