This is very interesting. I appreciate the explanation. I made 2 skirt suits for myself 5 years ago and need to make some adjustments since I started learning how to goaltend (I’ve hockey), mostly to the jackets. -Thank you.
At approximately 0:10 to approximately 0:12, what garment is Andrew Ramroop sewing? It looks like it’s either a skirt or a waistcoat but I can’t tell. Also, for what it’s worth, the garments that Maurice Sedwell makes are coats, dresses, shirts, skirts, suits, trousers and waistcoats.
I'd love a bespoke suit one day ofc fit for me but with more masculine shoulders and less of a nip in the waist cos I'm more comfortable with that 🥰 watching these is so soothing.
As a rule, men's jackets and women's jackets are reversed. For men: buttons on the right, buttonholes on the left. Pocket on the left. And on a double breasted jacket, the left part goes over the right one. With women's jackets, buttons are on the left, buttonholes on the right, and so it is the right part which goes over the left one. Visually it makes more sense to have the pocket on the right then (note that ladies have two buttonholes on the lapels whereas men most of the time have it only on the left lapel)
I dont know why but i love watching this stuff
Women need more of a spotlight in the suit industry again! I'm glad this video sheds light and even exists. Fantastic!
Would love to see a suit from measurements to final handover.
I would absolutely love at least one bespoke suit : skirt, pants and jacket. God willing!!
So would I but I could never afford 😔 it.

Yeah but you’re a guy. This is weird
Yeah well you’re stuck with TJ Maxx for now darling

The irony of NOT calling women's suits double-breasted... 😏
🤣🤣🤣I'm weaaaaaaakk🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its one of the big things on my bucket list: have a bespoke suit from Savile Row.
You are a master craftsman Andrew.

Thanks for this. Would love to see the stitching together process. Can you please do a video on the cutting and sewing?
Congratulations and hugs for your efforts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andrew is the BEST

That blue suit on the right - can it be worn for war?
Andrew always puts emphasis on functioning buttons. I think he despises non-functional buttons with all his heart.
I would like to know more about the flower buttonholes and how they are made.
It just occurred to me that these suits are made completely by hand. 😮 I havent seen a single sewing machine in any of Mr. Ramroop's videos.
Imagine showing up to class at tailoring school in a hoodie, sweatpants and ratty Uggs😂 the professor would probably send you off!
I want to learn and design where can I go. I'm in Pretoria Gauteng
Fabulous!
Thank you!
Nice job
Double breasted and single breasted does seem a bit strange to describe women's clothes.
Women have so many more curves to draw attention to in a suit. They are like art in a well fitted suit
Why is the breast pocket moved to the right? Is there a reason or purpose, or is it just to be visually distinctive?

Its kind of funny because in nature, usually the males bear more colours and "fashion" so to speak😂
Sounds Trinidadian...
bang on.

Wouldn't all women's suits be double-breasted? Lol unless you're ellen page XD
Imagine thinking it matters what gender the person is who made your suit...wow. pro tip, it doesnt.
at what point did anyone say you should in this video. chill.
