Beautiful blanks, really enjoyed watching the process!
Beautiful turnout as always! It's great to see you making videos again.
Thanks Ellis! Glad to be making more videos!
Looks really good.
Interesting! Would love to see a picture of the finished (turned) product if your client doesn't mind. Stay safe!
The oceanic blank looks really good,
Thanks Alan! I love the look of it
Wow you’re not kidding! That white looked cool as shit! I didn’t expect it to do that. I was expecting you to use a toothpick of some and swirl it around or something, but no that was much better!
Haha thanks Barry, I think it looks awesome too!
So pretty
Good result! I'm doing simpler things for now...
Casey began to make a video in connection with the virus?) More resin and wood! More! Hi from Belarus!
Awesome videos!! Question I have is when pouring with mica powder and I don’t swirl it at all it seems to set in a veiny look.. is there any remedy for this??
Super cool!!👍👊
Thanks Jake!!
Hi Casey, These are beautiful. I am new to pouring alumilite, just started last Saturday. After watching your video I can this a try and after pouring the clear and pouring the white on top like you did the white mixed with the clear to make an almost totally white color. How did you get the white to make the ocean antic look and not mix with the clear? Was there a specific temperature that you poured at to do this? I turn wine stoppers and would like to give this look a try. I appreciate your help. Michael
Could you please tell me what brand pigments you used? I LOVED what the "midnight pearl" did to that mix! It was a GORGEOUS combination!
Nice video
Hi Casey, 2 great looking blanks. Do you know what these will be turned into? Cheers, Huw
Casey I have a question about resin casting. I made a blank mold for pen blanks. Its 5"x5"x1". It makes 5 blanks. When I take it out of the pressure pot I notice the 4 corners of the resin blank have a little dip . When I cut the blanks the two outside blanks are not square. Pressure is at 60psi. Is that normal?
That is totally normal. It has to do with the resin curing and temperature. The warmer resin pulls to the center while curing as the cold mold doesn’t help.
If you don’t want it to put the mold in a toaster oven for like 10-15 mins and it will cause it to do it less. It may still a bit but it’s normal.
Did you use your pressure pot with the Alumilite? Did you use Clear or Slow?
I always use my pressure pot. It is necessary when casting Alumilite. I used the normal version of clear.
Hi sir im from the Philippines may i ask how much for 1 wood resin
If it’s 50/50 do you still weight out? Is one more dense than the other?
One is more voluminous than the other
Good to know thanks👍
Is it for knife handles?
It’s going to get turned on a lathe!
Hi Kasey I’m the newbie I sent my comment and then I read it oh my God I’m sorry disregard that I got to read it I use the voice thing anyway I wanted to let you know that the pet first, just messed up
