I was able to get mine to sprout almost immediately by putting them in warm water for 24hours, so in a bowl with water on a heat mat in a plastic baggie. Then I planted them and put them on a window sill still in the plastic baggies and voila! They are beginning to spout!
Hey thanks so much for the awesome tip, can’t wait to try it out. I thank it’s such a neat plant I’m so happy I’m adding it to my collection too! Happy growing! ❤️
@@Houseplantygoodness I came back specifically to announce that I have growth!! I am so excited!! I just noticed today and wanted to share my moment of success. There is a tiny bit of green growth that's emerging from a side indention. Can't wait for more stem and hopefully, leaves!
Nice video. Did it root once you added the humidity dome cup? I am having challenge to root it. What soil do you use? I hear people use very gritty mix. Spouting seems easy, it's the roots that are a challenge for me. Thank you.
I’ve had mine for almost 5 months and it’s done nothing. Well, that’s not entirely true. It arrived without any roots. I have seen some root action, definitely. Just waiting for a sprout. I’ll try this method for a couple weeks. Thanks.
Thank you for all the great information. 😊

Wow very cool, I have not heard of sprouting them in water before. Awesome. Thanks for sharing 👌👍
Did you seal the plastic bag?

Just in time, mine has been sitting for two months and nothing! Thanks for sharing, just put a plastic cup over the top of mine!
I hope it helps 😁 it still took a while even with the cup, but it definitely helped
