I'm about to lift 2'' using dobinson kit. I was set on buying spacers. Do I even need spacers? or do you recommend these adaptors instead? I'm seeing conflicting info on whether to buy spacers or not. I will be purchasing kdss switch for sure
The other reason say you have low ride height where the bushing angle is starting to get bad and you have shocks like king shocks then yes you would run it anyway to get full droop as this part does multiple things.
@@Tundra24 I am not a fan of the front drop spacer. It was designed to allow max droop or a lift with kdss. Was not made for fixing a kdss lean. That can be done with no parts. The purpose of the adapters was to keep the sway bar up nice and high. It’s up to you. Do you like your sway bar low? Oh not to mention you also lower the kdss shock piston in front which you lose travel and if you have a setup like mine where it’s long travel. You run the risk of pulling out the piston from the shock. Rear kdss drop spacers is a thing for sure and I still recommend them. This is drkdss by the way. I’m just using my other account.
@@fltllc4136 hey man it’s a pleasure! 🙏🏼 I currently have a 2018 GX460 with fox 2.5 with dsc all around, I honestly didn’t like the drive after I installed the front KDSS spacer. I got a lean but the shop I took it too added a rear Ironman spring spacer to correct the lean, a bit skeptical 🤨 since I saw one of you videos that you mentioned the kdss fluid will still be unbalanced, if im correct.
No Proof , if you lift 1.5 Inch lift will not hurt , and your CV Angle will remain straight , also lifting any vehicle more then 2 inch will destroy vehicle geometry . your 4runner CV angle in this video is not straight ...
Um cv angles do not need to be completely str8. Yes that’s ideal but not necessarily needed especially around 2-2.5” lift on these 4Runners or gx. At some point a diff drop is worth it if one has a tall ride height where the cv joint is actually binding. Honestly I feel like you are trolling 🤣🤦🏻♂️.
Do you ever open up the KDSS valves when you’re doing this or na?
I do not. I use my kdss control to help keep my system balanced and happy. You can use it to fix it or to prevent it.
How do you get the bar on the driver side to line up?

how much of a lift in front would necessitate this mod? would a 1 inch lift benefit from this or would it actually be adjusted too much?
Nah you don’t need. It’s if your bushing angles are bad do to a higher lift say around 2.25” it starts to want to bind.

This will eliminate what? Or simply readjusting position
It corrects the bad bushing angle created when lifting a kdss. Go to Drkdss.com and read the description on the product.
I have a kdss spacer in the front, would you recommend removing the spacer and running these brackets instead??
