Hi Kirby! Thank you for your passion in all your presentions of craftmanship around the globe. It would very nice to see you meet and interact with Bedos leatherworks in Virginia , Falls Churh from a perspective of reparing shoes but also questioning quality level of industrial making shoes. Tommy//Sweden Thank you very much for what you are are doing for heritage and craftmanship. Tommy Alund
That suit…….wow. Frog mouth pockets have a hint of hunting. The fabric is incredible. The first fit is spectacular. How do people feel about the back and how the fabric patter works with the front? I would prefer it to match
As much as I love Eric's approach and personality: when he said "your collar is a bit low", I couldn't help but think to myself: as is the collar on Kirby's last suit Eric made. 😁😅 Great cloth, very much looking forward to the finished jacket.
Kirby's becoming a Tweed addict: the shooting suit, the Kent, Haste house tweed and now this one. Where will it end? Brown and blue are a great colour combination. Brown and pink work really well together as well. The back of the coat looks like it was superglued to the small of Kirby's back the way it's fitting there.
Kirby another wonderful video and cloth from Lovat mill looks beautiful. The frog mouth pocket mentioned sounds great and different. Looking forward to more from this series and your visit to Italy.
heavy tweed made by Italian tailor is my newest obsession. I recently took delivery of a bespoke sport coat from my Neapolitan tailor last year. The cloth was a vintage undyed tweed from the 80s. Though being a double breasted coat, it feels like a comfortable sweater when paired with light Neapolitan construction. I absolutely love it! Good move here, Kirby!
Please do a video that goes over different styles of tailoring(English, Italian, ...). I know there are a lot of videos out there, and you have touched on the subject throughout some of your videos, but it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on each and how one should select one of these styles. Also, I wonder how you would select a tailor and based on what criteria you choose one. I think a lot of us want to enter the sartorial lifestyle, but it is a very intimidating world to enter, since there are so much going on in it. I am one of those, and I would appreciate it if you make a video that goes over the basics. Thanks Kirby!
It's not that uncommon, I've seen alot of uk tailors work with more Italian mills like Loro piana and in your case Italian tailor working with a UK mill. Little adjustments, but hey, its cloth, and each and every one reacts different . Glad you are happy or at least that's the general vibe .
Does anyone know which Cigar Kirby is smoking at the end? Or if not if @Kirby Allison you could give me an indication yourself that would be splendid! Always a highlight when you publish a new Video Kirby! Kind regards
Fine video and bespoke Jacket. FYI Kirby Sartoria has four syllables with the accent on the third Sar-tor- I- a, the I sounding like the letter E. ciao 👋 from Milano. SF
I'm guessing Eric had Kirby's measurements from before and therefore was able to go straight to first fitting. If measurements changed a bit between his suit and now a measurement or two may be needed.
@@TheLycan238 that's true, but, I'm just surprised he skipped the cloth selection and "commissioning" part. I guess Mr. Kirby just didn't want to tease us anymore.
I really like this pattern! Kirby's lessons are really amazing. I enjoy him very much. He's turned me onto a few interesting ideas on tailors. I do have a question for the community however. Does anyone else ever notice that Kirby talks over people often? I don't mean to be rude about it, but I've noticed it in several of his videos.
How would you compare this to Italian tailoring in Italy as opposed to Italian tailoring in New York? I lived in Naples for 6 years and there is still no where that compares in my opinion.
Lmao the guy running towards Kirby in the background during the intro.
Running with imaginary shopping bags
I must say that is one of the most beautiful jacket's I have ever seen. That is just beautiful.
Kirby's absolutely in his element here, such a natural wonderful conversation,

the way that dude runs in the opening is phenomenal. 0:16
He needs bespoke running shoes.
@@aqibshirazi8099 Sadly, I used to run like that.
Eric is the most Italian American ever, a pencil mustache and a tri-color tape. Love it
Pretencious

Yes! I enjoy your shows on bespoke suits!

Could be he has seen the same
Italy produces some outstanding fabrics, doesn't surprise me at all.

Beautiful jacket Kirby I love it
Suit looks way better than it did. I imagine a lot more work went into it than a simple pressing

I swear Eric has an Italian-Canadian accent, not American. I wonder if he’s actually born and raised in New York.
4:30 "Fedex couldn't care less" I think is their new slogan
Eric Jensen is such a bad ass
Horse-Hair? I Believe That That Leads To Excellence In Breeding; Wonderful!!!!
Where the tweed comes from? I've looked 3 Lovat famous Bunches up but I couldn't see such a chcolate brown tweed with bold pattern.
Amazing content!
I'm not sure it it was the violins playing or that jacket taking me by storm, but when I saw that jacket I almost cried haha

When Kirby trying to be Nicholas Foulks 😅
What is Mr. Jensen’s watch brand?
Heavy tweed suit intended for a Dallas inhabitant? Sounds perfectly logical to me. What could possibly go wrong? 🤔

Scotland and Ireland are traditionally the best but some of the world's finest fabric is created in Italy.

Not a big fan of the tweed. It works for Nick Foulkes, but your classic taste is more to my liking.
What is the last music composition?
Chopin, Waltz in A minor, I believe.
Wear that jacket with the Lee Miller boots. 😎

Sorry, dear Alison, but the sleeves wasn't well assembled. There are so many wrinkles, even you take your arm stand by.
